Okay, i think I have most of the food groups covered: oriental ramen (for the carbs and salt and the healing qualities of soup), almonds (protien/fat) and a tomato (fruit and veggie). No dairy though, because that's bad for my stuffy nose.

I accidentally left the top of her cage open...I don't remember leaving it open either, but when I got up, it was open and she isn't her in cage now!

I dunno. I swore that cage was shut when I went to bed. Unless the top part didn't get latched all the way and she pushed it open--that's the only thing I can think of besides the cat getting into it. It was the top part that was open when I woke up...

I'd have to find a bucket, and then make a stack of books, staircase fashion, leading up to the bucket. Then you put food inside the bucket and she's supposed to come back. I'm going to try this when I get home. I still have hope that she's just hiding somewhere. I hope I find her before Kali does. I was frantic this morning looking for her, and came to work crying.

Well, I"ll put some bedding in the bottom of the bucket so that she's not too scared.
And it won't be too deep either. I haven't really thought of what to use yet. But I'll just have to keep an eye on it so that Kali doesn't see her eating in there.

OH NO Sizzla disaster has struck!

I'm so sorry Ham Chan's gone.. but DO NOT FEAR. My hamster also escaped when I was little and lived in our room for a few days... luckily my sister was there and we had left sunflower seeds in the middle of the floor, so she just scooped it up and put it back in its cage.


But the cat issue is hairy. That's kind of torture for your cat is it not, to live with a hamster? That IS a tangled web you've woven....

Well just send Ham Chan some vibes of encouragement. The bucket trap seems good.



In other news I've had it with my co-worker and have advocated for him getting fired. It's just that time. The man's 28 and still 'forgets' to set his alarm, arriving late everywhere and making us look like slobs! No more I say.

I just hope Kali wouldn't eat her...playing with her is fine...but I've seen her try to nibble at Ham-chan before, so I wouldn't doubt she'd bite her. I just don't see her trying to eat her. She's hairy! Kali is way to prissy for all that. I think she's rather eat her cat food. But I imagine the worst-case scenario to be Kali bringing her to me as a gift...perhaps on my bed in the morning when I wake up. Now, that would be an awful way to wake up.

I have been sending telepathic messages to poor Hammy all day. I keep telling her "Hide Ham-chan! Don't come out until I get home so I can save you if necessary!" This is her sleeping time now though, so I'm thinking she's probably holed up somewhere, hiding from the cat. Kali was looking at her cage this morning, wondering where she was, so I don't think she'd gotten to her at that point. I figure I'll set the trap, lock Kali in my bedroom with her litter box and food, go to the laundromat and do my laundry and hope to come back with a trapped Ham-chan. We'll see how that one goes...*sweatdrop*
