They're not the best books ever, somewhat boring, but I think that Twilight is the best of the three.

I am reading them in order, thank goodness otherwise I wouldn't have a clue as to what was going on. I am in the middle of New Moon at the moment and actually haven't picked the book up for about a month.
I ask myself why I haven't finished it yet when I love the book that much.

Anyways, the books are extremely amazing in my opinion. I love the way Stephanie writes and the way she makes every word they say stick in your head. Plus the way she described the characters. Once I saw who was playing them in the movie I knew right away who was who.

I think that the Twilight Series is by far my favorite ever. :3

Lox you aren't the only one who has had trouble with New Moon. I read it all at once but I had to keep flipping to the back to make sure things were going to change. I actually recommend reading that one twice because you don't really appreciate the middle the first time. You spend most of the book waiting for resolution so you barely acknowledge that Jacob is an okay guy for most of it.

Wow o.O
Twilight wasn't the best vampire book that I read. I think it would have been better if it wasn't so mushy.
My friends have dubbed me the only girl who didn't obsess about the book.

It was a good thought, the story line. The characters however... were to perfect if you get my meaning.

Well, I just saw the movie trailer on MySpace. It doesn't look promising, but I won't shun it just yet.

@keokotheshadowfang-- That's exactly what I thought. Her vampires have a ridiculous excess of power that really pissed me off even the first time reading through the series.

I've read the first book, and just finished reading New Moon awhile ago. So far I really like the series, and I'm looking forward to reading Eclipse once I'm able to find a copy. I've been waiting to check it out from the library, but every time I go there it's always gone. I guess I should try to reserve it for myself after it's returned online.

As for the movie, I'm not quite sure if I should look forward to it or not. I saw the trailer and it looked alright, so I'll probably end up seeing it in the theaters when it comes out.

I got Twilight the day or so after it came out in paperback...and still have yet to read it. There are just so many other books I would rather read. The book just doesn't seem all that good to me. But like I said I have not read it so I wouldn't know until I do.

Don't feel bad. I had Twilight and New Moon sitting on my bookshelf for almost 8 months before I read them. They just didn't sound good when they were described to me. Then when I finally got around to reading them I was pissed at myself for leaving they there so long.
I got them as a gift and at the time I was in this phase where I was reading classics that I had never read because I felt like I should and they sounded so incredibly cheesy so I just put them on my shelf and forgot them. I am still a little annoyed about how long I put them off. I could have been loving Edward for 8 months longer.

I'm so glad I found a Stephenie thread here.

I love the Twilight series, but am (half) dreading the movie.
Being a Jacob lover, and seeing who is playing him (gag me. sorry to any of you who like the actor.), turned me off a lot. But hey, looks aren't everything. So hopefully he's a good actor. =]

I've been a fan of Twilight ever since it came out. It's the only book series that's ever made me cry. And it got me back interested in reading. =]

a long time ago, i saw Twilight in my school library. I thought that the cover looked interesting, but never decided to check it out.
a long time later, i went to amazon and read the reviews for Twilight. I was amazed at all the positive reviews of the book, so I decided to go to borders to buy it.
After reading it, no doubt that it was a good book.
I'm reading New Moon right now, but i don't like it as much as Twilight.
I might not even read Eclipse...

New Moon is really hard to get through. It always takes me the longest to read. Try really hard to finish it. Eclipse is amazing. I think it is my favorite of the three and New Moon really is important. It just is so hurt filled that it is sooooo hard to get through.

I have a lot of issues with this book series, but also greatly enjoyed reading them and devoured all three books in a matter of days. Sort of a guilty pleasure. Once Rosalie's backstory was properly revealed, I became a big fan of her since I am a sucker for angst.

I hadn't been paying much attention to the movie, but the recent trailer got me very excited about it.

I really am not that much of a Jacob fan that's probably why New Moon was my least favorite book of the series. The books are in a kind of pattern. The first book, Twilight, is mainly dedicated to Edward with a hint of Jacob. The second book, New Moon, was mainly reversed. All Jacob with just a little bit of Edward. Finally, the third book, my favorite, Eclipse, was mainly Jacob versus Edward. I love the scene where Edward proposed to Bella. If she is not able to marry Edward I swear to god I am going to shoot some one!

I love Jacob. :D Are you kidding me?

But yeah, the actor has good abs lmao but he looks too Asian for me! Has anybody watched the trailer for the movie yet? I liked the scene where Edward stopped the car flying towards Bella the best.

I purchased the hardback version of Twilight and it was collecting dust for almost a year. When I was really bored, I started reading it. The book was interesting, but the characters are freakin' Mary Sues.

I think Stephenie Meyer really wants a vampire as a boyfriend.

I'd first heard about Twilight some time last year and it didn't really interest me at the time. Earlier this year though I was reading a different series and when I reached the last three books in it, I lost interest in it entirely...the author didn't know when to keep his personal philosophies to himself and not project them onto his characters so they could spout his nonsense. After that disappointment, I went to my local bookstore to check around for something new to read..and couldn't find anything I hadn't already read or wanted to read to begin with. Anyway, there was a stand at the entrance of the store filled with Stephenie Meyer books (including her new adult novel) and I figured it couldn't be too horrible if they were hyping it up so much and she was still writing them. I'm super cheap though so I went to the library instead to find Twilight and give it a chance, but of course all her books were out so I was stuck. After a week of reading manga I'd already read, I caved and bought Twilight. I was instantly addicted in a way I haven't been addicted to a series since the third Harry Potter was released.

I've read all three now and look forward to the final novel (which I've already reserved). I'm actually reading them a second time through, currently on New Moon, and it's even better the second time through.

Edward is a wonderful character, but I personally like Jacob a bit more after reading the ending of Eclipse. There's something really special about him, and while I am entirely hoping for Edward and Bella to end up happy together, I also want to see him find some closure.

Yes, Breaking Dawn will be the last novel for sure.
Stephenie has confirmed it.
But there might be a version is Edwards version.
She's not sure about that one yet though. So we can only pray.

She said Breaking Dawn was the last from Bella's perspective but not the last book in that universe. She has said multiple times that she wants to write a book from Bree's perspective as well as Midnight Sun.

Now, I'm not positive...but isn't the guy who plays Sharkboy from Sharkboy and Lavagirl playing Jacob Black in the movie. I read that somewhere, and I got weirded out.
