I keep telling myself that when I get just a little better at Japanese, sometime when I go up to Mitsuwa (basically a Japanese marketplace, they have a bookstore and everything), I'll get myself some manga from there that I haven't seen in English and read it~
That time will come soon enough, though, because I've been advancing little by little, and now that summer has come it'll be easier for me to learn more Japanese during the time when I'm not working. ^^
At Mitsuwa, manga is only about 4 dollars a volume, so I get to stock up every time I'm there once I'm more fluent in the language. xP

I have a Japanese copy of the only Sailor Moon manga that wasn't translated basically because it wasn't translated at the time I had bought it; it might have been translated since then but I'm honestly not sure. I already read scanlations of it, so I know the story, but I wanted a copy of my own. I also bought the first four books of Trinity Blood before it was licensed in the US, because I was impatient and a vendor at Otakon had it.
Both of those though were things I'd already read the stories of online and wanted more or less to have, as I don't read Japanese and the only friend I have who does is too busy doing her own translations to translate for me. Otherwise, I see it like this, I don't have the money for all the manga I can not only enjoy the art but also read, so I really don't have the money for stuff I can only enjoy the art of.

I own some Arslan Senki and Hikaru no Go volumes in Japanese.
I used to have some really obscure Japanese manga I bought because I liked the art. I sold them a while ago because I needed money. I kind of regret it. A couple were Haruka naru toki no naka de (which is ironically being published in Shojo Beat now, lol), Angeqique, some shojo manga about a girl that dates a j-rocker, and some fantasy/scifi stuff.

I have +Anima volumes 1 and 2, One Piece volume 1, several Harry Potter doujinshi, and ... I'm ashamed to admit it... several volumes of Naruto. Am I the only one who still likes the Japanese version better, even though I can't understand it?

Plus some D.Gray-Man doujinshi.

I have a few issues of Inuyasha and the first book of Sailor Moon (the second printing, not the original) in Japanese.
My grandparents came back from a visit to Japan with the Inuyasha books for me and I had bought the Sailor Moon one because I lent a friend of mine my english book one and never got it back. She changed schools so I kind of gave up hope and since Sailor Moon is no longer licensed in the US I decided to get a Japanese version ^^ I have all the others, and felt really bad that I was missing book 1. I am hoping to get the rest in Japanese next convention I go to and then being able to read them later on.

When I went to Japan in the summer of 2005. I was in a train station waiting for the train to take us to Tokyo, I spotted the FullMetal Alchemist Vol.1. I was so excited that I saw it, but then the train pulled up. I promised myself to get that book. So the next day, my friend went out, so I went to the train station by myself. I remember the location of the book. Once I got there, I picked it up and headed back to the hotel. I also picked up vol. 50 of Case Closed.

Mhmm. I got two-ish actually.
One is love hina, which my brother 'kindly' gave it to me because he no longer wants it. I cannot understand it one bit except for a bit of the kanji/s here and there.
Then, there's Doraemon. This I understand. My brother's host mother in japan got it for my as part of my birth day present. It's one of those mangas that's written in japanese then will small subs on the side of the frame with english translation.
THEN.There's the hungry caterpillar which is completely in japanese. I don't think it's a manga but meeeh. I understand it because I brought it to my japanese class and showed it to my teacher, she then insisted that we would all read it in class togehter AND there was alot of pictures in it, ^ o ^ so it was pretty easy to understand. <33
I think that's everything. Gah. Mangas are so expensive here. ; A ;

I spent way too much on Japanese manga and doujinshi back when I became interested in anime. But when Tokyo Pop (Mixx Pocket Manga) began actually printing manga and got beyond like eight series I stopped buying anything common place. I guess the novelty wears off after awhile. I do have Kizuna and Fruits Basket but it's actually getting harder to find popular japanese manga at cons and I'm usually first or second into the dealers room... I just think big business and popularity are pushing out the dealers that have the rare goods.

Manga in Japanese are so much cuter than manga in English. I have a Bobobo manga in Japanese and the Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories one. I also have some doujinshi I picked up at a con.

I don't own any, I think it seems just a little pointless considering I can't read any form of Japanese. I guess though, If I did go to Japan I might consider buying a volume of something If I've never seen/herd of it and if I liked the art.
