Deneice- I go into virginia about once a month. That is where the closest commissary and exchange are for me. (military) also my brother lives in Virginia Beach, so we visit him once in a while too.

I drive through Virginia on my way to Florida sometimes

My family used to go camping in North Carolina somewhere around Pinehurst I think.

Wow. o.o;

Sounds like you guys have some form of close family ties despite the distances.

You drive to each other ne?

T o T Wow...

-bodies of water separate the islands since her country is archipelagic-

At any rate... It's expensive too ne? What's more expensive... Airplanes or by land/car?

...Or relatively same?

-curious-

A lot of that depends on where you're going and how long.

It also depends on how much time you want to spend traveling.

I'm flying to Florida in a few weeks with my Mom to go to my cousin's wedding - it cost about $300 for the 2 of us to fly.

If we were driving there would be the cost of gas plus a hotel along the way because it takes us 2 days to drive (it's 24 hours of driving - I think)

Chris and I drove to Florida before because part of the vacation was the trip - but since my Mom and I want to just get there we want to go with the faster route (flying)

we visit my brother once in a while, but more often then not it is mainly just to pick him and and bring him over here so we can teach him how to drive and we can get him to babysit the kids. XD we're not really that close of a family, but since we are the only two on this side of the country, we see each other more often then we see the rest of the family.

Driving over here took about 9 days from CA it was a good 3000 mile trip. Hotel each night and food along the way it got to be pretty expensive. I think it was over $2800 >.< Though that is probably about what it would cost flying the whole family over there. ^^;; Since it is so far away it is pretty expensive and time consuming either way.

I think the closest anyone has been to where I am is FawN.... She mentioned going to Pigeon Forge Tennessee sometimes, and that's 2 hours from me.

Busch Gardens? lol, I actually have no idea where that is. The closest one that I know of, though I've never been to it, is Dollywood... and that's in Pigeon Forge.

Busch Gardens is fun - we go to the one in Florida sometimes when we're visiting - and I'm pretty sure we've gone to the one in VA as well.

I've never been to Busch Gardens before. I did go to Cedar Point in Ohio. That was a blast.

I just looked up the website to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, and it looks cool! The rides look like they'd be really fun.. I'd probably be too scared to get on some of them though, lol.

I think even Busch Gardens is on the other side of Virginia from me. If you look at a map of Virginia, I'm way down in the very tip of it on the left side.
If you've ever seen the book Big Stone Gap, that's where I am.

I think I'm happy today. :/
the kids are trying my patience though. And beating each other up...which makes me annoyed even more. blah. I don't know what to do with the monsters. they won't be nice to each other long enough for me to sit and read to them I can't clean the kitchen or get lunch going with out them fighting...
I think I may separate all of them with gates and just force them to have alone time for a while. :/

I dreamed I was riding a zebra
with curly pink hair on his head
and when I woke up in the morning
that zebra was there in my bed.

Mel, put them in duct tape suits and stick them to the walls. They'll think it's great!

YAY naptime! I really wish adults were able to have naptime, it would make us FAR more productive. Mel, where do you live? I'll be over for dinner right after work
