LonelyOtaku97: The Stand is an amazing book, and if you like it, I would recommend The Talisman by Stephen King and Peter Straub.... that is my favourite King book.
Right now I'm into the second book of the Septimus Heap series, written by Angie Sage. It's a fantasy and adventure series about the seventh son of a seventh son in a family of wizards. Very very well written book, it's aged 9-12 at Chapters, much like Harry Potter, which was also a fantastic wizard series. This one has me completely enthralled and it's become my mission to find all the books. There are currently 6 books out, but I only have the first three. Angie Sage is apparently working on a seventh instalment to the series.

I'm currently reading a book titled The Rise of Nine. It's part of a series called Lorien Legacies, by 'Pittacus Lore'. I believe it's aimed at teenagers, based on the writing style, but I could be wrong. I'm quite enjoying it for the descriptions, and in terms of the plot line, but the characters can be quite simple at times. I suppose it's a book in which you can relax and not focus too much in, and in that regards it's rather enjoyable.
Cloud Atlas is the next on my list to read, which I'm quite excited about.

A Tale of Two Cities.
It's slow reading.
Not for a lack of rapidity in the story.
But I'm having trouble making myself get through it.

Still getting through Supergods: Our World in the Age of the Superhero by Grant Morrison and The Steampunk Bible by Jeff Vandermeer and S J Chambers (Though I admit I'm not much further with the latter, the almost encyclopedic writing style makes it harder to motivate myself to plug through a chapter or two every now and then than with Supergods), also reading Charles Stross's The Attrocity Complex. Which is freaking hilarious.

Yeah. There's not many books that I can't get through. The only two other books that I still haven't finished are The Old Man and the Sea, and The Silmarillion.

I just started Gardens of the Moon(book one of the "Malazan Book Of The Fallen") series by Steven Erikson. Though I wish I was reading book 14 of the Wheel of Time series...but it doesn't come out until January...and I will still have to wait about a year to get it in paperback(have the rest of it in paperback already...not breaking that collection with a hardcover).

It's absolutely hilarious, and is the second book in the series.

Im currently reading StormWarden by Janny Wurts. It's her first book in the cycle of fire trilogy. Read some good reviews. Fantasy/sci fi with magic, demons, and apparently aliens, so def worth a shot!
If you don't know who she is, but you do know Raymond E Feist, they collaborated together for the empire series set in Feist's world, which is apparently a best selling trilogy. I just wanted to get one of her own books read first before i start it as i've read plenty of Feist already but don't know her style yet!
Anybody else read Janny wurts or the empire series with feist? lemme know what you thought if so! Or recommend other awesome fantasy series ^_^

Out of Oz by Gregory Maguire.
It's the last book in his Wicked series. I absolutely love it, but it's taken me a few months to even pick it up for a personal reason. It's taken me a few tries, but I think I'm finally going to finish it this time.
