I'm thinking of making some bread tomorrow, i've got some dried yeast and sunflower and sesame seeds to put in it, not made any for years but it was always edible whenever i did, and it will make the place smell nice even if it turns out like a house brick

I wish I could add grass to my house using PhotoShop and then every time the scorching desert sun turned it all brown and yucky I could just color it again.

I made spag bol, it is Morgan's favourite (so she said it was my dad's favourite and it was dad's birthday (he is 71. So six of us had spag bol and home made garlic bread and Heather had baked potato with tuna mayo and garlic bread as she hates mince. I then had a birthday cake for my dad and we all sung happy birthday to him and he cried. I hope it was tears off happiness. :?:

My Nan makes the nicest spag bol i've ever tasted, i've never been able to get mine as rich and meaty as she managed. she probably fried the meat in lard or something disgusting :roll:

Kids get a cake every year, sometimes they get two, as if their birthday is midweek I have one for thier birthday and one for the day of their party. I had a sneaky plan, Simon is off work next week (unexpected leave) so I am going to invite the family for a BBQ on tuesday and have a cake then have another BBQ on saturday and invite Heather's friends. Hopefully her dad won't be able to make tuesdays (I don't feel comfertable with them around) and I am not inviting them to the saturday one. It is for Heather and her friends alone. My spag bol is lovely even if I do say so myself. I don't use that dolmio rubbish I make my own sauce from scratch

I used to use 2 tins of tomatoes, onion and tomato puree, and loads of garlic and a stock cube and black pepper, and it wasn't bad, but lacked depth.
not made anything like that in ages though because it's just too much fuss when you're only cooking for yourself. Plus i'd eat way too much of it at once, and i like to smother spag bol in fresh parmesan too :oops:

My Mum might suprise me yet, you never know..but i'd imagine the next cake i shall see will be for my 40th :| though i didn't get one for my 30th so i could be wrong..

Spag bol (my own receipe so you won't find this in a cook book) one pyrex jug just add black pepper garlic granuals (cos I am lazy) mixed herbs (as much as you fancy) a full tube of tomato puree a full table spoon of green petso. paramzan cheeese to the jug. Add boiled water and mix. Brown mince, just before the mince is cooked add the onions then add an oxo cube. and tin of tomatoes. more paramazan cheese mix in well then pour over the jug of sauce, add more water to the jug to clear any paste sticking too it, and add that, cook on low for an hour add mushrooms and two bay leaves (remember to take the bay leaves out before serving) then simmer with the lid on for 2 hours. When I lived myself I used to make enough to freeze and when I came home from work it was ten mins to cook the spaghetti

That sounds really good. I will have to try it sometime, although I am not sure what mince is but I guess hamburger would do just as well. :)

Mince is beef that has been put through a mincer. so it is easier to cook.
