I figure I shouldn't actually know what I'm doing before I open a store. I'd like to do dog training and I've plenty of experience in that already.

Dog training takes a lot of time to learn, you need to know a lot of breeds and dogs mental states etc.

Oh but its not polite when people who do not speak it is around looks like we are hiding something o.O lol

Yeah, my boyfriend is very knowledgeable with dog training and the breeds. He can look at a mixed breed and pick out the different breeds that particular dog is. I don't think I could ever learn it.

I've grown up around animals and most of my jobs were animal related. I'm pretty good at figuring out what mixed dogs are mixed with, too. It's kinda fun - you never really know for sure but you can see traits of other dogs...kind of like a puzzle.

If you love dogs and have the time to dedicate to it you could. When i watch t.v it's straight to animal planet to search for dog shows, agility or hunting trials even herding competitions.. everything is a good way to learn more and it's fun to watch.

My family never really had much in the way of dogs. I really want one but with four cats and 3/4 hating dogs it's probably not a good idea in such a small apartment. My boyfriend is legally blind and having a hard time getting around the city so we may be getting a seeing eye dog soon.

@ Neko - a seeing eye dog would be cool. Now a days I believe they have seeing eye miniture horses and parrots, too. It's amazing how animals can improve our lives if we just give them a little love.

Even parrots now? That is amazing.

I"m not totally sure about the parrots but I thought I have heard that before. I know they are using monkeys for people that need help opening things and whatnot.
