I am currently reading Year of the Flood by Margret Atwood. It is a sequel (or a prequel depending how you look at it) to the book Oryx and Crake. So far it is very creepy with the mega corporations and all the politics and plastic surgery. I like it still; however, I tend to like most of Margret Atwood's books even though they are creepily close to the truth in some cases. That could by why I like them too.

So, I'm reading a few books actually.
Rereading Warrior and Witch by Marie Brennan as well as Willow by Julia Hoban. I'm also rereading Little Brother by Cory Doctorow-a very good book for those who liked 1984, and even for those people who didn't like 1984.
I'm in the middle of reading the Nightworld series by L.J. Smith. I can't wait for the next book to come out. Oh yes, I'm also reading the Blue is for Nightmares series by Laurie Faria Stolarz. I'm reading a bunch of other books as well, but these are the ones that are capturing my attention the most. =]

I'm currently rereading The Abarat series by Clive Barker. He's finally coming out with the third after six years. I'm also slowly working through Dante's Inferno.
For class, I just finished A Doll House and The Norton Anthology of American Literature collection of Wallace Stevens' poems. Next I'll be reading Passing by Nella Larsen.

I am currently reading "The Faerie Queen" by Edmund Spencer and "Doctor Faustus" by Christopher Marlowe. Anyone else heard of them? I think Spencer is a genius. Although some people may not agree with his ideas about the Catholic church, if you want to become a poet he uses magnificent imagery in his cantos :D

The question is what am I not reading... :headdesk: I am reading Death of a salesman for one of my numerous English classes. I am attempting to read the Twilight series, which is killing me. (Apologies to those who like the series....I just can't seem to really get into it....)
The book I am reading for pleasure is The Harper Hall Trilogy by the amazing Anne McCaffery. The world of Pern is just a fascinating place, full of danger and excitement (not to mention dragons and apparently very attractive men ;))

Right now I'm reading "Love In The Time Of Cholera", which I highly recommend. It's a great book and there's a movie that out too. So you have a choice of reading the detailed book, or if your lazy, you can watch the less detailed movie.

Well, I tend to get myself into multiple books at a time, so here is my current list:
Seeing Redd
Beast
The Davinci Code
I'm actively reading the last book, and picking up the others when I need a change of pace. Does anyone else read multiple books at a time?

I just read a book from jane austen, here a short book report:
Eight Years ago persuaded by the trusted family friend Lady Russel, Anne Elliot, the heroine of Jane Austen’s novel Persuasion, let the love of her life get away. He wasn’t an adequate match and Anne could do better, much better. But after all the years she stayed alone it now, it pays off; she gets a second chance.
Causes of money waste and pride the Elliots move to Bath but Anne stays with her beloved friend Lady Russell, where she meets Frederick Wentworth again. And now these two matured personalities collide, but can they still find together in the confusions and turbulences of the nobility?
Themes of uncertainty, family relations, love and the social status of the woman in the society are told us with a slightly cynicism.
Austen wasn’t a meekly chicken, which picked a bit in its literary front garden, but the most elegant and satirical talent of the18 century
hope you like the book as much as I doo
