HunterXHunter is a really great series by Yoshihiro Togashi.
Yesyes he also created Yu Yu Hakusho.
anyway...

Many people I have met or just talked to randomly said it was alright.
But the problem was that they read the first volume or so. I agree in the beginning its kind of slow or something, but later on it gets really good.
The story is quite exciting and humorous. Even my mom likes it. Haha.
Its quite graphic at some points, if you don't like blood and stuff, but beside that I highly recommend you to read it. ;D

HunterxHunter is pretty interesting. It hasn't quite hit up there with Yu Yu Hakusho for me. I like the concept of it (what it means to be a hunter, what an hunter can do). I think I just have an obsession with tournaments, so I grew slightly bored of the idea after Gon got his licenses.

It's a great story though. I heard it got a little boring and repeative especially with the Spiders deal (though that might be the anime only) so yeah. I'll keep reading it for now. ^^

• I've read only 5 volumes of the manga, but I plan to read more.
  My friend has all of the episodes and I plan to at least watch the series.
  I've hear good and less than good things but...
  I don't usually trust other's opinions.

but he seem to have gone totally stucked in the area of the bugs

<spoiler＞Basically because he wanted to kill of certain characters in that arc but i doubt it will go well. And Who on earth will end up able to defeat the king? Because at Gon's level he can't, and Mr Old man head definitely cannot. Maybe daddy will pop up or maybe even the spider. But personally i feel this arc is abit off< end of spoiler>

I've watched all of the series and the OVA's. <3333 Hisoka is excellence.
I wrestled for the longest time over whether to believe Kurapica was a guy or a girl. xD I finally settled on guy, reluctantly. ><
I own about the first 7 volumes of the manga, I think. Up to the end of the Celestial Tower arc? I'd like to get the rest, even if I have seen it all already in the series and even though the manga's on long-term hiatus because of the writer's illness and things.

What? The manga is so excellent! I prefer the manga over the anime any time. x)
There are a few hilarious scenes in the manga that was cut out in the anime. [sobsob]

I didn't really find anything boring. Maybe for those who don't like all of the chatting, but I think it helps to give us an understanding as to why and what is happening. :'o
Even in the anime, I didn't notice the fillers. Thats how much I love it. XD <3

There aren't many Gon and Leorio (ohyes especially him) fans out there for the main characters.
I just adore Gon though. =D Some of my friend even say that I am similar to him. xD

I read the first 20 one and like that serie but it cames to a point were the storyline is getting random I think O.o The fact that the artist is sick doesn't really help. He only work with his wife know.
I really like the concept of the hunters and some characters are really interesting, but I won't buy the rest as the plot really got too different from the begginning

The beginning sets off for the rest of the story.

In my view, the beginning of the hunters is to just show how they get their license. It was great, but the rest of it is better.
I can't wait until Gon finds his father. =D What a happy father son moment.
But watch one of them die or something. D: </3
The HXH license thinger is the TV series and the rest are OVAs. =)

the next few volumes are all bugs bugs bugs

then he got his wife ( sailormoon) to help him at times
he is so random that he doesn't have assistants XP

I think Naoko takeushi help him doing the bg and all but that's oo much works for only two persons and they can only send the rough work to jump and get them inked later for the publishing.
I think he should have stop his manga when he had the occassion... during the 17-18 volumes, when they get out of the island >.< as he got sick at this time.

Aawww, Hunter X Hunter! I read this a long time ago, but still have fond memories of it. I stopped after the whole hot non-makeup Hisoka thing. I don't even know why. I'd like to pick it up again.

Are there translations of the more recent ones on the internet anywhere? I'd love to find out what happens, but I don't really have the money to go buy a bunch of manga and ship it over from Japan. u_u boo... So yeah, if there's a text translation anywhere, I'd love to see it.

Favorite characters... um... Gon and Killua. Killua more than Gon, really, but I like both of them. Also, Hisoka. He's such a dirty, dirty man. XD And that, for some reason, makes him attractive. Also, I liked Illumi and was sad not to see more of him.

I love how you can see little things in the backgrounds that relate to Sailor Moon or YYH... like at that one toy booth there were the little plushies of Hiei and the rabbit and stuff... That gets bonus points in my book.

hunterxhunter is awesome, the book is awesome and so is the anime.
i just wish the anime have another season, at the end of hunterxhunter GI final i thought the person that fishing was his dad but when i read the book, it turn out to be someone else, it was his dad student, awwwwww!! no fair, there should so totally be more episode of this. and i read online, there is only 24 volume online and that is not fair, i only see 17 volume on sell at the book store and like it only 24 volume.......!?!?!?!?!? it not even finish yet, how come it only 24 volume. there should me more, i been waiting for more chapter and volume to come out online or on the book shop but no, none have yet to come out and that is not fair =[
i really want to know more like does that dude really have his nen back and what happen to hisoka, does hisoka fight that dude. and why does killua dad let killua leave really. is the short dude with black hair killua brother since killua sister go to the spider thingy to get killua brother back and stuff you know. i also want to know all of the people who help Ging, Gon dad, make the greed island game, i mean that is so cool, i want too know all of the people that have help him making the game and stuff you know.
awww, hunterxhunter is so addicting just like onepiece and naruto and bleach you know. i just wish that they should be more hunterxhunter anime and manga especially anime, they can movie and fight and like yea, they should make more of hunter x hunter anime like season 2 or 3 or something since onepiece have over 300 episode, naruto have naruto shippuuden, bleach is still going. hunter x hunter need more episode and they should make more, i want they to make more hunter x hunter manga and anime TT_TT
wonder what the author and artist of hunter x hunter is doing, why havent they pulish more of hunter x hunter book i wonder. especially online , they need volume 25, i need that volume, i want to read more of it since like there is no more anime for it. TT_TT

Haven't finished the manga, but I've watched all of the Anime, and watched the musicals (which rock like so many socks.) My fav character are Hisoka and Gon who would be so cute together. Assuming of course that Gon got older first.
