In what country do they not use teavana tea in starbucks? Us does. I do think tazo tea is still a thing somewhere but I'm not sure. Nowhere I know of anyway.

Here in MN they don't sell Teavana tea at Starbucks. :(
Some Starbucks here in my town are so small they don't even sell tea at all!

No tea...? But even the licensed stores in Target and Kroger and such sell iced teas at least. So these small stores only serve espresso beverages???

Yeah. They just sell coffee and espresso and stuff. :c
They serve iced coffee, but the last time I went, they didn't sell any tea.

I think they had the chai tea though, the kind that came already made in a box and you just pour and heat it up? I think that was Tazo.

This Starbuck's location in my town is mostly a cafe, though. They sell drinks, but it's mostly coffee orientated and food.

That's really strange to me... I've never been to a starbucks that didn't have tea. But I suppose there's a first time for everything!

Also- strangest request I've ever received today. "Can I get a grande (medium) in a tall (small) cup?"

Uh...

Yeah, I'm a little surprised that they don't sell iced tea. That's a real solid part of the menu. I could believe hot tea easily, but wow. I guess it's location and all.

Furious: ah yeah, I've got that request before with an americano in a smaller cup because they thought it was cheaper and were 100% convinced of it rather than just adding an extra shot. We checked and it was the same price. Sometimes they get creative to save money. Certainly not the weirdest thing I've heard.

Oh is THAT what she was doing? It was even an iced americano.

People try way too hard to save pennies. I take it you also get the "Venti iced americano, no water, lt ice, extra 2%" mobile orders as well? smh every time. Just pay for your latte.

I don't see a point in starbucks unless I'm ordering a dessert type drink. I mean, for the price it's not all that great. Even the lemonade stuffs I prefer brands like simply and blend it at home (I blend all lemonads or refreshers if I get one). So when I do get a drink, it's usually something of a sweet treat. My drink of choice is known as the cinnamon roll frapp.

Not quite like that. All our customers know that we won't fill it up to the top with milk if you didn't pay for dairy. Sounds like the Vietnamese iced coffee thing that has become so popular though.

Empress: I would feel that way if I paid for my drinks. It's silly how much people will pay to get something they could buy in bulk at the grocery store for less. At least if it's a specialty drink, it's worth.
Hard to get much sweeter than the cinnamon roll though. XD

I haven't been to Starbuck's in a long time, so I'm sure that the location in my town probably sells tea now. But the last time I went was like, at least 5 years ago.

I don't drink coffee, so I haven't really gone to Starbuck's in an incredibly long time. :x

Kat: Yes! That's most of why I really don't do the starbucks anymore. I just can't justify the price. But also life changed. In college, starbucks was the social thing. Now we're all a bunch of parents or homeowners and our idea of social is a movie and pizza or ice cream while tiring out some children. I usually get the cinnamon roll one on my birthday or at Disneyland on the rare occasion we stay for fireworks. It's super rare we do. One or both of us always has work in the morning. I'm really partial to cinnamon though just in general.

I think the tea thing is fairly new. It maybe started 4-5 years ago when the refreshers launched. It's ok, but I run into the pricing issue with the teas and lemonades too. I think I'd like tea so much better if I knew how to make it right. I never do.

My location is crazy. There's Starbucks all around me. Two in the mall that I work at (one in the main mall, the other in the Target that is apart of the mall) and one outside of it. The Starbucks that stands by itself outside of the mall that is in a tiny little plaza draws in a crowd of people I really don't like (who always tend to hog up what tiny seating space there is with their "OMG, like, Chris did this at, like, Prom, can you believe it? Like, wtf smh," talk and empty drink cups, so I usually just try and stick to the ones in the mall. Even though Starbucks is expensive, I've maneuvered my way around the menu (and the online secret menu) over the past five years into getting drinks I personally feel are well worth the money. They're all custom drinks too.

1.) Butterbeer!
Now I got this off of the secret menu site, but I only slightly tweaked with the number of pumps to my own standards. My dad always says it tastes like caramel popcorn to him.
  • Start with a Vanilla Bean Frappe
  • Toffee Nut Pumps (1 for tall, 2 for grande, and 3 for venti)
  • Caramel Pumps (same number of pumps applies to Toffee Nut)
Depending on how much of a caramel mood you're in, you can get the inside of your cup drizzled with caramel. I feel it really adds to the taste of the drink, but sometimes when I'm feeling more on the plain side, I'll just get caramel drizzled on top of the drink.

2.) Yummy Fruity Iced Tea!
This is actually something a guy at the mall I work in came up with one time when they ran out of youthberry tea for some seasonal drink they had going on last year (I honestly forget).
  • Start with a Passionfruit Iced Tea
  • I asked for mine to be sweetened because I love sweet tea.
  • Add in Lemonade
  • And then lime refresher
This drink is always refreshing to me and if I'm running around doing errands or on a shopping spree when I don't need coffee, this is honestly my go-to drink from them.

3.) Monster Frappe (I think that's what its name was)
A girl at the Starbucks in the mall shared with me its recipe when I got hooked on the green drink they had out for one Halloween. I feel a bit better about drinking it since it's a green tea frappe base. Best part? I don't ever taste the green tea part. It always takes like a sweet mint drink to me.
  • Start with a green tea frappe
  • White Mocha pumps (1 for tall, 2 for grande, and 3 for venti - I use this concept for everything, just for future reference)
  • Peppermint pumps
Sometimes if I'm feeling extra, I'll ask for them to sprinkle on chocolate.

4.) Creamy Caramel Latte Breve
This is my current go-to drink for when it's cold outside. I'm a fan of my coffee being creamy more than sweet. Guess that makes me weird.
  • Start with a caramel latte
  • Ask for them to use Half & Half instead of Whole Milk (it makes it more creamier than bitter, which is why I like to ask for it)
Since I like to drink my coffee right away, I'll usually ask for them to make it child's temperature if I remember to. (Half the time, I forget.)

5.) Coco Puffs Frappe
This is something I only get when I have extra money, need some drink therapy, or just want to treat myself as it is a bit of a pricey (so is Butterbeer but...), really sweet drink. Tastes exactly like Coco Puffs, and I use the direct recipe off of the secret menu.
  • Start with a Vanilla Bean Frappe
  • Hazelnut pumps
  • Mocha pumps

Not a fan of their coffee (actually hate it), but I do like the green tea latte without sweetner.

Right now, I can't afford to make coffee for myself at home, much less pay for Starbucks!
If I could afford Starbucks, I still wouldn't buy it though...I'm not a picky coffee drinker but I really don't like the taste of Starbucks coffee.

I work at a reserve store and we sell select coffees from around nth world. I can't wait till we get the Vietnam De lat in this fall. They're all great to do coffee tastings with although the amount of time it takes to make each drink is a hassle. The clover machine makes a much better cup though so even pike is not so bad.

I can't drink coffee in general. It gives me the sweats and anxiety.
Not good for my system.

Can't drink anything with other peoples milk. I can't really eat or drink outside food.
Usually messes me up. That's why i make food at home and i'm just fine.
Outside food is bad for me.
