Halo 4~ It's so beautiful. x3 I'm also playing Assassin's Creed 3 on and off cause those damn guards piss me off. >C
And I randomly play Mario bros super star saga, Pokemon yellow, crystal, and emerald.
Last Story (wii), Xenoblade (wii), and Mabinogi (PC). I ♥ all of them.
Mabinogi is my everything. It's so complicated but it's my favorite game. Through a mildly-lengthy-to-explain rebirth system, there are no classes and no level cap. Yes, there are players technically above level 10,000. No, I am not one of them. I love that and the fact that equipment colors can be changed. So, seven people can wear the same thing and look different or just be different. The storyline's pretty generic- save a goddess here or there- but I like the lifestyle feel of it all. Definitely recommended for others~♫ n.n
Xenoblade's great. It's a really long storyline that's got so many side things to do that I don't feel compressed into a little mission box to do one thing and beat the game. The characters are nice, but the game world and music are what impress me the most. It's just so big and sounds so lovely. Worth a play for those who are committed to the end!
Omg. Last Story was THE BEST. I like the graphics and flashy skills that make you interact with the environment (jumping off of walls, peering around corners, casting in a straight line with no obstacles). The action combat is amazing, though. While the plot is totally predictable, the characters are AMAZING and I feel so attached to them. I wish the story were longer since it only took me ~22 hours (I dunno how long that is in comparison to other games but I blew through it two days after Christmas) or at least if it let me continue playing afterwards that could have been fixed. It was still fun until the end, my second favorite game <3 Non-Fangirl-Review
Oooh, I'm definitely gonna have to pick up Last Story. I knew it was gonna get localized but I just didn't know when.
and I don't know what to play right now.. the only game I've played recently was The Secret World, but other than that I've been busy lurking on Menewsha all day.
I think I just might get a game of Planescape: Torment going on my netbook; I bought it off Gog.com a few months ago but it just doesn't mod correctly on my current computer.
Dishonored, again! I just died for the first time last night after playing for 3 hours or so. Was expecting to appear magically at a checkpoint to continue my adventure, & was unpleasantly surprised to find that not to be the case. I kinda didn't realize that I had to manually save my game, see..
^ Ooh, that's the new one for the 3DS right?? I want to hear how you like it! I keep resisting buying a 3ds but it's getting harder and harder, lol.
I just picked up Dishonored for the 360. Gonna give it a whirl just as soon as I finish my coffee.
Yep, and I'm loving it. It's the best portable Harvest Moon I've ever played. Don't care about the 3D since it's not that special with this as far as I can see anyway, but it doesn't need that kind of 3D. The graphics in general are amazing for a portable Harvest Moon I think, and customizing my person for the first time felt awesome. But... yeah. it feels really involving with all the projects you end up doing and helping the town and stuff. The start is VERY slow though; you'll find yourself done with things by like 3pm in-game probably. But yeah. Is good~ ^^
Uhm... and as for an on topic answer to the thread... might try a bunch of random browser MMOs for the heck of it. City of Steam, and... the other two I forget the names of. Shoot.
Just finished Final Fantasy 4 after I haven't played it for two and a half years. I was stuck at the last battle with Zeromus but I decided to try and finish the game today only to beat him on the first try. o:
Poor Kain gets no love ever~ ;_;
Back to playing Maplestory yet again... sigh... will I ever get tired of that crazy mmorpg game?
@Risque - what system did you play Final Fantasy IV on? I have the full one with the after years and all on it as well on the PSP which is totally awesome. I take it that Kain Highwind is your favorite character.

I had it on GBA. I have after years on the Wii, which I don't think I will have time to go through anytime soon. getting it on the DS or on the PSP wasn't an option for me two years ago. But now that I have a choice I think that if I replayed it, it would be on the PSP since it has the interlude story.
SPOILERX
Kain is pretty cool. I think that he deserves better and that he shouldn't feel so bad for pissing me off and leaving like two times to help the enemy lol. It's not really his fault imo.

Interlude Story wasn't as interesting as I thought it would be but since I was a die hard Final Fantasy IV fan it was alright. I have the PSP version and just absolutely love it. I think they will probably redo Final Fantasy V for the PSP Vita probably... I don't have a VITA, nor do I plan on buying one anytime soon. I didn't buy a Wii U which I think now it's more or less just become a fad as it has some better features and better communication system versus the Nintendo Wii
They are already talking about the Microsoft Xbox 720 and the Playstation Four, but in Japan I was told by a friend that the english word four sounds like the word that the Japanese use for 'death' so they said in Japan they may call it something else. Thatwould be interesting if they decided to call it the Playstation Death LOL
Kain is one of those mysterious characters they don't give you a lot of Background too but I will tell you that by playing After Years you will get a bit more history about Kain's background and see another side to Kain you didn't know existed. It's really fascinated in my opinion. Of course you get to see Cedrick, Cecil and Rosa's son which is a fairly decent character and has some interesting development.
A lot of the old characters come back which you will appreciate. I like Prince Edge's Tale as he has four loyal ninjas that he trains which are each playable characters that are slightly a bit different in their own right and the banding system where you can have certain characters do attacks together just totally rocks!
I guess I could say my favorite of all character was Prince Edward because he is a Bard and that is my favorite type of class he is King Edward now and Harley his assistant is kind of cool too--she's playable too.
I am still at the end and have not beaten the game but been doing serious grinding for all characters lol.
I'm one of those people who was disappointed by the WiiU since it barely felt like an upgrade and yet it's supposed to be a next-gen console... I would definitely pick up a V remake though since I haven't played the original yet. I like the way that Square handles their remakes like for 3 and 4 and wouldn't mind 5 being done the same way. I don't have a 3DS or a Vita so I will be watching closely as to what games they are announcing.
That seems to be a thing in a lot Asian countries to have the number 4 sound close to death. I know lots of building in China don't have a 4th floor like how we don't have 13th floors in the US. xD
Oooh. I'm glad to see all the characters get decent screen time. That thing about Edge's band of ninjas sounds really cool. Sounds something like combo techs from Chrono Trigger. o:
Poor Edward. I hope he finds his peace in After Years. </3
Yea I think a Final Fantasy V remake done the same way would be awesome. They have Final Fantasy I, II, & IV now... wished they would do Final Fantasy III as well for the PSP :( It only makes sense that they do Final Fantasy V. I'm waiting for more price drops before I decide to invest in a PSP Vita. It looks good so far but I can't justify blowing one hundred and fifty dollars at the moment.
I'm one of those people too... I think the Wii U was more or less as Gamestop employees put it, just a fad. Now hardly anyone even really cares for it. If they really want to increase sales they should hurry up and import Dragon Quest X. A lot of people over this way seem to want it quickly, but I did noticed they moved a bit fast doing the characters because the hands look somewhat polygonal... unlike the style they did the game in Dragon Quest VIII looks... and it was done on the Playstation Two! Kind of disgracefully lazy if you ask me. I doubt I will get a Wii U though, not much reason too... next generation consoles come out pretty soon... next year maybe??? Who knows?
I didn't know that four sounded close to death until my friends over at Gamestop told me about that.
One thing that you will like about this game is that you can do duo..trio, quadro, to full entire group bands... so there are endless almost combinations you can use ... I know Edge and all of his Ninjas can do a full band together.
Edward is revisited by Tellah and Anna... his story is bittersweet, but he has someone else there for him now which is nice. Harley his secretary. I really Enjoyed Edward's tale as one of my favorites... don't want to ruin it for you.
5 is pretty much the only game left that they never really ported for did a remake for. It is inevitable at this point and just a matter of how and on what platform. :3
Same here.. there are great games being announced for the Vita but it's no reason to jump aboard so quickly when many games are just ports or remakes. Personally I think it needs more titles like Gravity Rush, new IPs that can promote the platform.
I think the Japanese are getting better about localizing their games though. In the last few years we got both Xenoblade and Last Story for the Wii so the chances of getting Dragon Quest is pretty high. Otherwise, just give everything to Atlus to publish.. omg they localize everything it seems.
Hmm.. I'm really liking the way the bands sounds. :3
I am very much looking forward to playing this game now. Yes, please don't ruin it for me.

Actually I have to correct you on one thing, Final Fantasy V was ported for the Playstation One, I have a copy of it, played it, and beat it. It was a long drawn out game which has its fun side to it as well. It's a lot like Final Fantasy III which has only been seen on the Nintendo DS so far. Not sure if it has an exclusive deal with Nintendo or not. A lot of localized Japanese games usually tend to be pretty awesome. The Japanese know how to make a good game and I like their attitude how on if something works or it's not broke, then don't fix it!
That's what happens when companies like Square Enix get suit and ties thinking they are going to shake things up and start something new but in fact they just mess everything up and create a huge mess leaving the next person the huge cleanup job. I don't like where the new Final Fantasies are going right now. I'm really disappointed in it myself. I think you will like Final Fantasy V, I was Final Fantasy III though... We will see Final Fantasy VI soon hopefully as well I really love that one.
Yes you will like the bands and the individual story lines of all the characters... so well done! It will be a game that will make the entire Final Fantasy IV series complete. I haven't actually beat it yet because it is super hard at the end...be prepared to do some serious grinding. I think there are over 20 characters you play so lots of grinding of +Level 75 material!
Oh yeah, it was part of the Anthology now that I think about it and looked it up. Sony still has Dissidia as an exclusive but the number of FF titles I see on Sony systems is dwindling. The only other FF games I think Square has plans to develop for Sony platforms is the 13 series and the port for 14... :x
I liked the Job systems in 3 and in Tactics. I've read elsewhere that 5 is somewhat similar with all the classes so I will probably like it. :3
The expectations with 6 will be high.. lots of people enjoyed it.
You mentioned in your other threads about your gripes with SquareEnix, and I'm with ya. *nod*
Haha, it's not an old school FF game without the tedious grind and level checking. I got through most of 4 with a fairly low level party. I didn't even do the Lunar dungeon that gets unlocked at the end of of the GBA release. And don't get me started on how I never used Edward throughout the game and now I gotta grind him up to usefulness. D:

I have the Anthology myself which also had another one of the Squaresoft's gems... Chrono Trigger. I really really loved that game and was flabberghasted when they added some stupid new content to the game that many people have pirated all over the net just for a few more tid bits... not worth it. They should have worked with those people who were trying to redo Chrono Trigger as Chrono Ressurection. Square Enix stopping them makes me wished I could walk in the CEOs and associates office and just literally beat them senseless until they beg for mercy. I say they deserve my foot in all of their faces. I know I'm not the only one who felt that way.
They are also doing Final Fantasy XV for the Playstation Three it looks like so far or it could end up being for four... not really sure but there is a trailer on youtube out there for it. It looks ok... but I smell another Final Fantasy XIII... the second one didn't get good reviews like the first and now everyone is already rolling their eyes at the final installment... oh the only one I care about coming out potentially is Final Fantasy Versus XIII--- different characters and storyline.
You should like part 5 its fun... 6 has big expectations for sure it was a great one as well. I loved Tactics too! Great game Ramza is the man!
There there, it's alright. We're all in this together. D': Only thing we can really do is boycott the games that Square releases. I know that there are certain cash grab releases I will not even consider buying.. I'm looking at you, iOS games. D:<
At this point they may as well develop it for four. I don't know when the reboot is scheduled for release but I hope that they take their time to actually release a working game and deliver on their promise of a console release. Final Fantasy 11 lasted for more than a decade so Square needs to own up to those expectations.
Versus is probably one of the last FFs I'm looking forward to, but we haven't seen any updates on that for years now. <_< Funny that no one really gives a damn about Lightning yet we get three whole games worth.. lolwtf.
Now should I wait for a remake of 5? Or play the Anthology release? Or maybe even play on the SNES?
I get a little passionate when it comes to Square Enix, I think they are a bunch of ses pool low lives trying to milk and squeeze the end of the tube of tooth paste for as much as they can get. They will add new content to some games and leave everything the same which is ok... but in reality they've actually added such miniscule stuff that it doesn't warrant buying the new game.
Final Fantasy XIV will fail again, and when it does I want to be there to laugh and say hahaha you EPIC FAIL!
Versus is the only game I care about so far... they say its coming out... but not when Kingdom Hearts Three has totally disappeared off the radar. They just suck all together, they need to fire the business department and let the program writers run the company again like Squaresoft once did.
Lightning is not that big of a deal to me... the game was way too linear for my liking. I have the second game and haven't even opened to play it yet! It's kind of sad actually... don't buy a final fantasy game when it comes out... because it will ultimately drop if you desire to play it. People get tired of the new ones fast it seems.
Not sure I will get a remake of Final Fantasy V, playing it once was enough for me. It wasn't one of my favorites personally--because you really only get five characters total. Now when they remake Final Fantasy VI, that will be a game i will have to break down and purchase. I can see them getting desperate enough to attempt to remake Final Fantasy VII and just completely butcher it... and that would bring the wrath of the hell fans on the and it would be the end of Square Enix.
Ramza is the man... I liked Delita, but he got too greedy at the end. I hated what happened to Teta, so tragic.
@ Kole: Damn right you should be passionate. Square is a prime example of what CEOs and Boardrooms do to gaming. It's sad cause it's happening everywhere, East and West. ):
No Kingdom Hearts three, but here, have another spinoff!! D:<
I think that the whole story of Delita is just really tragic but poetic. You have Ramza who's a badass and all, but then here's Delita who you want to root for, but never know for sure if he's good or bad, and then you find out his grand scheme and he goes around being a manipulative and greedy jerk.. and even in the end you still can't blame him too much.
