I don't think a country's history says *that* much about the people living there, though...

Every country has SOME bad history in it. There's just no escaping it.
But that doesn't mean that the country itself isn't nice, or that the people there aren't worth seeing. :)

I want to visit Egypt someday, even though they have horrible leaders, have a history in blood and are also not a "free" country, but I want to visit because I love different cultures and I love the wonder of going to a new country and visiting people that I would love to meet. :D

I can't think of any countries that are perfect...

And I get you on that. Not every country is perfect. We've had a terrible history and we got through it, but we're far from healed. There's still racial tensions and poverty and the government has its own share of corrupt politicians, but we've still got warm, welcoming people who don't agree with all the crap that goes on

Do you have a quest right? And I want to hear how could you collect?
