She sat and debated whether she should follow the poor sap or let him walk away and out of sight. Then her wings would return and her blood would flow normally, nothing to upset the heart than to mysteriously take away limbs. She needed some fresher air too, if she headed into the park perhaps she could flex her wings and wriggle her talons a bit, enjoy the normalcy. But on the other side there was keeping an eye on Mr. Fuddlebuddim, as per Randy’s orders. Perhaps she could do both, magic wore her out quickly and she had already preformed a simple charm to locate him once, she could do it again, or when she had the time, make a more permanent one.

“That settles it!” she stood up, grabbed her coat and quickly put it on incase Melvin left so soon. “Rain, Marcella. I’m heading into the park, need to stretch I need a bit of normal.” She turned around to face them with a grin on her face. “Why not join me and bring the camera? We can make some authentically grainy “big foot” pictures. Why come to think of it, doesn’t Randy have an autographed picture of his?”

Rainbow turned her head back and forth, from the boys, to the girls, to the boys, back to the girls, even while Sky was speaking to her and Marcella. Finally, as the guys disappeared from her sight and she felt her empathy oozing back into her consciousness, she decided to go with Sky. "Okay, Sky!" she smiled and scooped up the camera, then straightened up and tilted her head to the side. "Good question, I never asked her. Maybe I'll remember to when we get home, eh? Anyway! Onwards to the park!" she crowed, pointing in the direction of the park and skipping towards it merrily, arm still raised and pointed at the park not far away.

Just a few steps forward, and she was cartwheeling instead of skipping, cheering and singing all the way. She'd officially lost it.

"Well, youngster, you are a bit of a thick skull. You gotta take your time and learn from this old demon, got it?" Law grinned, carrying on, once they were out of range of melvins abilities they could more easily move by jumping up stairwells and across rooftops, or atleast thats the way Law liked it, humans loooked down too much and the ones who looked up would never be believed.
Within about twenty minutes they reached the docks and had stopped behind the old Warehouse.
Law pulled his gun out, taking off the safety and cocking it, there was a noise coming from inside the warehouse but it was mostly indistinct, they'd covered pretty well, but the shrill screams of a girl were enough to boil the demons blood,
"Well waddya know, they've got a girl captive in there, wonder if theres more?" Law grinned, that same darkness from before taking over, "You take the lowroad? I'll cover you from above on any rafters or walkways they may have. I'd say making your own entrance a few yards down will be a good idea..."

Skyler followed Rain into the forest, her cartwheel and flips made colorful arcs in the night’s gloom. Grass ripped and tore under her taloned feet, she was glad they were back, but she made sure that the boots Rowen had gave her were still with her too. No sense losing a good pair f shoes, especially if they weren’t hers. A couple of feathers drifted out from the bottom of her jacket, the stress was causing her to molt. But at least she wasn’t cooped up at the sect house again. There was only so much she could do there; she couldn’t leave the house in case someone was paying too close attention.

Once well into the wooded lot she took her jacket off, her wings looked a mess since this morning. Skyler flapped them a bit, sending trash scattering.
“Hey Rainbow!” she yelled to her friend “feels nice to get out every once in a while, eh?”

Rowen rolled his eyes as Law called him a 'youngster'. He leaned over in order to get a good look at the side of the building,
"If you follow the fire escape ladder up there should be a rusted hole in the roof you could fit through, although it's only rafters up there and I don't know how sturdy they are now-a-days," Rowen commented, "but I'm pretty sure they could hold your weight." He suddenly sighed,
"I can't just go walking through the front door, I'll end up like swiss cheese," he ran a hand down his face,"why do you constantly drag me into these things?" rowen questioned, more to himself than Law. He used to be a reckless trouble maker but now he was cautious of every step he took.
"And do me a favor, don't kill anyone, the last thing I need is Randy on both our cases about a few random bodies. And how are we supposed to save the 'hostages' without them running off and telling everyone about what they saw? " He groaned, "why is everything so complicated?"

Dalal seemed to melt into the shadows as the woman who was in charge of the sect turned to talk to the new... THING that was approaching. So she had information about this business. Now she would just have to observe the goings-on for a while, then conveniently reappear when they needed help. Or something. Or even not reappear, though, it would most likely be helpful to have them on her side, especially in the beginning. But anyway...

She seemed to melt into the shadows, then quickly ran off in the exact opposite direction from the group, towards where she knew she could fetch a cab. She would monitor the group, and once she found the correct time, she would reappear to them. Hopefully, it would all turn out for the better.

[[Sorry about length. I couldn't think of much else to say; my brain's fried. Also... With that, I shall leave you guys (;-;!) until the 12th or 13th of August. ;-;]]

Melvin walked along the deserted streets in silence. He wanted very badly to go home and be away from all this sect nonsense. His boss would maim him financially if he did so. "This whole day sucks worse than the Buffy spin-off series Angel." He cried into the night. His words echoed off the walls of the alley, but no one returned them. He hunched his shoulders and continued walking to his apartment.

"Ok, ok. I'll cause trouble some other night-" Cheshire's fur suddenly stood on end. He looked around then said to the leader of the sect "Does something seem odd to you? There's a really disturbing smell... You mihgt not be able to sense it though." Cheshire pulled off his gloves and put them in his pocket. Letting his hook-like claws come out. (He is a cat demon after all.) He scrunched up his nose. "Ugh, what is that?"

"In this end of town? Could be a bum," said Randy without really thinking, that was, until she caught a whiff of it herself and cringed, clamping a hand over her nose. "Oh, my God... That's disgusting..." She didn't know what that smell was, but, when she turned in near slow motion when she heard something cracking, she sort of wished she didn't. Before her and the cat demon stood what can only be described as goo. It stood at about fifteen feet when at it's tallest, and would ooze forward, flattening out, and then pulling it's self back up to it's full height. It had no face or distinguishing features, it was just a sort of grey-ish transparent green. You could see things stuck inside of it, mail boxes, leaves, trash, a puppy, and a many other such things.

Randy had never seen anything like it before. Or smelt anything like it, before, either. It smelt like the sewers. "The city really needs a better sewage treatment facility..." she said more to herself then the cat demon beside her as she stared up at the monster which oozed it's way closer to them. She thrust out her palm, sending a searing wave of fire up her arm and out of her hand. She had no fingerprints on that hand for a reason. It hit the goo, which reared back some before crashing forward, and just seeming angry. Or, as angry as goo can seem. The fire didn't even really phase it. There was about a second where Randy stared at the goo and considered trying another type of magic, but, her arm ached from that small fire spell. Perhaps she hadn't let Rowen snack on her after all.

So, being a smart woman, she did the only logical thing. Grabbed the cat demon by his fancy suit sleeve and shouted "Run!" before hightailing it out of there, trying to drag him with her. Maybe water magic would work better on it? Or a really big net… Randy wasn't willing to use a large scale magical attack just yet. Her magic tended to be a little wild to start with, but, she knew that it'd be nearly uncontrolled right then and there.

Cheshire followed the sect leader, not that he had much choice. "I don't suppose now's the best time to tell you that i can teleport. Here, I'll get us on top of carl's pizza" Taking the leader by her wrist, Cheshire started fading away, the effects working on the sect leader as well. about five seconds later, they were on top of the pizzaria. The blob was getting steadily closer, the stench still permiating the air. "maybe if we can find that void kid, he can help us. If he can stop our powers, what would he do to a blob?" I'll keep my other abilities a secret for now, they wouldn't work on the blob anyway so no need to go revealing all of my secrets.

Melvin's mood pulled a 360 as he neared his home he shared with his girlfriend Mary. He saw her waiting for him on the stoop as she usually did. She always seemed to know when he was around. Melvin loved this ability of hers, it was the closest thing to magic that he had ever seen. "Hello fair maiden, have you been waiting long?" He asked her as he always did. She answered something different each time, which to him was a treasure and a treat at the end of the day.

"Kombanwa Mel-sama! I've been waiting here since a hair past mole, but only came out an hour after the black swan clucked." She told him throwing her arms around him in a small glomp. Melvin didnt understand what she meant, but he never did anyway.

She was wearing a black cat-eared hoodie with baggy belted skater shorts and striped black and pink leggins with gothic lolita platform shoes. Despite the black platforms she leapt easily onto his back and sniffed at the air. Her blond hair tickled his nose. It smelled faintly of pinacoloda from her shampoo.

"Mel-sama," She said hesitantly smelling the air once more. "Something wicked this way comes."

Law was too in the mood now to care, he'd give any normal humans a scar, and any cultists he spotted were going back to hell where they belongs, as for whatever hostages they had, the'd be freed and taken care of by an 'anonymous' tip to the police.
The elder demon vaulted up a ladder, clambering up it swiftly and silently as he found his way up onto the rooftop, crawling along it in the darkness, silhoutted byt he moonlight to the point he really looked like a roving beast atop the warhouse, prowling for his next meal.
Once he found a way in, an open window high above, he crawled in, sneaking along the girders and looking down on the prey, so many of them, but it looked like a gangsters convention, though further near the end some girls were locked in a cage, some younger than they should be. How despicable, selling off girls so young for training to become prostitutes in these bastards drug-rings and so forth. Gangsters, he loathed them as much as cultists.
Hurry up, Rowen, I wanna scare the shit outta these hopped-up PUNKS

Rowen's eye brow twitched, why did it always seemed that he was used as a distraction? He was sure to take his time walking to the front door (he always enjoyed testing the other demon's patience) before he stood in front of it and rubbed his hands together.
"Okay," he mumbled to himself looking over the door. The demon looked thoughtful before stripping off his white trench-coat and tying it neatly around his waste. His tale uncurled from around his torso and swung freely as he stretched his wings. Rowen always liked a good scare tactic, it gave him time to tell when he was going to get shot at and for the people to scream. He clenched and unclenched his fist before kicking down the door. The rusted hinges immediately snapped from the sudden force and the thin metal door hit the dusty concrete floor with a thunderous bang. If this didn't get their attention, he wasn't sure what would.

"Carl's Pizzeria? No-" they were teleported before she could finish that sentence, "AWAY from innocent regular humans would really have been a better option. Here giant goo monster, have some snacks, they don’t know how to defend themselves!" She sighed, knowing she would be in so much shit for this. That said, it was sort of out of her control, so she'd probably just get a nice long boring lecture, and maybe some threats of more of a budget cut. "Or not. Alright then," said Randy trying to think of how to stop this thing. "Fire didn't work, I can't use water magic, which leaves earth." Which was actually her first element. Much less destructive, which is why she usually resorted to fire, and had learnt earth magic first.

She took a deep breath, "Alright, if you can teleport to where the harpy you met earlier is and bring her back here, or find the void and bring him back here, that'd be great. In the mean time, I'll try to stall this thing, sound good?" She didn't wait for a response. She went into herself, as she did when trying to cast any large scale magic as the goo quickly oozed it's way forward, smelling up the city as it grew closer. And there stood Randy a top the building, arms stretched above her head, until a slight tremor shook the ground and suddenly a circle of stone looking trees shot up around the goo, barren branches twisting so tightly together that it created a sort of cage. She was on her ass once that happened, having used up too much energy to stand just then, and hoped that it'd hold the bastard for a while. It didn't. The goo being, well, goo, just sort of took out her stony trees as it oozed into them, adding them to it's collective mass.

"Aw, fuck." Her trees had just helped it grow, and now it was sprouting limb type things, lashing out at buildings as it passed and acquiring novelty sized promotional mascots. Poor Ronald didn't stand a chance.

She had made it angry, and now it was going to get even. Here's just hoping that took long enough for the others to get there.

Just as the door was kicked down Law opened fire down on those closest to the cage before leaping down on two men who were aiming their guns up, his feet impacting on their skulls and pushing them down ontot he ground whilst his angled his body around, pulling the trigger four times, the legs of the two main 'leaders' of this little joint exploding in a shower of blood and bone splinter before they hit the ground.
The dark aura around Law was spreading yet sticking close to him, these thugs could see him as only one thing, a creature from hell come to collect on their damned souls, and with Rowen there the fear only grew, two freak beings from hell. Who'd believe their ravings?
The ancient demon walked along the warehouse, shooting at the fool humans one by one, he didnt kill them, making non fatal shots that would disable them enough for cops to get them., the noise of the shouting and sudden returned gunfire not even bothering him as he began darting around, avoiding shots and shooting back at the braver of the fools. As for the runners, they were headed for Rowen who stood at their only exit.
A laugh escaped the demented creature, hollow and full of malicious joy, they'd pay for their sins, oh yes, they'd pay.

"Don't get carried away Law! Otherwise, Randy will have our heads on a platter if she finds ou--!" Rowen began to call but his voice became caught in his throat as specks of blood hit his face. He bit his lip and quickly looked away as he held up his hands. Energy quickly curled out of his palms and spread out into a dome around the entrance. He felt his talons elongate and his eye beginning to throb beneath the thin pale sheet of hair that concealed it. The smell of blood was quick to his nose and he tried his best to be ignorant of it. The curse that plagued him often brought out his more primal urges and blood was one of them, let alone the feeling of his claws tearing through warm flesh. He shook the images away as fast as his mind would allow it. Rowen just hoped that Law would pick the gangsters off as quickly as possible before he could. He drew in a breath as he heard the gunshots and the mens' fists banging on the barrier from the other side. Their pleading screams meant nothing to him, they were getting what they deserved, right? He should think of them as a meal, and nothing less.

"Mel-sama my pizza senses are tingling." She said hopping off his back and taking his hand in hers. "Im Osan nùr na'esse trasto." She exclaimed jabbering in Elvish. Fortunately Melvin had been around her long enough to know the basics of what she said. "People are in trouble? Is it Carl?" He asked starting toward the Pizzaria with Mary in tow.

"Hlaja" She whispered to him in Klingon. Melvin stepped up the pace, he was barely able to keep up with Mary's faster stride. "Ouch! Jeez Im hurrying you dont have to yank my arm off." He said to her when she pulled him just a little too hard. Their foot steps echoed in the diserted streets making it seem as if someone was following them. Melvin found this unsettling but kept focus on placing one foot infront of the other so he wouldnt face plant the pavement.

They arrived just in time to hear something wet pop, followed by the sound of rushing water. Melvin froze as he saw a tidal wave of sewer sludge rushing towards them. He snapped back into reality as Mary shrieked and clung to him. Melvin quickly dragged Mary over to a light post, pulled a rope from his trench, then wrapped it once around the light post and then twice over his wrists. Mary was cradled between his chest and the post. "Hold on -" Was all he was able to say before the entire street was flooded in sewer sludge.

It's hard to stall goo. It being made of, well, a non-solid made it hard to confine in any way, shape, or form. Yet somehow it managed to grab Randy in her attempts to stall it, throw her around like a rag doll, into trees, concrete, buildings, and it was the first thing so far it seemed intent on bashing around. Everything else was just sort of absorbed into the goo, but, Randy? Randy had pissed it off. If being thrown around by a giant goo monster hadn't been enough, she was nearly drowning in it, as well. She'd slide into it's depths, and then be thrown back out, able to catch a few breaths before it made a grab for her again. She sometimes managed to dodge a grab here or there, or fend it off with a weak blast of fire, unable to manage much more then that, but, was really starting to wish that bullets hurt this thing.

She was trying to claw her way out of it's grasp as it was about to slam her into a tree when Melvin stepped within it's radius. It turned into sewer sludge, which meant that she was sent crashing to the ground, only to have her fall be broken by the sludge as it washed it's way down the city street, her with it, until it flowed far enough out that she was left laying on the wet concrete, grey flecks dancing in front of her eyes. She rolled onto her side weakly, coughing up some of the sludge (formerly goo) that had washed it's way into her mouth and throat, and found herself vomiting a little onto the concrete. Didn't effect the smell of the area any, and it was a touch better then the taste the goo had left in her mouth. She moaned, weakly wiping some of the sludge off of her face, and then looked up.

There was Melvin. "Shoulda known it was you," she said trying to sit up, but deciding against it. The puppy from earlier stumbled over to her, and started to lick her face clean. She tried to swat it away, not wanting the thing to get sick, but it persisted and she was far too tired to fight it off. Her mind was racing though. What would happen if this guy moved too far away from the sludge? Would it reform into the goo monster? Were the others okay? How many people had seen the goo monster? What the hell was she supposed to tell those who did see it? Did any one see her summon her stone trees? What happened to the cat demon?

Rainbow finally landed with a round-off, raising her hands above her head and crying out, "Ta-daaaaa!" to the quiet air as she posed gleefully. "I love getting out," she called in response to Skyler as she danced around in the grass. She spun in circles and reveled in the wind she created blowing though her hair, then suddenly collapsed into a heap on the ground, giggling and laughing. "Dizzyyy...." she mumbled as she shifted her weight in an attempt to stand, then fell back over again. Just as she was setting up for a second go, she screeched and slapped her hands over her nose.

"What on Earth is that SMELL!?!?!?!?!"
she cried, her voice muffled by her hands but the smell's intensity undeterred. "Oh my gahd, it's destroying my brain!!!" she screamed in agony at the smell. Just over the tops of some of the trees, she though she could see something moving, just before a loud 'Pop!' sound echoed through the city, and sewage water flooded even into the area of the park where they sat. The water that reached them, though, was less than two inches deep. "That's gross!"

The rush of water drew Melvin's breath from his lungs as it pummeled his body with pressure. He held onto the ropes as hard as he could. If he let go both he and Mary would be washed away in the tide of sewage. Relief swept over him as the water receded leaving them soaked but otherwise unharmed. "Gross!" Mary cried picking a peice of garbage out of her white-blond mane.
She was not happy about this turn of events at all. Her cat eared hoodie was forever tainted with the putrid smell of the city's waste. "Hidooooiiii!" She squealed removing the dead body of a mouse that had found its way in her pocket.

Melvin chuckled at her antics as he wound up the rope that had saved them from drowning. "Aww come on Mary s'not so bad. Im sure it can wash out." He pet her hair fondly, then offered a hand to help her up.

"Shoulda known it was you,"

Melvin turned around to see who was speaking to him. It was that nutcase from the theatre troupe/sect thing. She looked peeved and he hoped, to the great nerd god Captain Kirk, that he wasnt the target of her annoyance. "How would you know it was me? Its not like I go around blowing up sewers all the time." He grumbled.

Mary interjected with a shove to Melvin's back. "Well I wouldn't say
all the time but its not like you have a stunning track record." Her mischievous grin was infectious, Melvin couldn't help smiling back.

Law really did look like he was having a good time as he wondered through the slowly thinning crowd of writhing bodies and running gangsters, what a bummer, and it was just getting fun too. The rest were too shit-scared to do anything, they couldn't shoot him, and he was a demon,t hat was enough. The girls in the cages screamed on his approach but he put the gun away grabbing the cage doors and ripping them open before stepping out of the way. the darkness that surrounded him dissappated.
The girls didnt know what to do, but their way out had been opened by this strange thing. The demon looked over to Rowen,
"Let the peons over there leave, the cops can deal with these shitheads." Law sighed, lowering his head, time to cool down. The girls were still wary of Rowen too,
"Go back and report to Randy, Rowen." He placed his hands in his pockets, "I got a few things to do before I get back."

Rowen nodded as the barrier quickly dissipated and he leaned against what was left of the door frame for support. The girls looked between the two demons before cautiously stepping out of the cage, huddling closely to each other, their eyes never leaving Law's until they reached the door and quickly exited, avoiding Rowen as much as possible. The younger demon sighed and lightly stumbled inside. The pads and claws of his feet slipping on the concrete. He gripped his eye and picked up one of the unconscious men with his free hand,
"I'll go back to Randy after I feed a little more, hopefully one dead man won't be a problem," he said as he began dragging the person to a more secluded place in the warehouse. He lost his footing for a moment and cursed while quickly regaining it.
"Thanks for getting them all, Law," he said, flashing a thankful grin toward him despite the fact that his eye was throbbing.

Skyler stopped dead in her tracks, which just so happened to be in mid leap, and quickly found herself on the ground, face first. “Rainbow. This smell is terrible. Absolutely nauseating. Good thing I cleaned my feathers today.” She said sarcastically. “I’m sure with all this terrible smell, trouble is a brewing and Randy might need help. You up for it?” she turned to Rainbow and smiled, nearly gagging on the smell.

Skyler started off running and her wings snapped open creating a sudden lift into the air. Heavy pumping got her high enough to where she could glide, it was high enough that she could see where the trouble was coming from. Back at Carl’s Pizzeria. Her wings tucked in and she sped through the air and was soon above Carl’s. She looked down and nearly screamed, a simple squak came out as she began to fall. This wasn’t good, and Randy was down there, she warned Sky against flying around near non-magical people.

In the moment that Rowen had looked away Law was gone, he was thanking air, wouldnt be long until the cops arrived too, Rowen had best hurry and get done with what he was doing.
Some way down the docks Law was sat apon a warehouse, looking up at the moon quietly. His heartbeat was racing with the thirst for more destruction, oh how it pained to supress that side of him. He didnt hate being good, it was jsut difficult to control, but he always did manage.
Calm down, come on man, you can do it... Chill He berrated himself internally, just gotta cool off before returning, rowen would probably take some of the rap but when Law got back he'd gladly take the responsibility for all this chaos he'd caused. He just couldnt go back to randy without saying he freed those girls because who knew when the deals would be done and those girls would be sold off? He couldnt let that happen, and the very thought of men acting with such evil intent drove him near crazy.
Stop thinking about it!! Think of her... Just her... Barakiel... There, thats better... Cool down... Remember back then, the tranquility she made you feel, relax...

Rowen stepped through the back door of the warehouse as he heard the sound of sirens and cars arriving in front of the old, worn down building. He wiped the blood from his mouth as he quickly clawed his way up to the roof of a neighboring building. He pulled himself onto the flat roof and took a deep breath, lightly clutching his eye with both hands,
"Damn't, why does it still hurt?" He cursed to himself. The pain usually resided once he fed but now it just remained. Rowen sighed as he stood up and began to run in the direction of where the members of the sect were from the last time he saw them. Pain or not, he needed to report back to his leader. However, Rowen didn't see a reason as to why he had to rush, they couldn't of gotten themselves into too much trouble, right?
