yeah its hard to leave pets at home, especially dogs and fishies... cats can somehow look after themselves. I hate street cats though, there was this time our cook left some big chunk of meat on the table overnight, then the next morning some cat dragged it all the way to a few feet off our front gate!! i saw the cat, ever since i always ran after it and chased it off... grr

Yeah I'm the same way I don't like cats outside the always make a mess of things. I had a cat clam my window's screen cause it wanted in the house with my cat >.> I through my water at the screen. Cat ran off screaning and wet from head to toe >.> I had to buy a new screen because of that night

I like cats. I had one that kept the other cats in the neighborhood away from my house. It was also an expert mouser. I remember my parents saving him from being youthenized.

@kazumi cool cat.. i wish our cat was like that.. this one's lazy, if the rodent ran right in front of it, it wouldnt even bother to look where it went to... grr but it DOES hate outsiders, and chases them off from time to time

Thank you the cat weighed in at 50 pounds. The neighbor lady gave him a whole salmon because he ridded her house of Norway Rats. The cat also hunted rabbits,birds,snakes,and moles.Some of the funny things the cat would do:
It would steal your drink if it was in a glass or bottle.
Ring the doorbell and ask to be let in.
It cleaned a pitbull pup that got in the yard(ever since then the pitbull is scared of cats).
He scared a police officer because he caught and killed a snake by slapping it against his car.

Yes but I think it depends on the cat. Some species like Siamese (was used in Thailand as a temple guard)and Tabbies (where used on ships)have evolved to suit a specific need. Siamese cat and the Tabby can use the front paws like hands. I had a Siamese cat that would open doors,turn off/on lights,and eat in a chair like a human child.

Cool Lilim. I also have a Russian Blue that will meow a greeting to you. My old Russian Blue drank a cup of hot chocolate and all night he was jumping from a chair to the couch and back.
