Hey Zurie, I've got plenty of funny stories from Chris. He's been bowling and knocked his hand into a bed post. I've heard he's hit his roommate quite a few times while boxing. I also know one time where he was boxing and jumping around (float like a butterfly sting like a bee) and tripped over something on the floor and fallen flat on his face... anyway back to homework...

Oh em gee. After reading these I don't know if I even want one now. They seem so dangerous! xDD

  • It's not that they're dangerous, it's that people are either too active while playing or they don't realize how much space you truly need for which games. xD

They're fun overall, but the underlying fact is that you still need to be careful.

Yeah, I have two little kids living here...hyper all the time. If I gave one of them a controller it'd be plunged into my forehead within a few seconds. xDD

I've only played the Wii once so far, so I don't have any stories. But I always laugh when I hear them.

I haven't had any Wii accidents.

My sister did, though. She hit herself on the head while boxing. It was kinda funny, but I somehow managed to stifle my laughter for the most part.

Fortunately I've been able to avoid any accidents. I've had a few times when I thought I might, but fortunately I had the wrist strap on or it simply fell harmlessly to my bed since I have to play on my bed. (I have a small bedroom.)

Though I almost did have a good one. Nothing like seeing a nunchuk flying around when you simply unhook it from your Wiimote, but forget to unattach the stupid strap. Hahaha...I was just playing Wii Sports when this happened and was playing Tennis, so it went flying around.

I have heard of course all the stories about Wiimotes through TVs and walls, but not from anyone locally that has a Wii. Of course there aren't too many that have one right now. Only reason I even have one is from a raffle on Amazon.com. I still had to pay for it, but such is life.

I've never played the Wii before but when it was first released my band teacher brought it into class the day after our concert. It was fun watching everyone playing with it but I won't forget that one particular guy got up to play bowling and they yelled just as he was going to swing his arm so he over shot and lost his balance and fell back. Human instinct says to turn and put your hands up to break the fall but that was a mistake.

He fell onto a senior boy and got a full on mouth to mouth xD!

Only my dad got a bit carried away playing Tennis on Wii Sports and hit the lamp. The Wimote has a little mark on it's back since then, but the lamp was ok.

Ahh wii~

One time, I had a tennis tournament at my house and it was a match between my friends Ellen and Dakota. Ellen is a space cadet, and a klutz supreme, so we basically forced her to wear the wrist strap. Good thing too...she went to serve and swung too hard, letting the wiimote go, and somehow it whacked me in the head, only for her to jerk her arm up and whack Dakota in the chin. Fun times...xD

Has anyone had an accident that wasn't WiiSports related though? Nearly all of htem here seem to be...

Well I haven't really had any accidents with the regular Wii remotes, but I was playing WiiFit on the balance board. I was doing this exercise where you basically kick your leg out behind you and my dog walked behind me right as I did it. Then of course he got mad and grabbed onto my pant leg. Needless to say I fell off.

Oh! I have one to tell! It didn't happen to me but then it was one of my friends and it became a story to tell amongst us all XD Well, it was when the Wii first came out and people didn't really bother about the strap that was supposed to go around the wrist. So my friend was really into playing tennis on Wii sports with her boyfriend so she was really into it and swung extra hard and the thing was, the Wii controller slipped out of her hand and towards the television! The TV set screen broke and there was the Wii controller inside it. O.o The TV was obviously gone but amazingly enough, the Wii controller still worked! That's Nintendo for you! The Nokia of consoles! XD

I haven't had any accidents, and my remotes don't have any wrist straps at all. They annoyed me, so I took them off. xD I have whacked people while playing, though. I kept accidentally hitting my mother while attempting to shake off zombies in RE4.

My only real gaming accident involved a Gamecube controller. I got mad and threw it across the room, and while I meant to aim below the TV, my aim sucks and I hit the TV anyway.
It turned everything all purple and blue. =o It actually made the game look pretty cool.
Luckily, it fixed itself. >_>

I managed to B-slap my cousin in the face with the nunchuck once. We had to stop playing cause we spent the next 20 minutes laughing ourselves stupid about it.

I have one; and it's not funny.

Sister was playing Wii Sports with me; she accidentally threw the remote into the wall ('cause she's a dumb ass) and she went running before I could kill her.

I was playing a Bleach game, and my Dad walked in. Normally, that wouldn't be funny or embarrassing. But, with this certain game, the hand movements are reminiscent of what a teenager boy would do while alone. With a sock. >>; Thank god I'm female, or that would have been horrible.
