I've heard that rabbits can live up to 9-12 years.
Beans got very sick one day, I don't know what happened because she was fine that morning, she was eating hay and chilling out... but towards the end of the day, she rapidly got worse.

i'm so sorry you and beans had to experience that Ava

I just hope that Beans isn't in pain anymore, and if she got reincarnated that i will see her again someday...

Hm that's heartbreaking. I'm thinking it may have been a developed sickness, rabbits are pros at pretending they're fine and sometimes show very little signs that they're unwell but you say she was eating fine. Was she drinking regularly too? Sudden death is strange, only happens in cases of Myxo and RHD. Was she fixed? Females are at an increased risk of developing cancer of the uterus.

Again, I'm deeply sorry :( it is odd for a healthy rabbit to suddenly deteriorate and pass away. I'm sure she is in a hoppy place right now munching on carrots and fresh grass <3

It is heartbreaking. And Ava was really and is still really sad and I'm sad for her and beans

I lived with multiple rabbits for two whole years. Luckily none of them died, although that's when I learned about dropsy and other tragic ways that lead to pretty rapid rabbit deterioration/death. My roommate for those two years was the rabbit owner and knowledgeable one, and told me that rabbit health in general is super fragile - simply for the fact that unlike many species there's only one way out, and that's pooping; humans, by contrast, can puke if something's wrong. Rabbits can't, so once something's bad they're pretty much screwed (and a warning sign is their rapid decrease in hay consumption). So odd, but so necessary to know!
