It's barely warm enough here in the summer to go swimmin the the ocean, but in the lakes it's OK. In the winter, forget it.

Heh, well I suppose I can't say much about it because well I've never been swimming in an ocean yet. It's on my to do list before I die though. I love swimming and I always go swimming in lakes or man made lakes. People think I'm nuts for going swimming much sooner than anyone would want to after the spring thaw but I find it nice and refreshing.

It is refreshing. ^_^
And I remember when I first saw clear water, like the time in Canada...the lakes, I forget the names, but they had clear water! Even at night, so I felt a little better being able to see where my body was. And boy, did I radiate!

I've never seen the Great Lakes but I heard just looking at them to be wonderful. I live in Canada but not in Ontario so it's more than a short drive for me. But I must say the lakes are actually cold I just get used to the temperature quickly because once I get my head wet the water feels body temperature.

Yeah, it just takes a little dip and adjusting to enjoy it after a few moments. After you get the courage to dip in your head and accept the shock, you're good to go. I don't like the weeds much, my imagination goes wild when they touch me feet.
I always end up looking like some baby in the water because I curl up and just use my arms, so I'm bobbing across the water like a weeny.

Ooh, yeah. The silt is good for your skin, but I don't go at all. I used to in the summer when I was younger with my parents, so they could keep watch in case I got stuck in the mud.
The great thing is, splashing water up on the flats, and then slipping across on your belly. ^_^

There is a place close to my city where they have a campground by the lake and mud flats all around, we go there sometimes for christmas. We dive off the bridge into the water and have mud fights, it's so much fun XD

*shivers* I'm like you crane I dislike weeds a lot ... I hate when they wrap around your legs making it feel like they're trying to drag you down.... I'm not scared of drowning or anything it's just feels like fingers grasping onto my ankles...

Yeah...I just don't like what's hiding in the weeds. Now that right there...the way they all sway one way together, then the other...Damnit, that's scary.
I'm such a weeny, tee hee.
Yeah? We have a few lakes with docks to jump off of. It's alright, but leeches are somewhat of a problem...

Yeah.. I've only known one place around me that has leeches and now we can't really swim there at all I beleive because of the e coli count... and I never went there often anyways but I remember one time that we did we went looking for leeches and we had dug this small pit, filled it with water and placed the leeches in there.. they're interesting to watch.

They're really odd. They can stretch out to a really great length, which I didn't know. And they have an antiseptic bite, which makes sense, since you can't feel them and they don't leave any real bad infections. None at all, if I'm correct.

Lol they're cool to watch and it's true that you get no infections after they bite and it's good that you don't feel them otherwise when bit I would have freaked out... especially if I was in the water... I have a thing with anything biting me sorta... well anything insect like... I've been bitten by dogs, cats, horse.. that hurts slightly, boyfriend... lol.

Flink is ignoring this conversation, it'll make her paranoid about something, she knows it.
Last time she heard 'parasite' her phobia of bed bugs returned. >.<

I've been bitten by a dog. And I don't regret saying this, but I'm glad that little bastard of a neighbor's pet died.
Oops, got to go.
