It's waaay more fun to go onto private servers (which I found out are apparently legal) because of the enhanced rates of drop and exp, but alas, it does become redundant after awhile. :|

I'm lvl 85 on Bera :3 And I believe they've fixed the websites opening up only in IE because now I can go on it in firefox and safari XD Though I believe they probably recommend IE for viewing it.

Maplestory was really fun for me at first because my friend introduced me to it, and starting out in a new world was really awesome. I really love discovering new games and the like, so Maplestory became my new favourite. I don't mind games that are 2D or anything... infact, graphics are the last thing I think of - provided that the story or the way to play the game makes up for that area. And Maplestory has recently been releasing new cities with great enviroments <3
But, after a little while, it wasn't fun anymore. After being flamed, or any of the sort, you just kind of ease off of it a little while. Especially since, the friend who introduced me to it in the first place kind of quit it for a little while. He came back eventually, but I had to quit Maple in order to avoid someone else who wouldn't leave me alone. xD

Anyway, I'm really only a Hunter on level 59. Before I quit Maple, I was desperately searching for level 60 equipment (and not being able to find any, I almost lost interest in the game just because of that). Since I haven't played in a long while, I've kind of been left behind in the generations. Do you know what I mean? >_< Like how you PQ so much that you sort of know most of the people who are near your level, but then you go inactive and you come back like "who the hell are these people? D: " .

Even most of my friends at the moment are around the 130's, which only makes me jealous and want to play maple even more.
But still, I'm so lazy to level. :x

I really enjoyed Maple Story, at least up until my character reached level 30. I have a level 33 Page and now a level 30 Cleric. After my first character hit level 30, i hung in there for another couple of days, then had to take a break from it. Thinking a mage would keep my interest better, I made the Cleric, but the grinding is just absolutely ridiculous on the game. And usually I like grinding... O_o But anyways, mabye I need another like 10 month break from the game before I gain interest back... Blarg! :shock:

I've heard of the game but what operating system and how fast of a connection does it require?

I believe it's only good for Windows, and it does work for Vista. I haven't found a download for Macs, but for all I know it's probably sitting under my nose. And you definately want to have a faster connection than dial-up! >)

I've been playing Maplestory since 05 and I really love it. Its been the only MMORPG that I've been able to stick around and actually play a lot. I had a level 47 Hunter but I remade him because I messed up on his stats. He's now a level 16 Archer. xD I also have a level 35 Cleric. I haven't been playing it a lot lately, but I plan on playing it a bit tomorrow.

I'm thinking about buying nexon cash, but is it really worth it?

Buying clothes and such just makes you look pretty, but doesn't add any excitement. D: It's only useful if you want to use those game status... things. (Those rocks and the reset of a job thing?)

I like the card game, but the mmo got so boring after an hour that i quit.

I love Maplestory. I have a 40 hunter that I currently play, as well as a 46 Bandit, 42 Cleric, 39 Fire/Poison mage, and various other misc. characters.

While it is quite boring when you first start, and the leveling curves seem intimidating, if you learn the various party quests and what levels are accepted most commonly in the given quest, you level up rather quickly.

The other problem for almost anyone is money... I have to say I'm not rich, and there's almost no way around it to me, though every other character seems to be rolling in millions of mesos... Any tips for making mesos?

I lovee Maplestoryy! It's so funn. Usually when I get bored, I get some summon bags and I try to summon the monsters in weird places. I've been playin' for five yeears, and I still enjoy it a lot. Though the people on their are all like teeny boppers, it's fun to mess with them. I'll just give out my info if anyone wants to add me. I'm level 71, Chief Bandit. :D

man... i joined that about four years ago just before nexon took it from wizet. adorable little game. The economy can be irksome but it isn't wholly unworkable; the community, however, gets immature and annoying very fast. Still it's good to go back to every once in awhile when I get bored and want to kill the chibiness.

If you want a good 2d casual mmo minus the twelve year olds, Aeria games just released LaTale to open beta, it seems worth while.
