I'm okay just went to talk to the Master Gardener at the University Extension. What kind of tea? I had a good one last night that lasted 4 pages before it fell off the first page.

Okay.No but I plant things to eat during the Summer. Usually tomatoes, apples, peaches, cherries, peppers, potatoes( last year),and other fruits&vegetables. You might check at your local College.

there is a horticultural college about 15 miles away actually, as this is a rural area, but i think it's more for learning how to be a farmer, not something i'd enjoy!

i'm growing things this year 8) i have a big plant stand in my kitchen window, 9 feet of space, i plants some lemon pips in January, i now have 5 seedlings :D i'm a proud Mummy..
i have some ginger that i'm going to grow too, there are sprouts on the'hand' i just need to introduce them to some compost, and i shall grow cut and come again salad and maybe trailing tomatoes if my Mum buys the plants! 8)

i must at least give you kudos for using irony is the correct gashion.

not that I doubt the literacy on menewsha, but the misuse of such words as "irony" and "literally" is one of my pet peeves.

^^' Well I'm glad I got it right. I didn't know I could use it wrong. I say it alot cause it happens alot. And I never use "literally".
I'm fairly proud of Menewsha people, so many people actually spell things out. It's very nice.

Just passing through and wanted to say hello to everyone! I am also proud that I have seen very little chat speak and everyone seems very literate and nice.

I've never had twining. What is that?

I don't really get a bunch of tea. I have an easier time getting coffee. And I tend to like that more. ^^'

YAY!! People have been visiting me 8) i hope you left me some cake..

Jaz i took Chai to work in my flask today! i've never tried oolong tea, i don't think i've even seen it over here!is it made with tea? it is isn't it..i have a mental twinge saying it's a form of black tea, and is pronounced strangely..
i like rooibos or redbush tea, that's completely herbal and caffeine free, i tried it for the first time last year and i loved it! the longer you brew it for the better it is too, so i just leave the bag floating in the mug while i drink it :)
My sister had jasmine tea in a chinese restaurant, it was rather nice! with a pleasing, slightly earthy scent, i prefered that to the green tea that i've tried, i really want to like that, but it's a losing battle for me :(

and i don't think i'll be getting to 100 gold today! not even got 30 yet and it's past my bedtime

Nice mule Jurupamae! Sparmy.. you can get a pretty good pirate outfit going on here too! have fun with that 8)

Yuki i'm glad that you and Raver have found each other *giggles*

Shishunki i'm just glad that you come back! i was afraid when i started this thread up that it would disappear with no posts at all..

i planted some ginger sprouts today, to keep my lemon seedlings company, i'll be able to harvest my own cold remedies in 20 years or so  along with my chili plant that i repotted, i have an explosive little garden growing in my kitchen window, maybe i should try and grow some wasabi!!

according to wikipedia:

Quote:
Oolong (Chinese: 烏龍; pinyin: wūlóng) is a traditional Chinese type of tea somewhere in between green and black in oxidation, ranging from 10% to 70% oxidation[1]. In Chinese tea culture, semi-oxidized oolong teas are collectively grouped as qingcha (青茶, literally: blue-green tea)[2]. It has a taste more akin to green tea than to black tea: it lacks the rosy, sweet aroma of black tea but it does not have the stridently grassy vegetal notes that typify green tea. The best Oolong has a nuanced flavor profile. It is commonly brewed to be strong, with the bitterness leaving a sweet and pleasent aftertaste. Oolongs produced in the Wuyi Mountains of Fujian Province and in the Central Mountains of Taiwan, are world famous.

it tastes very similar to jasmine tea imho. you'd prolly like it. it's what most chinese restaurants around me serve as hot tea.

i'm totally gonna have to try redbush tea someday.

and now i'm off to make me a nice cup of chai *yum* i still have some loose left over from the xmas exchange :D
