The costume for Hoggle is now housed at The Unclaimed Baggage store in Scottsboro, AL. I know. I've been there, and let me tell you, I would buy it if they would sell it.
I saw the Labyrinth multiple times when I was still a little child, because both of my parents were really big David Bowie fans. I found it fascinating, but was also scared from it, because it was so strange and I was still little.
I think I haven't watched it for about twenty years, I would really like to watch it again now. Sadly I can't remember much of it anymore.
I love that movie.
I rewatched it for the first time since childhood at my 15th birthday party. We were all commenting on how it is so not a PG movie cause Bowie's in spandex, and well, you know. As we are all ...distracted. My dad walks in from riding his bike in spandex riding short with the biggest muffin top you will ever see. I died. My friends all laughed and were all slightly scarred for life. D:
Also, did Sarah COMPLETELY annoy anyone else? Omg. I can't stand her.
By the way, Lilithia. The avie art in your sig is AMAZING! Did you do that? Where did you get it done?

I had two dreams last night. Both of them had Jareth in them.
In the first one, I think Jareth tricked me into wishing myself away for some reason. Only it wasn't to the Labyrinth, it was some other place. It was like... a boarding school, or something? I can't remember.
I can't remember much of the second one, either, except that I was in some cheap dollar-store for some reason. And Jareth had a servant, and she was very meek and everything and we were friends.
Yeah. They both had Jareth, and that's all I can remember?! LAME. Stupid dream fairy, I want my five bucks back (except I didn't pay anything to dream about Jareth in the first place... although I totally would if I could).
This movie was an all time favorite but sometimes I wonder if it was because David Bowie starred in it which brought a bunch of trendy pop culture fans to see it, or if people really feel this is a great fantasy story.
I personally liked it, but then again I too like David Bowie and his music.
My favorite childhood movie! I FINALLY got it on dvd this summer at a yard sale! I use to have a big crush on Jereth...David Bowie's voice is so sexy....
Love this movie! It is my absolute favorite! :) I've always admired Jim Henson and love anything he was ever a part of.
I think I must've first seen this movie in the threater when I wa five. No joke becuase my dad confirms this. I was pretty young but I do sort of remember sitting in the theater and watching it. AWESOME MOVIE! Ludo and Sir Didyamous ar my favorite character's of the whole movie :)

Oh my gosh! Me too! Hee hee I was lucky enough to see it in the theater. I think that is one of the reasons why it is my favourite movie :)
The manga's okay storywise, and the art makes me mad because I think they could've gotten a better artist. But that's just my opinion. I do like it overall, just because it's like a continuation and everything. And the idea of ablutions is interesting. 8D
Labyrinth is one of my favorite movies! c:
I started reading some of the manga last month, it was really cool, but I agree they could have got a better artist.
The front cover is very misleading about the art D:
I love this movie!
I own it and the three mangas that are currently out.
I can't wait until the fourth and final one comes out!
I wish the art was a tad better, but it's pretty good anyway.
And since it's Labyrinth, well, I love it <33
I have loved Labyrinth for YEARS. I used to own three copies of it. XD One VHS I taped off of the TV, one VHS I bought and one DVD.
I have a Jareth Doll, about 12" high I think, that I bought from Hot Topic. I couldn't believe they had it!!! I really can't bring myself to take him out of the box, even though you can put a crystal ball in his hand and it plays music, lol.
I have a huge ass movie poster as well, but haven't been able to hang it up yet.
All my friends know about my obsession with Labyrinth. XD They won't watch it with me because I can quote the entire movie by heart.
And psssst, David Bowie doesn't stuff. I accidentally ran into a site that was called "David Bowie's Area", and realized soon after what area they meant. Different shots from different years. All the same size. And yes, going to that site WAS accidental, thankuverymuch! :p
I used to have a Gaia account. It's still there, but I never use it. If I'm not mistaken my avatar is still cosplaying as Jareth. XD You should be able to find me under Lauryn de Vampyre there too. I think.
A couple of years ago one of my friends called me to say he found out one of his local theaters was having a midnight showing of Labyrinth on the big screen! There was some trivia questions before the movie started and I actually won a David Bowie poster! XD Seeing Labyrinth on the big screen and sharing the experience with a theater full of people was truly amazing.
Bowie is always awesome. I can't remember the exact quote, but when working with Bowie on the set of The Prestige, someone (I want to say Hugh Jackman?) said something like:
Quote:
"Bowie's got more charisma in his pinky finger than the rest of us have in our whole bodies.
Definitely shows in Labyrinth. You know what else shows, though? MASSIVE CROTCH PRESENCE. O_o
I never knew about this film until my friend saw it in Wal-Mart one summer and bought it. That night we watched it and I couldn't stop laughing at it. It was just so old and cheesy!
David Bowie looked fricken' ridiculous and the acting was awful! XD I guess it was one of those movie that are 'so stupid they're good'.
I loved that movie growing up. I grew up with it and it was honestly the best movie ever made in the 80s and David Bowie was incredible in that movie as well. The music rocked.
It's been forever since I have last seen this movie and I really need to watch it again just for old time sake if anything else at all you know>?? This movie is definitely a classic and one for all to love for many years to come!!
THANK YOU TO THE WONDERFUL PERSON WHO MADE THIS THREAD, IT MADE MY DAY!!! xD
My friend and I actually made a video about Bowie's bulge, and it is something missed as a child because as a child you'd be more interested in the goblins and faeries rather than something [that is now QUITE noticable] inside the Goblin King's pants.
I own the movie, a poster from the movie, and the soundtrack, and I can pretty much quote it from front to back. Yeah, I'm a nerd.
For those of you who haven't seen The Dark Crystal and MirrorMask, I suggest seeing those too. Dark Crystal is actually based off of a book and is more so like Labyrinth, especially since it's made in the 80s, and MirrorMask is more off a self-realization film, but the effects and acting is just incredible.
Also a little fun fact: the creature designer, Brian Froud, wrote the Good Faeries/Bad Faeries book and Lady Cottington's Pressed Faerie Book.
