I don't actually own it, but I was awarded partial custody of a copy of Dorobou to Keiji xD. It's an amazing BL manga I read scanlated and recommended to a friend; she also loved it. We both really wanted a real copy, and we found the only site on the internet that it was available on, and she ordered one, which just happened to be the last copy. Recently she decided it was going to come live with me, because it was buried beneath a huge stack of other manga and feeling neglected. So, until further notice, I own it.

My friend got me the first two volumes of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, hardback, in Japanese.
I can read the occasional hiragana, and some random kanji, but I couldn't read an entire sentence.

I have some manga in Japanese.

All 15 volumes of Spiral: Bonds of Reasoning and the first two volumes of Spiral Alive are in Japanese. I bought them knowing that they would never come to the United States...only for Spiral: Bonds of Reasoning to actually be picked up in the US. It was released this month. I'm excited. :D

The others I have are Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, Star Ocean: Blue Sphere, and Loveless (volumes 1-7). The two SO series are both complete.

I also own some 4koma stuff, video game related, and some artbooks.

Lol it is gonna come out though it got licensed months ago now, the anime was licensed ages ago to so i dont see why not the manga wouldent of. ^^

I'd be more worried about stuff like hentai, visual novels etc not to be licensed (though even now they are starting to license visual novels.)

It must of been so nice for you ^-^ *did you read my abouve post to? coincedence or what :P *

*edit* what is Spiral Alive? *goes to check it out*

I have the Shadow Hearts comic anthology in Japanese, and that's pretty much it.

Even though I didn't know much Japanese when I got it, it was still hilarious to read, you can tell a lot of the gags by the expressions on people's faces.

I have Vol. 2 of Urusei Yatsura, in Japanese. My sister got it for me on her trip to Japan. I'm not very good at Japanese, but I'm pretty good with hiragana... and there's always my dictionary when I get stuck. I also have one volume of Ribon shoujo... I don't know what to call it. And maybe you could count my picture version of Urashima Taro, but I'm not sure.

Dise has some. :3 She has Death Note: How to Read 13 in Japanese, and is slowly but steadily working her way through it. XD I've actually translated most of Light Yagami's profile (...the first two pages of the book. Don't laugh!) since I got it (in July)

*pathetic*

But I really want to get the rest of the Death Note series with the little models. Mostly for the little models, rather than the reading/learning Japanese material.

Yes yes yes.

Heroic Legend of Arislan (can't get it in English, would die to have it translated-- my kanji sucks)

WISH (because the English version is AWFUL)

Yami no Matsuei (because having two English copies plus two different copies of the anime wasn't enough for me lol)

Naruto (it was a gift and the official translations make me cringe)

Heart of Thomas/ Toma no Shinzou (I love Moto Hagio, really)

Marginal (more Moto Hagio love)

Zeus (adore the art in this, want to get Ludwig!)

White Rose Maria (it's like Ranma on crack! gay crack!)

Earthian (I loves me some Yun Kouga)

Rorakaiza? (haven't figured out the title yet, more Yun Kouga love)

The Moon is Made of Green Cheese (Harry Potter doujin full of gorgeous art and Buckbeak goodness)

As well as varying doujinshi... the most obscure of which are from MaLoki. XD!!

Yeah I'm actually getting the first volume in English today. But the reason I didn't think it was going to come out was that it was licensed almost a year after the anime came out in English, by Toykopop, and Square Enix doesn't like TP, so they got into a legal battle...and TP dropped the license. Square Enix owns Spiral by the way.

So I didn't think it'd come out, until a few months ago it was announced that Yen Press had picked it up. :)

Spiral Alive is the prequel for Spiral, but it's still being serialized in Squeenix's Shonen GanGan magazine. I have seven or eight of those magazines around. They're huge, like phone book sized, and those are also in Japanese.

That is awesome that you posted about Spiral! I missed that originally. T_T So you're a fan of Spiral too? :)

I own the Naruto and Sailor Moon volumes in Japanese!
Sadly I have to read the translation online but it's cheaper than paying $10 each.

I have a few that I picked up fairly cheap at anime conventions, simply for fun, and practice if I ever get around to learning Japanese. xP So, no I don't know what they say. ^^

I picked up a set of yaoi called Ludwig the second in Japanese since the cover art was so amazing. Luckily at the last convention I went to I found an english copy of the first book. Oddly the original japanese volume is so much smaller- they made the english version seen thicker and the panels are blown up so I'm checking for flaws in the art. But its nice to know what the characters are saying now.

My brother who now lives in Japan as an English teacher bought several manga for me he found at various thrift shops. I have most of the Sailor Moon series, Vol one of xxxHolic, vol 1 & 2 of Bleach, the film comics for Princess Mononoke (Mononoke Hime), um what else..hmm maybe that was it. I know he bought my sister Code Name Sailor V though can't recall if he got a set for myself. My sister lives several states away so borrowing them isn't that realistic.

my family has a close family friend...and she's been to Japan on business, and she got me a volume of InuYasha, Hellsing, and a couple volumes of Cardcaptor Sakura. I'm taking Japanese, so I'm going to try and see if I can understand any of what's written in the original Japanese.

It always helps to know someone who lives there :D
I wish I could have taken Japanese in school but the only language that was offered was Spanish. I wasn't interested and figured it would be too hard so I took more art classes. :p
I've been struggling to teach my self the language on and off for the past several years.
