I am reading New Moon now.....I kinda just started reading the series. LOL!!
Twilight was sooo AWESOME!!! I couldn't put the book down...and sometimes I actually felt like I was Bella. LOL!!

New Moon...well, it is really sad at the begginning. T_T....

It's not hard to feel like you're Bella. It's in first person and her personality is pretty generic. ^^;

i'm reading Twilight now. I saw the movie with a friend, and i got the book because the fact that half of my friends who've read it love it and the other half hate it made me want to read it and see what i thought. I obviously like it for the most part if i'm almost finished with it after reading it for only 2 days.

There are a lot of people who really dislike it and have read it faster than you though. If it weren't for the fact that the books are so easy to read, and draw you in so quickly, they would hardly be as mainstream as they are at this point.

I liked "Twilight" a lot. Then again, I kept in mind that it's geared toward YA audiences and I am, unfortunately, not in that age group. That being said, the more I read, the less I liked Bella. I began to feel sorry for both Edward and Jacob. But, I did read all the books.

Has anyone heard whether or not Midnight Sun is ever going to be published? The last time I looked, Stephenie was saying on her website that its on hold because of the leak....

I hope she'll write books from Jacob's and Edward's point of views toward the "Breaking Dawn" timeframe. That should prove hillarious.

I have seen the movie but I haven't read the book.

I used to be a huge huge Green Day fan. Like, an entire wall in my room was plastered with posters and magazine cutouts. ^_^
I have since mellowed.
I do still have a very cuddly Green Day fleece throw on my bed though and a couple of the posters are still up. I took most of them down though. xD I mean, Billie Joe Armstrong's face isn't that great, and I needed most of that wall for my collage things that I started putting together. o:

I LOVE Twilight! I watched it the day it came out and I almost died! It wasn't as good as the book but just seeing Edward...and Jasper and EMMETT! <3 Alice was adorable! I thought Bella was kinda....ehhh Kristen Stewart's an okay Bella. I can't wait for New Moon...Eclipse...Breaking Dawn!!!!! Hopefully they do better with those.

Ok. I'll admit, my favorite part of the movie was when Laurent & James came walking up to the baseball game...
Second favorite, when James jumped on the boat..

Hmm...come to think of it, I can't vividly remember any other parts than those...

I would just like to point out that I've had the movie included as part of the discussions here since before the Twilight movie discussion was ever made in the Media forum.

Also, as this thread is about the Twilight series as a whole, I don't see why we shouldn't be able to talk about the movie or other Twilight related things such as conventions or merchandise or whatever. So long as the discussion is about Twilight, it shouldn't matter since it's not off topic.

And the more recent movie discussion has been a comparison between the book and the movie, or users stating that they hadn't read the books but have seen the movie.

Yeah. I mean, it's fine that there's a movie thread, but I don't see why we can't discuss it here too.

I read the first Twilight book. I can't get into the series.
I'm not going into the why and what because this is a fan club.
Twilight just isn't my cup of tea.

Oh, I'm not saying that all talk in this thread must be completely about the books, I'm more referring to the posts that just solely state their favourite/worst parts of the movie, they think this or that actor is hot, etc. That kind of chat has been surfacing a lot lately and I think those kind of posts should really be in the Media thread.

Generally, the discussions that I see in here are about the book(s) with parts of the movie thrown in and that's okay. But it's the posts that I explained above that should be in the Media forum, because that's why we have a Books and a Media forum; to discuss them seperately.

I hope I've cleared that up for you? I don't want you to think that I've said "all talk of the movie must stop right now", because that wasn't my intention ... though, I realize my initial post must have sounded that way.

Since we are all being honest here...i would not like to read the books but the movie looks interesting. I cant stand the way stephanie meyer writes. it disgusts me...

Spring - Ohhh, okay. I can understand that.

I absolutely love the series, read the first 2 books within 5 days. Now I'm taking a short break before I start the 3rd one.

I don't think I want to see the movie, movies usually ruin the books because they're aweful or almost unrelated to the book.
