I struggle with my favorite foods being cookies, cake, and candy.

My mom had many cookbooks... and for some reason her food still sucked. :/

Cooking is apparently very hard.

I think it's not that hard. My mom just... I don't know. She's special.
My mom also seems to wonder why I spend a lot of my time talking about her to my internet friends.

People tell me cooking is difficult and baking is easy as long as you have a recipe.

I find that to be true. c:
Baking isn't so bad because everything relies on exactness of the recipe.

But I don't like baking very much because I suck at following recipes, so I am much better at cooking.

I'm so afraid of using the oven that I need someone to tell me what to do.

Baking is all about following a recipe.
Cooking requires you to watch and know when to turn, stir, turn up/down heat... and so forth. Also most people deviate from recipes when cooking, unlike when baking. So "experimentation" often ruins good recipes.

I am pretty good at guessing things when it comes to cooking.

I like to experiment in the kitchen.

I cooked some vegetables in peanut butter and coconut milk with some sriracha once and it was sooo good.

My momma's family is one of those ones where they don't measure when they cook, so passing around their amazing recipes is tough.

My mom's family was like that too.
But their cooking was stuff I would NEVER eat. One time my grandma tried to teach me how to cook mac and cheese and she had soooo many steps and in the end the mac and cheese wasn't even that cheesy. It was just noodles and some really thick cream with cheese on top that was baked. THAT'S NOT MAC AND CHEESE! >:C

And then my aunt used to "cook" potato salad and she put some brown potatoes chopped up in tupperware, then added THREE F-ING JARS OF MIRACLE WHIP NOT EVEN REAL MAYO... MIRACLE WHIP. So gross....

Yuuuuck, Miracle Whip! But I don't like whipped cream. WHY WAS SHE PUTTING THAT ON SALAD?

Mayo is nasty.... it's just creamed eggs and oil. BLECH. Miracle Whip is a salad dressing... it's meant to be in salads.
Though, with any dressing, you don't need a lot of it. It's just supposed to be a flavor additive. Though I would rather blend up an avocado instead of Mayo OR Miracle Whip.

Miracle Whip is sooo nasty. D:
She was making potato salad. But she WAS DOING IT WRONG. >:C

Miracle Whip is so nasty. It's sweet and gloopy. Real mayo is so much better.
Even vegan mayo is much much better.

I don't like Mayo at all... i'd much rather eat Miracle Whip. I feel like my arteries are going to close up when I have eaten Mayo. So fatty and oily.

But everyone has different tastes. Eggs aren't a big staple in my diet either....

That is why recently anything that calls for Mayo OR Miracle Whip, I substitute it with Avocado.

I love vegan mayo.
No eggs in it. I can eat that stuff with a spoon.

I love using avocado instead of most creamy things.
I especially love making sauces out of avocado. Mmm yummy.

Avocado in brownies is a thing. I'm curious. I've never had an avocado. Momma doesn't like them, and she loves food, so maybe I wouldn't like it.

I've never tried Vegan Mayo... but if it tastes like regular MAyo, I will pass.

Avocado is a clean creamy flavor. It's hard to say what it is like... because it isn't a severely strong but more like a gentle flavor. It is there, but subtle and light on the tongue.
I suggest you try it. It is a very healthy vegetable. I love to just peel and slice it, maybe salt and pepper it... but mostly just eat it by itself. However mixed into salads and other foods is great too.

I've never heard of it being in brownies.... but I can see how that would substituent the oil usually used for brownies..

I don't think I eat creamy stuff.

Dark chocolate bacon brownies. That's where it's at.

I was onboard with the dark chocolate, but you immediately lost me when you added bacon.
I like bacon.... but not with my chocolate. I'm good smothering it in maple syrup though.

I can't agree.... I'm picky with anything pig related. I barely eat bacon, so I'm picky about how I eat it.

I enjoy bacon alone. Most chocolate is way too sweet for my taste.
