I always scrape the frosting off of cakes and cupcakes, especially if it is that buttercream frosting. Gross.

mmmmmmmm I had some cake this weekend at a tailgate party and OMG it was the kind with the thick layer of buttercream frosting. I only eat it once or twice a year TOPS, so of course I gobbled down as much as I could muster. Which really wasn't very much at all, but what a treat!

Yea, it's too sweet for me, especially when there is about an inch and a half of frosting. I like the cool whip type frosting though. That's good stuff.

I'm not a fan of frosting, i adore carrot cake but tend to scrape the frosting off those as the heavy sickliness spoils it in my opinion.
I'd much rather have fresh cream in a cake than sugary goop.

Again they're not a British thing, I think i'd have big trouble eating one actually, as i'm the slowest ice cream eater on the planet, and it would melt everywhere and make a frightful mess :lol:

I bought one of these ice cream sandwich makers from The Pampered Chef. I can stuff whatever kind of ice cream between two cookies of my choice and I'm all set. Wonderful stuff.

  I like the cones the best, if you finish the top (and I usually do before it melts all over the place), the bottom part doesn't fall out and I can slowly enjoy it.

I do like American cookies. Very occasionally, I will allow myself to buy a bag of the instore baked chocolate chip cookies from the supermarket. Only chocolate chip mind, or maybe doudle chocolate if there's nothing else, none of the lame stuff with candy in it and so on, or poncey ones like white chocolate and macadamia nut, they're a waste of money I think. I want that soft, yielding moistness and chocolate chips!
Damn, might just have to buy some tomorrow now!

I love chocolate chip cookies and I like sugar cookies without the frosting. I think I ate too many with frosting and made myself sick. My boss will eat frosting out of the can...the cheap frosting that is just sugar and a smidge of butter for consistency.

Juru is your boss male? So many men seem quite happy to overdose on sugar, my ex was terrible with the horribly sickly stuff that he'd eat by the vat load

while I enjoy cake and dessert sometimes I'm generally far more tempted by savoury goodies, especially cheesy stuff.

He is indeed. He is also a race car driver of some sort, although what kind exactly is completely lost of me. He likes to make analogies based on racing and I stop listening. Ahh.. I love corporate America :lol:
