Because I just used the first one I saw that didn't bitch at me for hotlinking... ;__;
I will eventually not be so lazy and just upload a more decent banner into tinypic n everything.
I would like to see the Christmas special, but I'll probably have to see it streamed or download it myself. I actually never minded Smith's physical body condition. He's the "raggedy doctor" with a quirky attitude and I find it kind of humorous. There's also something to Smith's looks...I don't know what it is. When I saw a picture of him for the first time, I thought he was butt-ugly. In time, I started to think otherwise. He has an interesting and different kind of charm. That's just me, though.

Oh you know your fun fact bit, you might wanna throw in that it's called regeneration. : )
:O Isn't he called the raggedy doctor? Like thats what amy calls him. I think that he's not all that raggedy. Then again that was what amy used to describe him when he was still in tennants ripped up clothing.
I watched the final episode of tennants series again. ;_; so sad.
Although probably my favourite episode or at least one of my favourites is 'the parting of the ways' < the last one of ecclestone's where rose abosrbs the heart of the tardis - the musical score in the moment he kisses her is just beautiful.
I also love the second one in the series with the gelth. Really sad.
I mean, don't get me wrong, I don;t think matt smith, is the worst doctor ever (there's been worse) but he hasn't really 'found' himself yet. And also he's been let down by some bad scripts and crappy monsters. (And the cannibalisation of the tardis) Thats why i'm prepared to give him one more series to prove himself to me. xD
ping me again when you reply!

Will do.
Yeah, that's what Amy called him.
I agree on the final episode of series 1. It had great music, Rose went into epic mode, and she even got a kiss from the good Doctor. Even though I never did like buzz cuts, I saw something interestingly attractive about Eccleston's version of the Doc. Not only did his wardrobe give off a more "badass" look to him, but his accent as well as that smile of his steals my heart. /dramatic voice
I can't even say or read the word "fantastic" normally anymore without hearing or reading it in his voice. xD Not to mention, he's got moves awwwyeah.

Yeah, I agree with you about there being something appealing about the Dr. (eccleston) there's just sometihng appealing about him you just can't put your finger on. And I think it's key for making it believable why rose fell in love with him - because otherwise it would seem strange because she's 19 and he *looks* loads older. It's been like that before (in the classic series) where characters have loved him and it just hasn't worked because they just haven't got that rappore. I love the fact that Captain Jack also loves the Dr. :'D Gayness! Grreeeaaattttt. : ) Even though jack is totally pansexual. :'D
Agreed on the fantastic! : )

Oh I know right? I was completely caught off guard when I saw Captain Jack full-on smooch the Doc, but I just figured he was just THAT happy. xD It IS silly that even the Doc's previous time travel companions would fall for him in his older forms, but the Doctor is such a lovable guy.

Demoscout: Nope, jack just loves the dr, in the 3rd series, a character called martha likes the doctor and jack looks at her and says 'you too huh'
Jack will fall for anything and everything, he's had several wives and is/was currently with Ianto Jones (hothothot) in torchwood.
I have to say one of my favourite series of dr who is the 4th one with donna, the episodes are really good and the two work together soooooo well!

As I'm sure you've figured out by now, Demo, I like Doctor Who quite a bit.
Can I assume that Eccleston's Doctor is your favorite? David Tennant's is mine, but I really like Matt Smith too. I know what you mean about him looking a little unusual... I call him "fondant face." Because... because it looks like his face is made of fondant.

lol I have no idea what fondant is. xD
Until I have seen everything, I'm going to say that Eccleston IS my favorite Doctor. The first Doctor was greatness and I've been itching to see Tom Baker's performance (although really I just want to see all of the doctors). I thought that Smith made a lovable doctor, but until I see anything new, the 9th doctor is my fav. It's not just his appearance, but the way he delivers his rendition of the Doctor. At first it's like...he can be goofy, but he could also be serious and have this kind of bad-boy feel to him, especially when he throws a bit of sarcasm out there. Come to think of it, a part of me wants to re-watch the first series now. :P

Fondant is this semi-thick edible sheet that's usually used for cake decorations. It gives the cake a very smooth, rounded, matted look. Examples. Matt Smith's face just kind of looks like it's made of fondant to me. How oddly smooth and rounded all his features are.
I found Eccleston's Doctor to be rather moody and angry... Still very scarred by the Time War.

Plus Amelia is SUPER hot!!! Gotta love the Scottish Ginger. That accent man, wow! *Shifty eyes* Yes...I'm a girl...Aaaaaaannnnyway, Cherry I love your picture! That was one of my favorite episodes. So, as of last week the new season of Dr. Who is out!
What do you all think of it? For that matter, what did you think of last season?
Personally, I wasn't that keen on last season. The season finale especially had me going "wait.. what?"
I was also disappointed by most of the monsters, though I was keen on the new (very colourful) daleks! :D
And what about Matt Smith? Cute? Kind of annoying? Totally Amy's bitch forever? ;)
Though I think people might be getting a little sick of that question, it does give everyone an opportunity to rant!
Actually whilst on the subject of Doctors, who was your favourite?
I think Tom Baker will forever be in my top 3 (with Tennant and Eccleston being the other two)!
*Edit* After seeing the latest episode (If you've seen it) what are your speculations? That episode left a hell of a lot of questions! Really good questions too, such as: What the hell's up with Amy? Who is River really?! (Though it's at least partially clear who she was to the doctor now.)

I haven't gotten to watch the new season, and I haven't gotten to finish the fifth season (I'm putting it off until I finish re-watching the whole new series. I'm in season three right now) though I saw the first I think three episodes when I was living in Winnipeg. My fiancee keeps me updated, sort of, since she likes to rant to me any time she runs into a "wtf??" moment.
Matt Smith is cute, I think. I'm reserving final judgement until I get to watch more episodes.
I haven't gotten to watch the old series, yet, so I don't have any opinion on the first eight Doctors. Right now Tennant is my favourite, and Smith managed to sneak into second despite relatively few episdes. That one surprised me, since Eccleston was my first Doctor and there will of course always be that strong nostalgic fondness.

Yeah, I feel the same about Eccleston since he was also my first Doctor. He was a very good one though and his series had some wonderful episodes and introduced some funky characters (Captain Jack for example! ;) )
I think most who had Eccleston as their first Doctor would agree with that too. :D
Ten is probably my top favourite Doctor too, he was a fabulous actor and he was given wonderful scripts to work with too! I think we also managed to get a lot more out of the series when Ten was acting because they went on for such a long time, so we managed to find out more about all the characters and see them develop as they were put through each new episode.
What I also like about Ten's series is the re-arrival of the Master. I adore the master, I think the season finales with the Master were brilliant, they were so much darker or at least far more twisted.

I've only watched episode 1 of the new season. So many questions! I also feel like I'm missing out on a lot, and need to re-watch the past seasons.
I agree with you though, David Tennant/10 is probably my favorite. After that comes 9. I'm not sure how I feel about Matt Smith/11. I will admit that he's a good actor, but there are some moments where I just think he doesn't show the kinds of emotions or vulnerability that 10 did. /shrug. River Song is a BAMF. I get a bit irked with Amy because she has Rory and I feel as though there are still these moments where she's like AHHHH DOCTOR TAKE ME in a subtle way.
Honestly, I think Rose Tyler will always be my most favorite companion, though I liked the others. I don't quite have opinions of the old seasons (Doctors 1-8) either, just because I haven't gotten around to watching it. I will eventually though.

Most of the questions that appear in the 1st episode of the new season only get answered (or will get answered) later on in the series.
I've also got so many questions I want answered! Though from the first episode in the new season, a lot of the questions are answered in the episode that follows. The second episode also covers a few unanswered questions from the previous series (such as stuff about the 'silence').
Ten was an amazing doctor who showed a lot of emotion in his character, but then the scripts that he was given were also rather dramatic at times.
Each of the doctors creates their own Doctor, each with a very separate personality. So it may be that 11 just doesn't have the same sense of vulnerability that Ten did, it's just not in his personality.
The latest episode kind of explains Amy's attitude towards the Doctor, so if you watch that one it'll make more sense and you (hopefully) won't end up feeling as sorry for Rory (I say that, but I can't help feeling a bit sorry for him myself. ; v ; )
I also love River, she's so bad ass. Latest episode made me cheer for her and feel sorry for her, but at least in this season we'll get to know all about her.
Though hopefully this season won't be the end of her character.
I know so many would disagree with me, but although I loved most of the companions.. I was really keen on Donna. I just loved the relationship she had with the Doctor, they were such mates! Ten even called her his best friend, and I think that was perfect for him and all he needed then: just a good mate! (It'd be a change from having all his companions falling for him!)

While Rose is by far my favourite, I adore Donna, and she's my second favourite. You sum it up perfectly; a good friend was just what was perfect for him. I didn't really care for Martha falling for him so soon.

I love the Weeping Angels. They combined elegance and scariness in a statue that was curious and harmless-looking, but also deadly. And I think that was why everyone loves them. Because you don't see them coming until they're in your face and snapping your neck. You're screwed.
I like River. She's so clever and conniving.

I have so many feelings about everything involving Rose and I can't get enough of the Daleks. Both Rose and the Daleks just don't know when to quit, you know? Just when you think you won't see them again, they're coming back for more. The whole thing is quite brilliant, really.

Everyone loves Doctor Who. Everyone. I do. My brother does. He even was Doctor who for Halloween. (He looked SOOO good.)
My brother also has a gay crush on Captain Jack Harkness, and I'm the gay one.
I don't know, I haven't actually been keeping up with it though, because I feel it gets really repetitive...
My favorite episode? Don't Blink, obiously.
