I watched "Random Acts of Violence". Despite being cheaply made, it's got a lot of good lines and reasonings. 4/5

We watched "Walking With Dinosaurs" last night...the kids loved it, but I was bored out of my mind. I'm glad it didn't go all "Land Before Time" with the animation and lip moving for talking...but they still talked. I wasn't feeling it.
2/5. and it only gets the 2 because the kids enjoyed it. xD

Noah. I can see why Christians don't seem to like it at all but putting that aside, it was interesting. The acting was A+ imo and I enjoyed seeing them all together on the big screen. It was visually stunning (way to go Iceland!) but...

SPOILERX

in the end, Ham left the family so I would've liked to know what happened to him, how he survived on his own, etc. Poor guy.

The Grand Budapest Hotel was amazing. I dragged a friend who've never watched an Andersen movie with me to the cinemas to watch it when it was first released here. We enjoyed it thoroughly, although she said the whole movie was surreal.

I saw Winter Soldier. It was pretty good, but I noticed that Captain America wore the same shade of lipstick as Black Widow. It was kinda odd, but the that's what stuck with me through most of the film.

I think I'd give the film a four out of five, but I didn't really take it too seriously. I'm not really good at keeping my brain engaged while watching a movie or show. Not unless it is something that really captivates me. Even then, I need to see it a few more times to give any messages the film show, other than things that are super obvious.

But yeah, four out of five, would see again

I watched Blades of Glory. O.o
Gods...I don't know why I watched that, but the idea behind it was interesting. I don't like movies like that though. It was so retarded and ridiculous, but I think I'd still overall rate it a 6 out of 10. I did watch through the whole thing after all.

I watched Heaven Is For Real. I would give it a 10/10. The little boy was absolutely adorable and the story was so inspiring. I walked out of the theater feeling good.

I saw "Ender's Game" with my family when I was visiting. If you have read the book I'd give it a 6/10 for trying and being almost there. If you haven't read the book it's a solid 8/10, great action sci-fi movie, but it wouldn't make too much sense not knowing what everything going on is, but it hold well on its own.

I saw "This is The End" yesterday, which was pretty good. I felt like it was kinda cheesy at times, but overall it was watchable. (I wouldn't want to watch it again, though.) Then again, what do you expect when you've got Seth Rogen as the director?

The last movie I saw was Justice League War and I thought it was delightful garbage.
They token foreigner'd Wonderwoman, made a 'Captain Daddy Issues' out of Cyborg, and tried way too hard to make Superman 'cool'. The animation was wonderful, but I found the writing fell very flat, very fast.

Today I watched "A Patch of Blue", made in the 1960's and about a blind white girl who falls in love with a black guy. The dialogue, the performances and the filming were all really nice. It's an older film but it doesn't have as much of a dated feel. It's definitely one to watch if you're interested in social issues and/or old, black-and-white films.
I hardly ever watch movies but we have cable while on vacation and I've had TCM on all the time lol

edit: forgot to rate haha, I'll give it a 4.5/5

Transformers: Age of Extinction. I'd give it a 3/5, maybe a high 2.8/5. It was more of Bay's standard spiel, but there were a few points that actually stood out decently, which made it at least mildly enjoyable of a watch. Don't go in expecting a masterpiece, or characters you know and love, because it doesn't really have any of that. But the transformers get more spotlight, and it doesn't have that annoying kid who played Sam. Which is a win in my book.

Thor: The Dark World. 9/10 or 4.5 stars

I am a fangirl. Of Lady SIF someone give Jaimie Alexander her own movie. I'm serious. But since this isnt that movie and I'll take what I can get: this is my favorite Marvel Movie. I laugh my self silly everytime I watch. Especially when Loki and Thor have that little... walk... in the hall.

But my favorite part is when Loki lands the spaceship/boat with a thump, bounce and says ta-da!

Salo, or 120 Days of Sodom
I don't even know why I watched it, maybe out of curiosity of the exceedingly grim nature of it, the fact that it's banned in some countries, and a fascination with cinema from the 1970's. Every movie I've seen made in the 70's has a sense of doom looming over all of it, even if it's a comedy or whatever.
It's a sick, soul-crushing movie. It deals with fucked-up people imprisoning a bunch of kids (they're much younger in the book than they are in the film) and subjecting them to a bunch of fucked-up, dehumanizing shit. The finale was one of the most unsettling things I've ever seen.
There are many ways one could interpret it. It could be seen as a profound social commentary. It could be seen as a pointless smutfest.

If I have to rate this, 3/5, I think it achieved what it was intended to. The acting could have been a little better. I'll keep it in the middle so it can be rounded up or down.

An Education: 9/10
I had been meaning to watch this film for ages and my roommate just so happened to own it so we had a movie night. Carey Mulligan was wonderful.

David Finchers Gone Girl.

Rate it a 10/10 if you love Fincher.

The last movie I watched was Byzantium. I'd honestly say it's one of my favorite movies and I'd give it a tentative, almost certain 5/5. The cinematography is gorgeous, it's a vampire story that's about a mother/daughter relationship I mean come on how often do you see that, and the acting in it is absolutely wonderful.

The last movie I watched was the last movie in a mini-horror/scary movie marathon my fiancé and I had on Halloween night. We watched three movies that night: Lords of Salem (Decent movie), Sinister ( was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie) and the last movie we watched was Evil Dead. Now I know this is a forum that I should watch my language in but.. That was the most F-ed up movie I had seen in a long time. The gore started from the very beginning and didn't stop at all until the credits rolled. Now that being said, I do have to admit the story was pretty good. My fiancé and I get into intellectual discussions about movies when we watch them lol. Right before we watched Evil Dead, we were talking about how we like it when a movie doesn't rely on gore to be scary (After Sinister. It wasn't really scary but did keep us guessing throughout. It was nice.) I noticed that a lot of movies now a days rely more on gore than having a decent plot. Evil Dead was not one of these movies for us. While this movie is very heavy on the gore, it is one of those movies where the gore is part of it. It is not senseless gore and violence, but it adds to the movie. Over all, while I will never watch this movie again, I would highly recommend it for anyone wanting a good gore flick that isn't lacking in a story :3
