Animals like to do that. I know in Maine Rod and Linda's dogs always have laid in front of their wood stove. (which heats most of the house) Their fur always ends up getting very very hot and I used to think they would catch fire when I was little. (that's how close they would lay)

I would be much too frightened for my baybeh kitteh to sit close to anything that hot.

I would snatch him up and cuddle him in a bundle of blankets and hold him close to my heart.
