Not graduating right away isn't that big of a deal. I took an extra year because:
1) I was REALLY stressed out/depressed
2) My major was the major that had to take THE most amount of credit hours to graduate, right under the med students.

The modeling industry is ridiculous when it comes to sizing. It's not about how much you weigh, but how much you seem like you weigh. They don't want to see any curves, any muscle, any thickness unless you're supposed to be an athlete. They can build curves in a way that makes you look thinner than you are, but they can't build down from curves.

And it's so... so much pressure. If you even look at the catering (and you don't have a name for youself) they write you off as being fat. You could be stick thin and they'd pass you up for someone else.

Ugh.

@Mike- Enjoy your night! :3 Happy St. Patrick's Day to you, too~
I just joined this afternoon, so I'm trying to figure out how to participate in the events, earn gold and whatnot. Maybe I'll draw for clothes.. haha. I'm working on a sketch as of now. Too sick to do the work I am supposed to for my classes.

Stilettolover: I'm a fan of curves. Woman are supposed to be curvy and have body fat. I'm glad to look the way I do. -Nods- I'm normal. I like that.

Oh, I am too. I think woman should be soft and plushie. But that isn't what the modeling industry wants.

Ugh.
I personally don't like how the modelling business is run. It's basically a foundation made by rich designers for rich designers. They show us styles that are never worn here on the streets, people that we never see on the streets and basically their just there for photo-ups and eye candy.

It's really unfair how modelling has no variety in their work. D;

yes, but there are people IN the thread at the moment that want the items.. and it'd be nice if they had a chance instead of people winning items for others. o-O

so it'd be nice if next event, they said only one person can win once for themselves and that's it. it gives more people chances.

Indeed.
They want clothes hangers. I don't see anything wrong with being thin when that is how you naturally are. I know some very pretty twig thin girls who eat more than I do. XD But they look good because they aren't straining their bodies to change.

Well yes, this is true. There are a few people in here that are trying to get some. But the ones that I see are showing up, some of them are lurking. D; they really should be talking. I've made more gold off this event talking and buying the event items then anything else.

Although I guess you get that pride when you win an item. It would be nice if some of them could do it themselves, then again some people are way too lazy and just want it to be sent to them with zero effort. >>; people should put more effort into what they want.
