It's stupid how much I want to keep reading even though I think Isabella is stupid and Edward is emo and angsty and not very smart.

But I can totally wait for the movie. Cedric Diggory was cast as Edward. Um, no! Sorry! I don't want to see it anymore, next they're gonna say Helena Bonham-Carter is Esme and Johnny Depp is Carlisle! (Actually, those might not be bad castings, vampires and all. :|)

But Cedric Diggory as Edward is full of noooooooo!

It looks to me that this thread has not been updated in a while ^_^;;

let me get a few things straight shall we? ^_^

First: It is a definite of there being a Twilight movie!

Bella and Edward have already been cast. . . The movie is in the pre-production vase as of now so there has been no shooting of the movie yet. . . But it should be out in a couple of years.

You all want to know who the cast of Edward and Bella is? Well find out more on the homepage Stephenie Meyer's books, at www.stepheniemeyer.com

As for, if there is going to be a forth book in the Twilight series. . . the answer is YES!

It is now finalized that Breaking Dawn will becoming out this fall! That is if Stephenie Meyer finishes writing it by then! ^-^

If the thread creater wants to contact me I would love to help out with this thread ^_^

I can't wait until the fourth book comes out.
I remember seeing a picture of Twilight on a forum, and when I saw that same cover in the library I decided to see if I liked it.
I think I finished it in three hours, and I bought the three first books in english (I usually speak Dutch)
Eclipse comes out in dutch end of 2008.
When I finished them, I made my friends read them and now none of us can wait until we can continue reading.

I have read Twilight and Eclipse, I haven't had the fotune to read Elipse yet thogh. I will probably end up reading it pretty soon, since my best friend owns it. I just have been too lazy to go to her house and ask to borrow it. I got her into the series when I told her about how absolutly amazing the first book was, and I think now she is probably a bigger fan than I am. Lol

These books are absolutely amazing! I lent to my friend and she said, "Wow I can't believe I didn't read these earlier. I feel sorry for everyone who hasn't read them. I felt sorry for myself before I read them!" and later said "It's like the only thing that keeps me alive is knowing that if I die I'll never be able to read the next book.." and I feel exactly the same! They're sooo well written and I love them so much!

I don't think its that fair for Bella to have to choose between Edward and Jacob, but personaly I like Edward, he seems more caring than jacob, and her is more protective.Jacob seems full of himself and overconfident. A least Edward is more modest, and thinks about others. Bella kinda seems stupid, like with the whole, Jacob is a werewolf thing, it had taken her forever to figure it out, and then with eclipse it had taken her till graduation to figure out the scent stealer and the Seatle coven were the same.

Actually Marzi, Edward and Jacob are very much the same. They do everything the same, only Edward knows how to act and be deceptive.

Well, I see it differentaly, Edward IS good at most stuff, but jacob THINKS he is. I do agree that edward is more deceptive and ia more polite, though.

Well, you must realize that Jacob is quite young compared to Edward, right?

Also, Bella is the worst character ever. Sorry. I've read the books. I've seen it.

Bella has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. She is a whiny, apathetic loser. Her whole life is defined by her love for Edward. What a great heroine for female readers to look up to! Of course it's okay to have no life or goals outside of the guy you like! And for male readers, is it really good for their respect for women to read from this shclocky characters point of view? Hey, a woman that does nothing but worship you! Don't guys get bombarded with enough of that crap?

And as for the writing! Trite. Boring. REPETITIVE. Sometimes I'll look at a sentence and think, hm, didn't I see that before? She uses the same descriptions for characters and facial expressions over and over again. There are numerous grammar and syntax errors, as well as spelling errors!

I'm going to quote what someone else said, which made me laugh. In regards to the plot:

"I love you!" "I love you, but I'm going to hurt you!" "No you won't! I want to be a vampire!" "No! I don't want you to be a monster!" Blah blah blah blah blah." Hundreds of pages of nothing but this crap. Some of it so bad, I actually grimaced :D

I can't believe this ever got published. But then, knowing most Americans, I'm really not surprised.

Also, can we get some discussion going here? Not just "HOMG i luv the bookz! lol." :twisted: What do you love about the books?

I love the Twilight series but I'll agree with Sweet Lemon Effect. I can't stand Bella. I love the qualities of the other characters. All of New Moon bored me except for the short clips of excitement and danger. I felt like I was reading a sob story of a desperate teenager. Bella whined the whole book. I was tempted to stop reading it. But then when Edward and the rest of the Cullen's reappeared I was rather ecstatic. It's the only thing the drove me to keep reading.

I love that Edward is loving, but Bella kind of makes love struck teens look bad by being clingy and obsessive. She makes females look bad, and makes men look down on women as their worshipers.

Also... short comment but Lemon:
You didn't need to make such a rude remark about American's. You don't know most. No offense just saying. ^_^;

I've seen this series and considered picking it up, but I absolutely refuse to read anything about vampires which characters named "bella". Give me a break, can we get any MORE cliche?

Reading through the thread doesn't give me much hope that it would be any good, of course it couldn't be any worse than that series about the URBAN YOUTH black vampire hunter ghetto crap. Man, I couldn't get past the first five pages of that crap fest.

I dunno, I guess I'm just jaded by the whole world of vampire literature, I haven't seen anything new/interesting/readable in the genre for years now. Quite sad really.

    The movie is now being produced. It is being filmed in Kalama, Washington; Portland, Oregon and Vancouever, Washington. Yes, what I say is true. They are not filming it in Forks OR Pheonix. How their going to pull this off I dont know.

  • @Sweet Lemon Effect: You do make a very good point, but I believe that the people reading are just so wrapped up in Bella's story, and possibly, those of us who have loved like that can compare and understand how her world just falls apart in New Moon and everything that happens inbetween. Like, going to see Jacob, hes like her best friend, who do most people turn to when their upset? Their est friend, I know that I can compare a lot with Bella's story, thats why I have read each book about four times. But, thats just me.

In my opinion, Bella is just a sad mess, but I cannot help but relate and feel sorry for her. I uderstand how it feels to be put in her situation, in a way. But then again, how many people can say they have been in love with a vampire? And he left her ans she fell in love with a werewolf?

But on the subject of Jacob, I have two feelings towards him. After reading New Moon, I thought he was the most amazing person ever. But then in Eclipse, I thought how could he be so mean? Hes arrogent and obserd. I absolutly cant stand him. Does anyone else feel this way?
