Did you do this in Photoshop? I'd use layers so you don't have that little bit of white around the lineart when you colour. By having the lineart layer above the colour layer, you can avoid that. I'd also add more highlights to the skin and clothes, and use more shades than just one.

As mentioned before, practice makes perfect!
