I used to draw a LOT.
But I stopped.
For a long time.
But I drew my Gaia avatar today...because I felt like it.
I want a tablet so badly.
What do you think of this piece of traditional art?
My shading has gotten really bad.

the picture is really good! all i have to say is, maybe either the legs are a bit too short or the arms a bit too long... (i rather think that it's the arms)
the shading is cool too.... i wish you luck for getting a tablet, tablets are really great...i think you could produce a lot of great artworks if you had one! ^-^

She looks very cute!
Just take it one picture at a time. You look like you have a pretty good eye for pencil work, so stick with it! You don't need tablets or fancy programs to make art.
Heck some people make some pretty darn amazing things with MS Paint and a mouse!
You could also try oekaki.
So just keep drawing and keep working at it. You'll get back into the swing of things.

You really do have a cute style. ^^ You know what you're doing, anatomically, and you made your picture adorable.
I agree with Lucida on something being just a tad off ... I think that the legs could stand to be a bit longer. The whole image is very nicely portrayed, though, and easy on the eyes. ^^
You made the body look very real and believable, PLUS you're talented with hands; they're very difficult for some people, but they look nice here.
It seems you also know your way around clothing folds to a good extent, so you get points for that, too.
In all, great job. Definately keep at it, and I'd love to see more from you. ^^

I think that picture is really cute.
I don't get the big deal about tablets... I know they work for some people, but automatically getting one will not make your art amazing. I have a friend who colours with a mouse, and she is better than a lot of people out there with their precious tablets...

Hehe, your style is definitely cute :3
:o having a tablet, like some have already said, doesn't make you an automatic WHOA AWESOME ARTIST! XD; It takes practice, too, to handle it, but it definitely helps the drawing process easier (at least in my case). It's both a curse and a blessing for me, in having a tablet, I mean ^^; I think digitally, my art has improved, but because I kind of rely so much on it (and the CTRL+Z button), my traditional stuff suffers ^^;;;
