I figured out why I couldn't get my laptop to work

Why? What was wrong with it?

my clock and date was off and it wouldn't work for me.

Your laptop wouldn't work because the date was off? That sounds rather drastic for a computer to do o_O

all I had to do was set the clock and date properly
with the internets I think it might be the tree blowing into the wires

Oh, the latter would be harder to fix.

very much so. I would fall off of the roof or electrocute myself...
the clock and date kept resetting to the wrong time and date
it was very frustrating and then when it worked it kept
'searching' for the network and I realized it was windy
so I am thinking that is what was the problem.
like I could typed a response and then nothing.

Is there a way to fix it without risk to yourself?

I can call the cable company and see about making an appointment
but for the time being I will just live with it and growls at the windy days

I hope they'll be able to clear away the problems soon! Not being able to use the computer because of Internet problems sucks.
