I'm in love with the Eleventh Doctor. He's insane as hell. I also love the Smilers and the Angels.
Is it me, or is there no way out of getting pwned by an Angel? Seriously.
You look at the Angel, you die.
Don't look at the Angel, you die.
I think it's pretty pointless to try and stay alive in that situation because either way, that Angel is going to kill your ass.

Ninth Doctor is totally my favorite. He doesn't get nearly enough love.
And my favorite episodes are definitely "The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances"

I love Doctor Who! My fiance and I are going to have a halloween/Doctor Who themed wedding in October. ^.^
My favorite pairing is Doctor 10 and Donna. My fiance looks really similar to David Tennant and they have really similar personalities and I'm the feisty redhead in our relationship. When we get together and then we watch Doctor Who with them We have to laugh because it's the British version of us!
I love most episodes of Doctor Who, the first episode of the new series, Rose is the episode I watched the most. When I introduce new people to Doctor Who I watch that episode or when I'm on the bus or on a plane or whatever I like how I know what's going on so I don't have to watch every moment when I play it on my ipod.
I think the silence and the Vash Nirada ( I know I butchered that) both creeped me out the most I think. I think my favorite one time episode character is Bonakafalata the little red guy from the Christmas Special with the Titanic. I have about a million different favorites with the show. xP

Thanks Biggs! I don't know if this thread will get any more traffic, but who knows. On the topic of Doctor Who I'm actually really behind with series 6, but at least I managed to get my boyfriend into the show. It made me happy to have another person IRL who likes the series as much as I do.

Ive worked every night that its showing on Space Channel. And I work most days, so I can't even catch up with re-run. One of these days, I will have all the Dr. Who on DVD, and watch them all...and God help ANYONE who interferes with my day of Who-ing it up!

I'm lucky that my bf and his roommates have netflix. We watch older eps on that. I doubt it stays updated with the most current episodes.

Aww well that's too bad. :C
I completely skipped over the 10th Doctor's series, so I'm slowly falling in love with it. I never thought that Tennant would be so great. I'd say he's tied with Eccleston for my favorite Doctor reincarnation right now.

Matt Smith was my first Doctor, and I have to say he is amazing! Though, Tennant is probably my favorite when it comes down to brass tacks. He's charming, witty, handsome, and that smile! Enough to make me giggle like a schoolgirl. Even so, the seasons with Smith have the edge because of Amy and Rory. Apart from maybe Jack, they are the best companions -- sweet, independent, funny, vulnerable, devoted -- and neither have the same abrasive qualities that some of Tennant's had. I could watch those seasons over and over just for them.

I don't think I could choose any one Doctor as my favorite. At least from the 9th up since those are the only ones I know. I've tried watching the older episodes but couldn't get into it. I will try again later - I think I was comparing it too much to the current ones.

I have seen some of the older episodes and I liked what I saw. However, those viewings were only via livestream. I need to find another place that streams the older episodes so that I can see them.

Because I didn't see a thread for it on the front page.
So, who's your favorite Doctor and companion(s)?
I like the tenth doctor and Donna the best, but I like eleven as well. But Amy and Rose annoy me.

To be totally honest, I loved Christopher Eccleston as the 9th Doctor, but I really liked Martha Jones as a companion, 'cos she had to save the world without the help of the Doctor, and she wasn't always relying on him. Plus, she was just so much of a spunk XD
Although I did like Mickey Smith, 'cos he was so brave when it came down to it, and because he was always there for Rose, despite her running off without him, and he took care of her mum. I mean, that's dedication right there!

I don't like Christopher Eccelston's that much. He just seemed a bit mean. Like, for example, he once called humans "stinking apes". Then his general demeanor...

I s'pose . . . but then, that was a part of his character. Also, he showed a lot more emotion than the other Doctors I think, 'cos he often displayed more than just happy or angry- like he had sadness as well, and he did care. I think he was kinda like a Mallow Puff with the hard outside and sticky inside.
And I don't think he really hated humans or anything, I mean, he rescued Rose from the mannequin thingies right? He could have just run off and left or whatever XD

I've only been watching the show since August (thank you Netflix), but I am totally and completely in love! I've enjoyed every Doctor so far in 'New Who', but Eccleston is definitely my favorite. I think it's the leather. Yummy.
Has anyone else heard the news? The next companion to accompany our 11th Doctor is this soap opera star, whose name has temporarily slipped my mind. She looks like she'll be a great addition to the show.
This show, by the way, is incredible. I started watching it as a recommendation from a fellow sci fi lover, and it's great in that aspect (isn't it the pioneer?), but the flawless way the writers weave in adventure, drama, romance, and tragedy just...ugh, I weep. This show is the pinnacle of television. I'm just sorry I live in America and didn't discover it sooner. Although it actually is starting to become more popular recently since it's addition to Netflix!
If anyone sees the TARDIS, please do let me know, okay? After your turn, of course. :)

Well good thing you found out about it! More Whovians is always good. In my city I actually saw a phone box and froze at first because I never thought I'd see an old style phone box in America. Call me ignorant, but I always thought that was a European thing. If only it were blue...it would be such a cool spot to hang out at.
