Hello hello. So many wonderful topics but I fail to see one of what I am creating now.

I am curious if any of you play any of the Tycoon games such as Zoo Tycoon, or Rollercoaster Tycoon? Any "Tycoon" related. If so maybe you'd like to share which one, when you started to play *estimate is fine* and why you enjoy or dislike it?

Myself, I'd have to say that I've tried both of those mentioned above but I got bored with Roller but Zoo I seem to like alot. I think its the fact it deals with animals and I'm an animal lover so in a sense, you can learn about 'em with the mini facts the game adds to it.

For some odd reason I'm kind of addicted to Coffee Tycoon (don't know if that's the actual name but...) You run this little coffee shop and get to open up new stores and everything. It's pretty cool...

Zoo tycoon is awesome too! I love just making different zoos and seeing how the people like them...

Rollercoaster tycoon I really didn't get into that much... I had the full version and everything but, it just didn't spark my imagination as much as Zoo tycoon did...

Coffee Tycoon, can't say that I've heard of that one but now I am kinda tempted to google it just to find out more info and get some preview images to see. xD

Whee another Zoo lover, yay. <3 Most of my friends just laugh at me thinking its a kiddy game or something but I just think its so fun. n_n

I want to get the seaworld version of it too and see what that is like. Always a fan of sea life but can't get up close and personal to one the game would be getting close. Hehe.

Yeah, most of my guy friends agree with the Roller aspects that you just said. My father used to play it though, and enjoyed it but now he seems to not like it for sheer fact he is able to complete the challenge before time is up.

I loved Roller Coaster Tycoon. It was my favorite game and I'd play it for hours and hours... I was so sad when I found out my new computer wouldn't play it.
My sister has Zoo Tycoon and she loves it. I've watched her play a few times and it looks like fun.

i love Rollercoaster Tycoon. i too cannot play it on my current computer though :(
i have RCT2, but somehow it doesn't look as good as the first game, even though the look is exactly the same, the graphics seem kind of blurred. It's not my pc, i have a good graphics card, i have to have to be able to play on the Sims 2! So i'm slightly disappointed with RCT2.
i have RCT3 aswell, and while it looks great, it's pretty hard, if not impossible to complete some of the scenarios T_T

I have Zoo Tycoon with the aquarium and dinosaur expansions. It's one of the few strategy games I really enjoy. It's difficult enough to make any profit on a zoo that it keeps me entertained for quite a while... and when I get bored, I can just remove a bit of fence and watch the dinosaurs rampage and kill all my zoo visitors.

I bought Rollercoaster Tycoon a couple years ago but never actually figured out how to play it. I was gonna give it to Donna but she doesn't want it.

Hmm maybe I should sell it on Ebay XD that'd work. But no really, I don't know how to play it at all >< and Donna doesn't know how to help either, even though she's supposed expert on the game.

  • Roller Coaster Tycoon probably. Then it would be Zoo, then Mall. Those were the only Tycoons I actually played. .-.

It was just fun making theme parks and such, I used to have the first one but I lost it. ;o; One thing I didn't like about RC Tycoon: There wasn't much land that you could expand your park, there weren't any "Start from scratch" parks either where you have to buy land and stuff like that. Also how basically everything you construct and destruct costs you money, like moving the land up and down, or deleting trees. Even though it's something that'd actually happen in real life, it made me have money problems. D:

Zoo Tycoon is also fun, but then the scenarios are kind of boring. But it is fun if you have all of the expansion packs, because you can do a lot more with it. I liked this game because there were "Start out from scratch" lands.

This topic made me pick up Cruise Tycoon while at Wal-mart--Yay for $5 games, right? xD It's actually a lot of fun. I'm still trying to figure out how to get things to work, make money, etc.

It wouldn't be too bad if they weren't drunk 100% of the time and always puking all over the deck. @[email protected] I keep having to build more and more bars. It's all they want! Bars and shops! Occasionally some food.

I want to try Mall Tycoon, but I don't think I'd like Rollercoaster or Zoo tycoon.

I love simulator games like this. But I don't like the Sims. xD Strange, yeah?

I've played Roller, Cruise, The fish one, space one and some others. I like roller the best. But whats funny to me is that in the store I saw a prison one.

Roller Coaster Tycoon was my favorite game for awhile. I had almost beaten every level, but then my computer got a virus.

The only one I liked was Roller Coaster Tycoon 2. I had the third, but my computer seemed to be too slow for the game. And I tried Sea World Tycoon, but the game was frustrating.

The only one I've played is Rollercoaster Tycoon. I think. I used to have this game where you make a seaworld type zoo, but I'm not sure if it was a tycoon.

Anyway, I've always loved roller coasters, so I was excited when they came out with a game that let you build amusement parks. I have the second one around here somewhere, but I'm not sure where. I've got the third one on this computer, but I've only done a couple of the scenario things. I usually only play that free mode that doesn't have a money limit. I just like to make really big, complex roller coasters. It's a shame that no one gets on the scariest ones though. ;.; That really sucks.

Zoo Tycoon sounds pretty interesting. Then I read further and it has a dinosaur expansion?! I'm definitely going to have to check that out.

I've tried playing Roller Coaster Tycoon 2. It's a great one. :3

Aside from giving you the temporary feeling of being a rich businessman, it is fun to build/design your own theme park (rides, the theme park's layout, etc.). =]
