we'd been talking about it for years, 4 years actually. Finally found a doctor that would do one. Most won't touch a guy if they're under 25 and have under 2 kids.

Damn it if we're old enough to make and take care of our babies, we should be old enough to say that 3 is enough! They always come back at us with "well what if something happens to one of them?" and our response... "having another baby wouldn't replace them. :/ " wtf is wrong with people, we sign a consent form, you're not liable!

Doctors think that they are god and can control everything medically for a person. Just like if one of your kids was terminally ill and you decided that you didn't want to do the treatments anymore cause you couldn't stand to see your child suffer, the doctor can turn around and go to court, file a petition that you are an unfit parent and putting the child in danger....and they'd win! Get custody of your child and continue the treatment without your consent. What kind of crap is that?

It's a huge load of crap. But since Scott didn't trust me to do the vasectomy for him, we just had to keep looking.

Yeah that is goin to be our problem... Dill is only 22 an has only one biological child... It might be what causes me to get tied ub the end...

I've considered getting my tubes tied, but I have no desire to undergo more surgeries than I have to, specially ones that take me away from my family for an extended stay at the hospital. (I think it's only one night..but meh, still no desire) Scott was in and out in just over 2 hours. Including the time it took for them to ask us 15 times if we were sure this is what we wanted. (Duh! that's why we're here! ...and smiling to boot!)

Men can be so damn touchy about their privates. We can handle somethings for them, but not others. What happened to equal opportunity? And who says you need a degree to perform that procedure? Some children's safety scissors and needle nose pliers...done!

Mel, I forgot to ask...did the pinching help more then the just pulling it tight when Scott was giving you the shots?

Scott never actually pinched when he was putting the needle in, but he did when he took it out, and I think it helped. Once he pulled it tight before taking out the needle, now that hurt more than I thought it would, and I semi-screamed from shock. He felt bad. xD

Yeah, that probably wouldn't feel the greatest being pulled tight as the needle is coming out. I'd scream too. The pinch is the key. Makes everything hurt that much less.

The birthdays are the days I am going to be most sad about. His is a week after mine and this is the second year in a row that he has missed them because he was deployed. There will be other birthdays I know. Still sad though.

Out of the 7 years Scott and I have been together, we've had 2 4th of July's together.

See, that blows. Not sure about Fflur, but there are have been quite a few holidays missed between her and her husband because he was off somewhere for work. We were talking about it when I found out that Rodd was going to Spain.
Sadly, he can't take me with him. He wanted to and asked, but they said he wasn't being stationed there, just deployed. Bummer.

How long will he be deployed there? I'm guessing its not over a year, because I seem to recall that if they were sent there for an extended period of time they would be able to take family. Maybe it's just for married people though? No idea. We never had to utilize it because Scott got out of the sea going parts <3 Most he'll be away from me now is a month. And even that's pushing it. (Unless another Katrina happens, in which case he would go there for however long to help out. but he would be compensated nicely with leave once home.)

Sexy- I put my body through it once before and I felt pretty good, I know its a lot to go through again though, specially now that I have a scar on my uterus from the c-section.

He'll be there for about 4 months, give or take. And no, you don't have to be married in order to travel with the soldier. And he gets a housing allowance even with us not being married. How crazy is that?

Well, if he's not living on base then he should get a housing allowance.

Rodd got tired of living in the barracks. Especially after the last couple of roommates that he had. I don't blame him.

Yeah, my brother has gone through some pretty bad room mates too. It's even worse that he works mids, so when he has roommates on days, they don't always respect that he needs quiet during the day to sleep. *shakes head* If he could drive he would be welcome to live here, but I aint driving an hour twice a day to take him to work. lol.
