sorry but i want to rant a little about this manga
i just finished reading the most recent volume 18, and its gotten me very frustrated inside about where the story is going. i wish someone would discuss it with me if possible. no spoilers not really, since its confusing. the way she's writing this manga is incredibly difficult to understand since she keeps switching from the future and the past in between chapters. i really want to know straight out what happens to nana mostly, since i can guess hachi's life is with takumi and stuff. BUT, its a mystery surrounding what happens to nana and i don't like how it makes it seems shes dead and then no, shes found again by the stupid reporters. i really want to discuss what happened to nana and i have a bunch of ideas, such as she ran away after splitting the band i think. and the relationship between her and ren is complicated because he seems to be giving up on nana, and is with reira more. nana is so beautiful and in 18 it seems like she changed her appearance and everything. i really wish vol19 would come out soon or the entire story be clarified because i'm so left unsatisfied by the story. everyone seems so unhappy and depressed, nana's not even in the story right now. all the relationship between blast and trapnest are so intense. i wish everything would just work out and not have to keep going into more deeper problems, which is what is happening in my point of view. such a good series, but i really love nana and i want to know what happens to her.

HOOOOOMMEEEEGGGEEEEE
I'm in love with this series. I got the first manga at a christmas party two years ago and I've been an addict since.
I. Love. Shin.
He's so adorable xD
I can relate to both Nanas. Only unlike Hachi, I'm far FFAAAARR less slutty XD No offense to Hachi fans, but she does basically everyone on the show except for maybe Ren. I dunno, I haven't gotten that far.
Nana O. is so funny XD Especially when around Hachi.
I think the only guy in this show that hasn't pissed me off...well, there's two. Yasu and Junkos boyfriend.
I can't get the movies on netflix, sadly. Agh, even Death Note is sorta on there. >o<; Why no Nana?
But I read them as they come out, I have no time for reading it online. i'm already watching like four series, going to like seven sites, running one, dealing with my deviantart, etc and crap.
So it's gonna be a LOOONG long time before I finish it. But it's worth the wait.

I enjyed watching anime. Now I think that I should find somewhere manga as well. I like the plot, and the fact, that the story is pretty realistic. The art is pretty awesome too.
The only thing annoyed me was that I could never figuire out who was my favorite char. >.<

Nana is amazing. ;=; I haven't read it since it ended
in Shojo Beat and I've never watched the anime yet, but
I have seen both movies. And they were awesome.
I wonder if the manga will end that way?
I, too, am a Shin fan.
Kanata Hongo is the most adorable actor. He's so sweet. :/

I LOVE NANA! Got my screen name from it. XP I love the "rocker" NANA. She is awesome. Even have the manga right beside me XD. I have seen the Live-action Movies. I hope there will a 3rd movie! I haven't watch the anime. Not big on anime, but I might give it a try again. I only have vol. 1-5 at the moment. Hard to get them...T_T

I really don't know too many people who like hatchi over nana. Also I am waiting for the release after they finished the series in the shojo beat manga, for that is where I have stopped, and would love to read more.
Like most people I like Shin a bit, but i think if I was in there world i would be falling for long haired bishi, even if he does do girls.

Nana is one of the manga on my list of ongoing series that, if I run across the next volume in a shop, I have to buy reguardless of the plan or the budget. It's incredibly depressing and I couldn't finish the anime for that reason but I can deal with the depressing more in the manga as I can dip into and out of it, if it gets really bad I can stop for a short while then come back to it again where I left of XD

I like Nana- but it took a long time for me to get into it. Now that I am into it, I really want to find out what happens next. And we all have to wait at least another month before we do. :(. What I don't understand is why you believe that all shoujo manga involves magic, though- most don't. At least ninety percent of shoujo manga involves school life, or another form of real life. Only a small percent of it involves magic. I do have to agree with you that the protagonists being over 18 is a breath of fresh air. Their age allows the manga to end properly, with the characters starting a family, or doing whatever it is they wish to do with their lives, for once, unlike over ninety eight percent of shoujo manga. Most of them just end with the characters starting to date- which I LOATHE. :(. They leave things far too open ended. :(. But Nana likely won't end this way because of the ages. And besides that, from what I've seen, Ai Yazawa doesn't end her manga in that manner. Fortunately. :)

I love Shin from Nana; then again, I love anything from Ai Yazawa. xD
Eh. I actually don't like those magic-shojou-mangas as much as I do Yazawa's; I think it's because Yazawa's can actually happen to you in real life, so...you connect with it more. Or something.
Fundamentally, Ai Yazawa =

Ai Yazawa=FTW!
It's pretty much impossible not to cry in the series. It's just so painful. Isn't the series still going on? Wow, that's just crazy. xD. I would have never thought that Yazawa-sensie could ever make such a long series. *claps for her.*

I cried in Ai Yazawa's Paradise Kiss too.
I can't wait to see what happens after Nana.
(she'll probably retire for a while.)
I don't think she can make another great one after that.
*but I would love to see her do it.*

OMG Nana anime was sooo good to watch! I can't wait for the next part of it. I'm glad the manga continues past where the anime left off. I love the music that they sing in the anime too. I want to get all their songs.

My girl friend was trying to figure out what I want for christmas, and I had mentioned that I was reading Nana..and.. and.. she got me the DVD box set of the anime o_____o<3 <3 <3 <3
I didn't get it until a few weeks ago, and I'm so busy with school so I've only watched the first 28 episodes...
It's my absolute favorite anime/manga.. but the closer I get to the end of the DVDs, the less I want to keep going. Because... I don't want it to end. ..and, and Hachi keeps saying such things at the end of the episodes, that, that I'm scared of how it will end! >.<;;;; *pets the DVD* Episode 50, please stay away, I don't want to see you... @[email protected];;;;
The version I have was packaged for sale in malaysia..and it has Chinese and English subtitles. Not knowing enough Japanese, I turned on the English subtitles..
....OMG! XD "That one guy!" instead of like "dude!" and then, I hear Nana say 'Yasu' but the text says 'Takigi'. XD I yelled at it the first time it said that. now I just read 'takigi' as 'yasu' XD and I correct the text in my head.. XD
and they totally lost the lotus pun XD I can hear her saying 'ren' and whatever the other name for a lilly is but it says 'water lilly' and 'water lilly' in the subtitles.
But the music kills me, and I love the story and so, even bad subtitles make me happy <3

My favourite thing about NANA is how much you can relate to it. Yazawa does a great job of capturing the character's feelings in a way that her readers can relate to them. The water colour backgrounds are amazing and I love looking for them in each chapter.
I really want to see the movie so bad I can't see straight! NANA is one of those mangas that you can make a movie out of and it probably not suck!

I think so... it says 'Soundtrack + Vol 1-26' on my first DVD case and 'Vol 27-50 End' on the second.
But I don't very much trust the english; it's possible that this is the end of a certain season or block of seasons...
I would venture to guess that it's the whole series though...

Ah. It makes sense if it has ended, though--the anime generally ends well before the manga does in series like these. D:

I've only read up to volume 3 of the manga, but I'm enjoying it. The drawing style is certainly different from what I'm used to but in a good way.

I love Nana!
its the greatest anime I've seen and the best long manga I've read. I've seen all of the anime, the first movie and I've been keeping up with the manga as it comes out, I wish it could get scanlated faster... I can't wait for chapter 74 to come out.
