I've played all 4 games and I've loved them all.
Although I do believe that Apollo Justice needed a bit more 'oomph'. The last case wasn't as epic as the last 3 games were. And I miss that magnatama. And it was a bit depressing to see Phoenix like that.
I'm a quite frequent member on a Phoenix Wright forum, Court Records forums. Actually, my signature links to my profile on there.
And I'm sure the site has been mentioned, but Court Records is quite a good fan site. And I still can't wait for GS5 and Gyakuten NOT Saiban. :D
One of my favorite things were the story lines. And I think that it's quite hilarious. I love corny jokes. And all the characters are just adorable <3
Phoenix, Edgeworth, Gumshoe, Maya, Pearls, Mia, the Judge, and all the rest of them.

I've only played the first so far but I LOVED it. To bits. I think Edgeworth is so cute XD Especially with Phoenix ^.~ I can't wait to get my hands on the other games. And nothing beats shouting out "OBJECTION!" in a silent room. Try it. Much fun to be had.

I've heard such good things and I keep wanting to pick these up, but they have so few cases that I'm afraid they're really short, and that there isn't much replay value. Roughly how long are they?

Ooooh! I love the Gyakuten Saiban series so much! :3 They're so much fun to play.
And to Dayla, don't be misled by the amount of cases. Each case is relatively long in essence, except the first ones. Those usually serve as tutorials, and are not meant to be long. But the rest you have the investigation sections and the trial ones. For some reason I love doing the investigation parts, they're lots of fun. Trial is fun too don't get me wrong, but getting to talk to people is a blast. As long as everything is done scientifically. ;D
Gosh where to begin? I've played all four games, and I'm looking forward to all future installments to come. Especially the Edgeworth game! I'm super excited about that! Edgey is one of my favorite characters, so when I found out there was to be a game with him as the main character... I flipped! xD
Although, no matter what Maya will always be my favorite character, followed by Larry. Then of course Feenie and Edgey. I also adore Pearl. D: Okay, yes I love just about everyone! Even Hotti! :o All the characters are so loveable, it's hard to hate any of them... even the ones that are supposed to be bad. :| They all have their distinct qualities.
Apollo Justice was a great game as well. Even if many die hard fans were a bit disappointed. I don't blame them really. It was real weird playing at first... I didn't think Apollo was going to grow on me, but I think he's just precious! So is Trucy! But enough of that, I don't want to spoil anything for anyone.
It was so hard for me to get my hands on the first game. It's real difficult to find, unless you get it online. Sometimes they sell it for ridiculous prices. Thankfully I got mine at a gamestop, but I still would like to get the box to it someday. D: Justice for All I got online, because I couldn't find it anywhere.
Surprisingly enough the first game I bought was Trials And Tribulations, but I only played the first trial. Then I realized that I wanted to get the rest and play them in order so I wouldn't be completely lost. >.>;
Anyways, I have a journal for my Gyakuten Saiban prompts and discussions. It's magicalpanties @ LJ.com if anyone is interested. :)
All in all, these are such great games! I recommend them to everyone! They're fun and challenging. I'm working on these notebooks, writing down memorable quotes and such. So far I'm on the third game, and my second notebook. : x Hey, it's something to keep me busier in my spare time.

I roleplay some Phoenix Wright charecters on other websites. That said, if you need somebody to trash-talk the games, i'm the first to critise.
I don't know. I'm really quite love-hate with Phoenix Wright games. I love the chrarecters. I hate pretty much everything else.
I beat every game in the series except for Trials and Tribulations in less than 24 hours. It took so long with Trials and Tribulations because I lost my game cart. But then found it agian.
Also, gamers prior to Apollo Justice have graphics and sound that are so underwhelming for DS hardware. I know they are ports of Japenese GBA games. That explains the underwhelmingness.
And why must every case be a murder? I adore The Stolen Turnabout, the first half at least, it proves there can be a good PW case without somebody dying.
But yeah. I really love those charecters. I replay every game once after beating it, to examine every object and such. Some of the game's funniest moments come from doing that.
I've also beaten the first game in french. I... don't speak french.

Haha that's awesome that you beat the first game in French Ryu-Tan! xD And not even knowing the language! ;D
I do agree on some things though. After playing four games, there haven't been much changes in the style. I'm not complaining, because frankly I'm easy to please. Although, there are some aspects that would be great to experiment with.
Apollo Justice has a couple of new features for the DS, but there could've been even more. But that's just wishful thinking.
I too feel that it would be nice if it weren't murder cases all the time. All these people dying every case... it gets rather dreary. D:
It's fun to replay the games to check every little nook and cranny that wasn't examined prior! It is true that the best jokes are hidden in random objects. I mean whenever you examine stuff in Phoenix's office, I get such a laugh. Especially examining Charley during every case. xDD

I knew the metric system. That helped? :?:
We'll have to go complain to Capcom about that! Or maybe that Miles Edgeworth: Perfect Prosecutor game will have the variations /we/ need. Or Capcom could be milking the Phoenix Wright cash-cow with that one. Or maybe both.
You can have both at once, right?
Apollo Justice... Rise from the Ashes... Honestly, I preferred the way Rise from the Ashes handled the touchscreen better.
Evidence seemed to have so many more places to inspect in Rise from the Ashes than in Apollo Justice. I'm aware Apollo Justice had much more evidence that needed dialouge for inspecting, but i'm a fuddy duddy who demands quality and quantity. Also: Its hard to select or even notice a toeprint inside a sandel. Very hard.
The video from Rise from the Ashes was much easier to navigate than the video from Turnabout Seranade. And you actually had to point out things in the video in Rise from the Ashes.
Apollo Justice is the best game in the series, in my opinion. But Rise from the Ashes is a very well-done case.
Now, how did I go on that tangent...
Also, its kinda morbid. Every case, some (fictional) person dies for your entertainment. Its funny in a way, but 'funny creepy' rather than 'lol funny'.
Charley is awesome. I love the way the descriptions change in every case. I'm not a big fan of the re-occuring step ladder arguments, but oh well.
I'm one for presenting random profiles to people, and seeing how they react. Its funny in the Stolen Turnabout (again with that case!) when you can present Phoenix's profile to everyone. I wish you could do that in every case.
Also, wish you could present profiles to random people in Apollo Justice and the first Phoenix Wright game. :(

You've pretty much summed up almost everything I wanted to say about this series, except better and in ultra hot pink! XDD
I've played all four games too, except I started with Justice for All first. Though the second game could be considered the black sheep of the entire series because it has only four cases compared to the five in others and it "hardly" contributed anything to the main plot, JFA has a special place in my heart. =B
I LOVE Apollo Justice! I know a lot of PW fans are refusing to play the new ones because Phoenix is no longer the main character, I urge you all to do so! You don't stop playing a series just because the protagonist changed! T_T
In any case, my favorite characters would have to be Trucy and Apollo. I LOVE LUKE ATMEY TOO. XD My favorite pairing would ahve to be Larry/Maya, though. Does anyone even THINK about that pairing? -oddball-

From what I've played of them, I love the games. :). I'm on case 3 of the first one right now, and case 3 of the second one. (I bought part 2 before part one, because I couldn't find a copy of part one until recently. :(.)
I've generally liked all of the cases so far- except case 2 of part 2(It was so ANNOYING), and case 3 of part 1.(I HATE Wendy Oldbag. >_<;.)
As for favorite cases, I liked case 2 of part 1(seeing April May and Red White get thrown in jail was just so rewarding. XD), and I DID like the plot of case 2 in the second game- but I HATED finding the evidence. >_<;.
Now, as for favorite characters..
Hands down, my favorite is Miles Edgeworth. I love his personality, and only look forward to seeing more of him. <3
I also like Dick Gumshoe, but I wish that he's stop kissing all of the prosecution's behinds, no matter who it is.(I never have understood why he wants to help Franziska. >_<;. Unlike Edgeworth, she's not even a friend of his. One would think he'd want to help Phoenix, but nope. >_<;. And she treats him like crap, too.)
As for favorite pairings, I only have one- Phoenix and Maya. XD. I wish I could find one for Edgeworth- but there's no girl that suits him. And I'd feel horrible if I paired him with Franziska. :(. So poor Edgeworth is stuck being single until the game's creators make a girl that suits him.
I'm also REALLY looking forward to the game that stars Edgeworth. <3. I can't wait until it comes out. :D.
