Oohh! Sims 2 I just love the flexablity of the game! I still havn't figured out how to add in downloads but that is on my to do list.
I haven't been able to play at this time due to my previous modem 'burning' out and I am using an older modem so I am not sure if all my expantions will work. :?

I played the Sims 2 for ages. Have the expansions up to Pets before I got burnt out on it. Really only played to try to win the Legacy Challenge, but could never get past the third generation before I lost interest in them lol.
Has anyone else ever done the Legacy Challenge? Would you be interested to start it together and post updates and stuff in a thread? I'm itching to try it again ;)

I finally bought myself an expansion pack (Nightlife). I had sims2 for years, but I broke my first CD, and then a friend loaned me hers last week, so I could use her disk to install and play. I went and downloaded a crapload of stuff from Around The Sims after I donated. XD That made my day, until it crashed my game. I might just reinstall... it's been kinda buggy. :/

w00t I didn't know there was a subforum like this ^^
not until I posted a thread about this.. x)
oh well I'll just copy/paste some of it here :3
--
I myself love to create new characters, I don't really play with the already created ones (except for aliens, they're so much fun to do babies with xD).
I've made some that looks like me or some of my friends.. and also some weird looking ones Razz soo much fun.
Also I have three expansion packs: holiday, celebration time and sims pets ^^ I love all the cute puppies and kittens! They do need a lot of caring though.. >.>
I can play for a whole day if I have nothing better to do xD
by the way, what's a legacy challenge? :o
I haven't heard of it..

It's basically when you make your own character, don't use ANY cheats, and marry them off to so-called "townies," and have kids, for generations and generations. Blah blah blah, all the rules can be found on that site. xD<3
There are tons of different rules depending on your expansion packs and whatnot. x)

They're extremely fun. ^_^
Legacies, that is. Most people document theirs, and load stories onto the Exchange. They're very entertaining both to read AND to actually do. :P

Ahhhh, I've been obsessed with the Sims ever since I got my hands and started playing the original years ago, and now Sims2 just keeps feeding it. xD
I've made Sims of my boyfriend and I, and they ended up having twin boys, which got so hectic to take care of I hired a nanny for a night. xD And then, once they grew up, one of them moved and and got married, and they had twins as well! So I suppose it's a family trait now. xDD I'm deciding what I want to do with the other one at the moment. Can't decide whether to hurry up and get him married, or focus alot more on his career.
I also love downloading tons of mods, but most of them don't work on my computer so I onl have a few at the moment. Making houses and dressing them up is so much part of the fun. :3

Oooh I love sims 2. I'm rather obsessed with custom content. I've even started making my own and researching meshing and creating objects. x3 Right now I am working on creating a mangaka career. haha
But yeah, without Custom content I doubt I'd play the Sims 2. Things are just sooo ugly with default maxis crap. I'm not much a fan of the legacy challenge, since the sims 2 community of Livejournal is kind of overrun with legacy post after legacy post, no one really posts anything with a real storyline, which I find fun to read.
Some of my sims are sooo pretty, I wish they were real. *o* I've made a sim of myself, but I found it wayyy too creepy and never played her for longer than an hour. xP

I played it on my dad's computer, but now I have my own PC. Unfortunately it's Windows Vista and it won't work properly here. Besides, the game DVD we have here, for some weird reason, stopped working... Well, not that was an original DVD, but it worked the 1st time.

I love the Sims. I owned the original and Sims 2. My fiance bought me the preview disc for the Sims 3 game and it looks awesome. I have a lot of clothes, skins, furniture downloaded for my game.

I've never played the original. I actually played Sims2 I think it was on my old cell phone. That made me want to buy the Sims 2. I fell in love, I think the only expansion packs I got for it was unicersity, and night life? I can't wait to get the Sims 3, it looks amazing!

I love just the idea of being able to control a group of people like things :D and well destroy their lives my current favorite family is called Twigg here is the story slightly abridged
David Twigg moved to Enden (my sim town) with his wife Celandine and two daughters Child Chester and toddler Candice. Soon after moving in David Twigg found himself lusting after their neighbor Cee-Cee (my sister's sim). Cee-Cee left her husband and moved into the twigg house-hold with her toddler Brooke a day later she gave birth to Tatania. The family follows this pattern:
Finds Girl
Gets girl pregnant
Marries Girl
Finds other girl
Gets other girl pregnant
first girl has child
First girl is broken up with
Second girl gets married
ect.
This pattern is followed by all males in the family and so far the family is quite prosperous.

I played the Original Sims but the Sims 2 never really interested me. I then saw Sims 3 and it seems much easier for me. ^^-

I play sims 2. Rarely, but I do. I spend more time downloading stuff, fiddling around with bodyshop, looking at pictures and stuff like that. D: I want to play more often, but just don't.
You know what? I'm going to force myself to play tomorrow. I'm gonna work hard on that Steampunk hood I'm building. Yeah, that's what I'm gonna do.
I don't plan on getting Sims 3, it just doesn't interest me.

If this post is grave digging, my apologies, it was on the front page.
Anyways, I have the sims 2 double Deluxe, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, and Apartment Life. I have to say I am a huge addict (ask my girlfriend). >.>
I do want The Sims 3, but I'm not sure my computer could handle the graphics.

I bought the Sims 2, but it was broken, so I returned it for another copy.
The second copy was also broken.
I was pissed. I never bothered to buy another one. >:|
So I'll just stick with my original Sims game.

I love the Sims 2, but I don't think I'm nearly as enthusiastic about it as much as my sister is. My sister would make exact characters of everyone in the family or of her friends and herself when she started college about four years ago. I only play console version, since I don't really own the PC version, though I bought it for my sister, but I have seen it. I love the graphics and how much can be done, made, and simulated.
The console version leaves much to be desired though. You can't get married and raise a family in it, even though there are a million ways to build relationships in it. I love the handheld sims games cause it gives more personality to each character and has a real story behind it, like Sims: Urbz for the Nintendo DS.
