OMG it sucks that she leaked the book herself then blamed her friend and then posted the first 300 pages of Midnight sun on her web page and claimed she didn't write it.

...No.
She showed what she had written so far to a few close, trusted FRIENDS. The FRIENDS leaked it. She said that as long as people are going to read it, she'd rather they read it from her, where it's legal, than read the illegal copies (which are copyright infringement).
She never claimed not to have written it.

She posted it herself because she realized that there was nothing else to do.
She couldn't just not address the issue, but at the same time drawing attention to it will make people want to read it even more.

Lesson: Always take the manuscript home with you when you're done showing it to your bestestest friend. xD

Maybe her friend lied so that he/she wouldn't get in trouble... its a possibility. But, I mean, why would she send it by email? That's the dumbest thing... EVER. Lol, the VMA's is video music Awards. I usually don't watch them but I did this year because of Paramore. They we're actually really good this year, Russel Brand was rude but funny. It was a cute Twilight thing with Kristen, Rob, Cam, and Taylor (Jake, guy, I think that's he's name XD)
Everyone got to talk except for RPattz because Russel Brand totally cut his line off and he (Rob) was like "Dude, shut up so I can say my bloody line." XD

(It's not only pop stars btw, they had crappy rappers there and the awesome kid rock.
