Wow, Jayms, you're a Doctor Who fan too? And not just a fan, but a Tom Baker fan.

Tom Baker has always been my favorite. I'm only 23, so I wasn't around for the old stuff, but my dad's been a huge fan forever and taped all the episodes. PBS used to air the old stuff in big, multi-hour chunks where they played an entire story arc, almost like a long made-for-television movie.

I'm throughly impressed with the new series. I still can't decided if I preferred Eccleston or Tennant. Tennant's good, but since I first saw him in the Harry Potter films, I can never get that out of my head. And the fact that the actress who played Moaning Myrtle came back in that one episode didn't exactly help break that connection.

I'm still upset about the failed series back in the 90's. What a waste of the Ninth Doctor.

I love Doctor Who! I've only seen the new series and a few episodes of the old series. I adore Davit Tennant and Christopher Eccleston's doctors, and from what I've seen I love Sylvester McCoy's doctor and Ace.

I can't wait for season 4, it's going to be awesome, although I'm not a huge fan of Donna, I love Rose...

Anyone watch Torchwood too? I love it, Captain Jack is such an amazing character, I can't wait until the next episode, except I'm going to be sad when it's over because it's the last episode in the season...

Oh, I am a rabid Whovian. Been watching Torchwood and the Sarah Jane Adventures and the whole nine yards. I've also been borrowing DVDs of the classic series from the guy who got me into it. I just watched the Shada flash animation on the BBC website last night and I loved it (of course, it was largely written by Douglas Adams, so who wouldn't love it?). It's really too bad we never got to see much of McGann's Doctor on screen.

Just five days until series 4!

Fires of Pompeii was fantastic! Talk about blowing the effects budget, though!

I wonder what the thing on Donna's back is, though...

Adipose- what a wondderful way to get rid of your excess fat.
And curse you folks in Great Britian who getto see this wonderful show before us poor sods in the US. (just kidding) But I am blessed the BBC america so all is good.

Okay now that I have gotten that insanity out of my system I am so glad I have found this Doctor Who post. It's answered all the rumors I've heard so far. (Releaved to hear the Doctor (the show) will go an a bit longer) Nesbitt as the Doctor. Must mull that one over.
I haven't seen the old doctor in so long I barely remember it. The things I do remember was the Master's cool Tardis, some of the cool (for the time?) effects and monster (where else can a thing called Dalek terrorize the universe with a toilet plunger?) and Tom Baker. He was good. But Eccleston and Tennet have done a lot to get me really interested again. Especially Tennet. There is just something fun and quirky yet there is a depth to him just under the surface.

And then there is Capt. Jack Harkness. God Bless Torchwood! I am really loving that series if only that I get to see Jack on a regular basis. But, I love how he and the Doctor interact. Especially now that he is immortal and that is so wrong as far as the Doctor is concerned. And has anyone else heard the rumor that Jack and the Face of Bo are one in the same? And the Sarah Jane Chronicles is looking really good too. Haven't seen enough to say one way or another.

Can't wait to see the final episode of Season three (the Master) and the christmas epsiode. Not sure how I feel about Catherine Tate. Guess I'll wait and see.

The Drums are getting louder. *can't wait* *drums fingers on table to sound of the drums*

Excellent! :-) I got season two and three as a christmas present. I have the best brother on the planet. :-) Only problem is resisting the urge to just watch season three on DVD instead of watching it on BBC america.

I wanna get through the extras on season two and haven't been able to. Have you?

Man, we gotta get your season 1 back to [email protected][email protected] and maybe get our own. I was debating not continuing when I found out they swapped doctors, but you're right, I'm kinda ok with the new one after seeing an episode, Bun.

oh I really want season 1 and 3 as well, but season 2 is just the ultimate

I haven't gotten through all the special features yet, I'm going through all the episodes first, but I have seen all the confidential episodes, good stuff :)

I think I definitely need to get season 1 next, I've had this sudden urge to watch Rose again, go back to the beginning, at least the beginning of the new series XD

the last few episodes of season 3 are definitely the best, everything before the family of blood double kinda sucked in comparison to the other series, martha was just a little annoying in my opinion, but Donna is turning out to be good in series 4, and I love rose

oh man I love this show XD

Since there were multiple 'originals', I'm kind of cool with the new one, though I was very disappointed when the doctor from the first season elected not to continue, especially after his mighty and lovely speech about Dr. Who being an iconic part of the culture. (which it is)
It just sort of got under my skin that he gave such an incredible speech...and then decided that Dr. Who wasn't important enough a role for him.

Dang I have to catch up though. <:/ *flail*

Actually, Eccleston was only ever signed for the one season. They actually offered Tennant the role first, and he said he wanted it, but had stage commitments. So Eccleston was only signed for a season and they took the opportunity to introduce new viewers to the concept of regeneration.
