I'm actually reading a lot of books right now. I'm right about in the middle of the 4th Harry Potter (No Hermione and Ron pisses me off.)
I'm also reading Uglies, The Outsiders, The Eye of Ana, and Soul Eater. I'm almost done with The Outsiders, though.
@Beryl: Do you happen to be talking about the books by Michelle Paver? I absolutely love those books. Soul Eater is one of them.

Well I was reading the 7th Harry Potter book and now I am reading City of Glass by Cassandra Clare and a french book called La vie devant soi by Romain Gary. Right now I would say that City of Glass is a very good book its the 3rd book, the 1st book is called City of Bones and the 2nd book is called City of Ashes. La vie devant soi is a very good book the author actually wrote many books with different names which was discovered after his death.

You will find The Outsiders to be a very good book, you can also watch the movie like I have its a classic to me. Once you get to the 7th Harry Potter book you will love it but I am not so sure of the ending.

I actually really disliked the 7th Harry Potter book. I thought it was the worst one in the whole series. I mean, it worked as a conclusion, but I thought that on the whole it wasn't very good.
Right now, I'm reading a bunch of books, actually. The only one of note, really, is The Astonishing Adventures of Fanboy and Goth Girl by Barry Lyga. I've read it before, but it's really good, and worth re-reading. ^^

I just finished Devil Bones by Kathy Riechs, and I started Death Du Jour by the same author. I'm nearing the end of Inkheart, though the writing style is a little annoying for me. It's still fairly decent though. I have two more Kathy Riechs mysteries waiting for me once I finish reading Death Du Jour, and I have Inkspell as well.

I haven't read any autobiographies... a couple of those sort of travel diary books, but that's the closest I've come. ;; I think I might be the opposite of nosy. XD
I'm currently reading Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman, a collection of short stories by Haruki Murakami. I've wanted to read his books for a long time, but only started with Kafka On The Shore back in May. Since then I've read a few more and enjoyed them greatly. His way of writing makes even very small, normal things seem significant and symbolic - so much so that I often worry that I'm not 'getting' the real meaning of his stories. XD;; I've only read the first two stories in this collection so far, but I'm enjoying them.
I'd recommend his books to anyone who enjoys reading about strange happenings in otherwise normal places - I think it's that contrast that makes his stories so compelling for me.

Panda: You win at life. I love Murakami's works. Kafka on the Shore is one of my top 5 favorite books. I agree that part of what is so compelling about his writing is the way that the unusual becomes part of the character's lives.
I on the other hand am continuing my re-read of the Young Wizards series by Diane Duane. On the third book right now as I read the second book as well as Island by Jane Rogers while on vacation. :)

I'm reading a few different ones lately, the most recent one being Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. The last book I read was Neuromancer by William Gibson.
Also I've been reading the Horus Heresy Series from the Black Library [the whole series is written by Various authors] and Frank Beddor's series The Looking Glass Wars which is a different twist on Alice in Wonderland.

I just began reading Eragon. I saw the movie several months ago but I found it to be rather confusing, it seemed like the movie rushed through the story a lot and they didn't explain it very well. So I picked the book up at a used book store and am reading it for the first time.
