Seiki, I am sure we can ^^

I knew it was second because at my local B&N, when I reserved it they said that it was in demand there and was the second most requested book, next to Harry Potter.

 We must beat potter. this trilogy=better. xD

Haha, yes!

I've been discussing it with some of my friends who don't particularly care to go on forums like this that like the book, and they agree with me that we should bring Harry off his number one spot. And I think that the thing with this book, is that it is the only thing even close to Harry Potter. Or, that Harry Potter is the only thing competing with the release of Eclipse. And the funny part about the whole situation is that Eclipse is number two based off of preorders alone! Imagine the sales whenever it comes out on Tuesday! If this book doesn't bring Harry down from number one within it's first week, it will do it soon. Because the Twilight fandom is growing, and it's growing quickly. People are looking for that next great series to read now that Potter is over, and this is it. And they're realizing that! I seriously think that if everyone who has read the book buys it within the first few days, the sales rank will knock Harry Potter down. And I would be thrilled!

Actually, I wonder if I could get Stephenie to give me an interview since she lives like.. 15 minutes away from me haha. See if she still feels like she isn't as good as JK Rowling, or that she shouldn't still be compared to her.

Oh! That would be awesome to have an author do an interview specifically for fans of her book on this site. >.<
It would be even more awesome if she joined the site

In my opinion, Harry Potter does not even compete with the Twilight series.
I think Stephanie Meyer's series is a lot better and it is amazing how popular is has grown. I wish her series was not ending so soon though.
>.<

Well you never know about that to be honest with you. When I talked to Stephenie last, she told me that she might be up for a fifth book if her publisher's get what they're expecting out of Breaking Dawn. If they get anything like what they're about to get with Eclipse, I think that there's a good chance they'll sign her on for another one.

My only problem with the series is that the narrator is supposed to change, and I don't want that to happen. I want it to stay Bella, but however it works out is fine with me I suppose. I'll be just as loyal to this series and to Stephenie as I am to Harry Potter and JK Rowling!

After Eclipse, I can't wait to read Stephenie's sci-fi!

Well, it would be interesting to see things from Edward's view point, so I do not really mind.
Oh, a sci-fi? I must read up on that.

Well Stephenie is writing Midnight Sun right now, which is a side project that may or may not be published, but it's Twilight in Edward's perspective. You can find the first chapter of it on her website, www.stepheniemeyer.com , under the Midnight Sun page. Its in a .pdf format.

But that's not who the new narrator is supposed to be. It's supposed to be someone we haven't met yet.

Her sci-fi is called The Host. It's also on her website. Just go to the "Other Works" section, and it's got it's own page there.

Omigosh, I can't wait to read Eclipse.. and Midnight Sun when it comes out. My friend got me into reading it last year for English since I needed to read 600 pages for the semester, and it totally got my hooked! XD

I read somewhere... I think... that Jacob was suppose to be a narrator for one of the books in the Twilight series... is that true?? Or he was suppose to be a narrator with Bella or something like that... I don't know, I'm kinda confused on that...

Oooh, a new sci-fi, I'd like to read that. It sounds quite interesting. ^^

From what I remember, the narrator is someone we're going to meet in Eclipse. So since we met Jacob in Twilight, I would say it's not going to be him haha. However, I wouldn't want him anyways. I think his temper is just.. horrible.

And I can't wait for her sci-fi! I'm hoping for a February release date haha.

I'm going to start a countdown now!

Oh I see, well, to bad for Jacob. XD It'd be kinda interesting to hear his story though... but maybe not... no it would... if there was a New Moon version of his story.

Yes, I do hope that her new sci-fi comes out in February or before then, so I can ask for it as a birthday gift!

I actually don't think I would like to have a Jacob version. I mean, as much as I love Jacob, I don't know if I could handle his perspective. He became a very angry person once he changed into a werewolf. He became bitter, and I don't think I could handle anything but the beginning of New Moon in Jacob's perspective when he's still young and cute and loves Bella for everything!

He is pretty angry and all... but it'd be interesting to like know how he felt during the time before he turned into a werewolf and the times that he did and all... but I don't know, maybe it's just me...

Congrats to Eclipse for outdoing Harry Potter in sales rate!! >w<

Psh. I feel so bad for Jacob. He may be angry, but it's only because the girl he loves loves someone else x.x I would be angry about that, too! XP I've never posted on this thread before, but I don't have anyone else to talk about Eclipse to, so I'm going to post here and wait for someone else to talk about finishing it. I cried, just a teeny bit. x.x Poor everybody.

Allo. My friends at church keep raving about the twilight books. Are they really that good? They aren't really bloody gorey are they? I'm not particularly into vampires and I was just wondering if this was a good read for fans of fantasy novels. BTW, do you guys know that the writer is LDS?

It really is not gorey at all sparkle.
And fans of fantasy I guess would like it. It is a good series overall in my opinion.

LDS is mormon, right?
Would not bother me either way since one of the guys I hang out with at school is mormon. xD And he really loves the book.

I have to rush read it since he always is borrowing my books. This is the first series he is constantly asking me when is the next book coming out and blah. Once he is done reading it, his sister reads it. Thank god they are both fast readers. I intend to give it to him to read the first day of school so I can get it back as soon as possible.

T_T He is borrowing another book from me later this month called "The Crow" which the final installment in the Pellinor series by Allison Croggon.
The is the second series he pesters me about  .

Fans of the writing of Tamora Pierce, Charles de Lint. Tanith Lee, JK Rowling, Stephenie Meyer, and fantasy readers, I HIGHLY reccommend the Pellinor Series. ^^

The books in it are:
The Naming
The Riddle
The Crow

It will give you something else to read when you are down with Eclipse

My friends have read the Pellinor Series. They say it is quite good. ^^ I remember borrowing it from the Library, and they borrowed it... and didn't give them back to me until the day it was due... T-T

But back to Twilight... I really want to read Eclipse... but I haven't seen my friend yet... and she probably has bought it already... I'm dying to read it!! >w<

Sparkle: No, I think you would like it. And it is written by a Mormon author, so you don't have to worry about them being overly gory, or whatever. Stephenie doesn't even watch R-rated movies haha.

Winter: Have you read Eclipse yet though? I have to read it again now, because I don't think I was able to fully appreciate it the first time I read it through. I was kind of speed-reading it as well.

So, what does everyone think about Eclipse? Like it? Love it? Edward or Jacob? Hate it? I need opinions!

It was different from what I expected. I would have to say I did not enjoy it as much as Twilight and New Moon and was expecting more I suppose. I kind of do not like where it ending at o.o;; It makes you mad not knowing what Bella's "techniques" or whatever are.

I think I am going to reread the series again though to see if that helps.

Well we have one more book to read that will tell Bella and Edward's story. Besides, Bella wasn't changed in Eclipse anyways, so it doesn't really matter yet xD

But I loved it. It was so much different than I expected, but still, it was really good <3 I still dislike how Jacob acts (stalker, stalker, stalker!!!!!!!!!) but he's still one of my favorite characters xD I also like how Edward finally let go of her, and started trusting her more!
