I look like a purple zombie when I stay up for a day or more.
Maybe the zombies would mistake me for one of their own and not kill me. 8)

Oh I have this totaly planned out. A friend owns a cabin out in an undisclosed location somewhere in Alaska (like the Red vs. Blue PSA) that in the event of a breakout we're heading to. Not like when its on the news but when you start seeing isolated cases in like China or something. We're going to take all of our money out of savings, but supplies and head out. Its Alaska, for 9 months out of the year the zombies will be frozen! and we all know frozen zombies are much easier to kill. Our only real threat will be outsiders.

  One of my friends had a dream that zombies were attacking and ended up talking in his sleep during it... It lasted for almost an hour and we recorded him with the camcorder.
  
  It was funny cause it was like:
  "Noooo! Run Bambi (yes, the deer xD we'd watched the movie earlier)!" a little silence, "Don't worry Bambi, I'll save you!" a little more silence, "Alright! ... I didn't aim at the zombie" silence "This gun rocks!" ... "I hit it anyway!" ... "Ha ha... wait... oh crap... Run Bambi! It's coming!" ... "Don't leave me Bambi!" ... "Oh no! I missed! How?? I aimed this time!" a long bout of silence, "I knew you'd save me Share Bear!"
  
  Me and his roommate were both sitting there trying not to die of laughter and we thought it stopped then out comes the name of a Care Bear and we couldn't contain ourselves. We were laughing so loudly it woke him up. I seriously fell out of my chair and laid there laughing on the ground for like... 5 minutes.

Anyways, me and a few guys decided that should such an event arise, we gather at the video game store near my place. Next door is an outdoor/hiking shop, so we raid there first. Then we get in the video game store's back room, which has access to the roof. BAM. Instant safe zone. We'll be out of reach, armed with several copies of the Zombie Survival Guide, and packed with freshly freeze-dried camping and outdoors-y stuff. WE CAN'T LOSE.

Okay, first of all, if a zombie attack happens, which it will. But when it happens, you have to look at the zombies as every single type. Which means, you have to becareful about how you kill them and what you do with the bodies later.

So lets look at the different types...

There's the George A. Romero kind, which are the stereotypical kind. Slow moving, not extremely strong, and only go after human flesh. Which means, pets are safe. Well at least until the entire human race is gone. If you are scratched, or bitten by one of these, you will turn. If you die by natural causes, you will turn. But if you kill yourself, shoot yourself in the head. It's the only way not to become one. Now ways to kill this kind is simple.. Destroying the brain, so any sort of head shot. Burning them. Even electrocution.

Now there's the Return zombies, which are alot scarier and harder to kill. These buggers are runners, and they're strong. Not to mention, they're radioactive. So for killing these ones, you MUST electrocute them. Destroying the brain does not work. And never ever set these ones on fire, while they're moving or even after you've killed them. Because since they're radioactive, the fumes from them will cause acid rain, which of course will make more dead rise. Also you will turn if you inhale the gases from their bodies while you're burning them. So the only way to kill these ones, is to severely shock the nervous system, thus electrocution.

And then there are the Voodoo zombies, which are strictly brought back by magic. These ones are slow moving, because they technically do not have a will of their own. However, they are very strong. These zombies will kill whoever, or whatever the shaman controlling them, asks. The only way you can turn into one of these zombies, is if you die for whatever reason, and the shaman brings you back. These zombies actually wont eat you, however they will do whatever they can/need to, to kill you. As for how to kill these ones, preferably by killing the shaman. Other then that, dismemberment.

Something else about zombies. More particularly the Romero zombies. Over time they can remember certain skills they once had. So they could, and undoubtedly would pick up a weapon and use it against you.

Also, if you decide it's safer to stay in your own house. Or even if you find a safe building to stay in. Obviously border up the doors and windows. But also, keep quiet. Zombies can't smell you, they're not like vampires. They come for you, if you draw attention to yourself. Some people believe that zombies can smell fresh flesh, and that may be true. But only if you're a certain distance from them. So make sure you keep quiet, use very little light, and don't have any music or tv up loud.

Now with that said, what would I do if zombies attacked??

Well my first instinct would be to have my fiancé gather all the weapons we have here, while I find a safe place to keep my cats and leave them with lots of food. I'm not exactly worried about zombies getting them, but I don't exactly want the house door to be left open for some reason and they all get out.

The next thing would be to go to my grandparent's. I'd border up their doors and windows, while making sure they have enough food and water. Then I'd make sure they knew not to open the door to ANYONE who was bitten or scratched. As well as, to use very little electricity as possible and not to draw attention to their house in anyway.

Next would be to go with my fiancé as we find the rest of our friends, who also have hordes of weapons.

Once we've met up with them, our next plan will likely be to get as much food and water as possible, find the safest place for everyone to stay, and more then likely kill a few zombies.

Um... get myself a boat and some food and sail out to a island that has no zombies... or just sit in the deep water where the zombies can't get me muahaha... and throw rocks at them... :D

gah I would go to an army base that has lots of weapons and wait for them to climb over the fence then blow them apart

Grab supplies, clean water, tent, crowbar, etc., maybe try to find a water pump and other supplies if I have enough warning. Grab bicycle and throw it in back of car with dogs, take off towards mountain and climb too safety (though my dogs might hender this).

Another option is to grab all the same supplies and head off to a plateu where I'll get a nice view of zombies and they won't be able to climb it (assuming they're NOT Dawn of the Dead zombies).

I'm not really a fighter, so I'd be doing more running and scavenging, maybe trying to find a safe place.

Funny how I mentioned something like this a few days ago. . . xD I was always having dreams about zombie attacks and what I would in the scenario. We moved recently, though, so my entire plan has had to change. >.>
First off. While there were probably more people than zombies, I would gather some supplies that I would need. . . Possibly go with a group, so they can do most of the work and I can slack. After having food, some weapons, and things of that sort, I would leave the group. I would then migrate my way back to California, where I would find someone {a friend} whom I actually trusted. Together we would be UNSTOPPABLE. >D So him and I would use our wonder twin powers to kick zombie ass. Then we'd take a break and shoot at the zombie celebrities like in Dawn of the Dead {remake}. :'D After that. . . I don't know. I think we would probably migrate somewhere else, somewhere safer, and live a happy life. . . or something along those lines.
If not, I'd probably commit suicide/become a zombie early on.

In my zombie attack dreams, however, I always commit suicide or kill someone else. ;_;

You do? xD That's sad. . . In my dreams I would always lock myself in the garage or get on the roof with my cats and some food. O_o;

Yeah, I think it's an indicator I'm a real coward/bad person. I feel worse about the dreams where I kill somone else, because I could see myself being more likely to do that than commit suicide.

Just because you have dreams like that doesn't mean you're a bad person or a coward. :c It IS a zombie dream, after all. . . and if your dream was brought about/influenced by a zombie movie, lots of people in those sorts of movies end up killing people or themselves.

I'm sure i could find a secure enough area to house myself here, considering this /is/ a military base... Might be able to pawn off some weapons od massive damage to, from the frightened boys down in armaments. hehe~
