I'm always surprised by how long your hair is!

I don't think I could handle long hair like that; I barely take care of it now as it is.

But I usually just wrap it up into a bun, which keeps it out of my way. :yes:

After I start pulling my hair up into a bun all the time, I know it's time to cut it.

It has always been my opinion that long hair is a sort of social blanket for an individual, but the only time I'd suggest cutting hair is if you're traveling to a sweltering country, or if the ends are split.

There was this one woman who would come into the coffee shop almost every day; she had such great outfits and a wonderful sense of style. And she was very sweet, too. But her hair, as long and groomed as it was, had heinous split ends that just took away from the effect.

And yeah, its going to be hard to have long hair during the summer. @[email protected];; It gets so hot here.

Yeah, I want to get my hair trimmed again because the ends are getting a bit split again. I have naturally very dry hair, so it doesn't take much to make it get split ends. Also, it tangles constantly, so having to brush out tangles so often isn't very easy on it.

Hair is very much a social blanket. It's something you can hide your face behind, it covers you and if you have a cut that is deemed "appropriate" by society, it is a way to appear normal and not stand out. Try buzzing all your hair off, and you'll definitely see what I mean. :lol:

I dont ever have my hair down in a way that it is hiding my face, so i'd say its not a social blanket at all. In fact, it makes me stand out more because its not as common. Its not some typical hair style or straightened like a lot of peoples.

I know its time to get a haircut when I cant turn mine into spikes anymore...at least not ones that stay up all day long. I tend to slick it back after that starts to happen.

I do have a more recent picture of myself...but its on my phone, and Im too lazy right now to pull it off there, since Ive only been home from work for 15minutes, and I need to leave again for work in about 8hours.
