My issue was that I have 1 sister and 3 brothers <.<* And Dillon has 1 brother and 1 sister... To have all of them in the wedding would be ubber impossible...Unless I have a huge wedding party which I just don't want >.>*

I have two brothers and one sister, Scott has one brother. And technically like 3 half brothers and a half sister, but he doesn't talk to the latter 4 so I don't have to include them in anything. I do not get along with Scotts brother at all, and so don't want him in the wedding party. I know I want 3 bridesmaids. What are they for? I have no idea, but there are 3 women I'm close to and would love to have with me on my special day. But then Id have to deal with Scotts brother as one of the 3 men. urg. xD

The original reason for bridesmaids was a pagan belief that if there were a group of woman dressed alike it would confuse the evil spirits and they could not posess or something like that... The bride... It was something similar to that at least ><;;

So you can dress them in a hideous dress of all the same color to make you look more radiantly beautiful. :)

I can only imagine the issues that would exist if there were going to be 4 bridesmaids like originally intended. We'd have to dig up 2 more guys...

But if they're in hideous colors they'll ruin the pictures! I think I'm going to go for a light purple for them. but then my wedding colors are pink and purple, and that's really girly. Not that Scott would care, he's already agreed to a pink hankie in his pocket and a pink vest thinger. Black tux + pink = totally hot. <3 And so that will go really nice with my dress. I know I want my cake topper to be the scene in fantasia where the alagator is holding up teh ballerina hippo as they're dancing (inside joke xD) so that's pink, purple, green, and black. hurm. xD Maybe purple dresses with a green sash? ooooh I figured out why they get hideous dresses! xD

What's with the lack of good men to be in weddings? LOL. I swear I know the girls I want, but I can't stand Scotts brother, His best friend is awesome, I'd be happy for a couple of the coastie guys we know to be in our wedding...but they'll be god knows where in 5 years when we have the darn thing! *sigh* Good men are so hard to come by. At least in packs. LOL.

I just realized I need to read Hamlet by Saturday. I dislike Hamlet. I also have a research paper that I've finished the research for, and need to write up due sunday, a lab test tonight a bio test on Monday and a quiz due sunday. I swear I haven't been procrastinating...I just forgot about some of it! lolz. I'm ready for my lab test though! I get to look at microscopes and identify things. I love identifying things under microscopes! It makes me all kinds of happy. (:

I am allowing Fflur and Jamie to pick out the style of their dress, they just have to get it in the designated color. Which in this case would be ruby red, very pretty. Fflur is probably going to go for a more summery shorter dress and Jamie is going full length. I don't care, as long as the color is correct.
Light purple wouldn't be so bad, but are you going to make them wear all the same dress? Are they all the same body style....

I am actually having the opposite problem... I can't find gals I want in the wedding... I honestly don't want FAMILY in my wedding >.> partially cause they are who is suppose to be in the pews >.>* and well I have like grand total of 2 friends.... Both female.... And I think if I invited my best friend to be my matron of honor and not her twin sister the sister would be sore <.< If we have the wedding in the next year or so... My niece won't be big enough cause she still is learning to crawl... I need to at least be walking steadily enough that one (or both boys) just need to hold her hands and guide her not really HELP her ><;;

Dillon has his groomsmen panned out already he wants his brother and friends Frank and Nick...

As for color we are soooo indecisive in that matter... Dillon loves green and I love purple (lavender is more correct) all of my bridesmaids will wear the dress I pick though... Mostly cause I particularly don't trust my sisters judgement >.> she'd wear pants and a tee shirt if I let her have too much slack but the dress will be the same design as mine just in a darker color!

*raises her hand* I'll come be in your wedding Jaz, promise not to make a fool of myself or you, but I can't promise that I won't kick your sister in the ass...or give your mom the death glare.

I'll be your bridesmaid! Other than my aunts wedding I've never been IN a wedding. And I want to. lol.

I'm going to designate the color and length of the dress, I may designate the cut, but I haven't decided yet. It depends on how my besties look in the dresses. xD I'm not going to have anything too clingy I'm thinking a bit of a flowy almost toga like but much prettier goddess look for their dresses. Since it will be a june wedding, and probably in Cali, it will be warm and I don't want them over heating while getting funky on the dance floor. And i know one of them is uncomfortable showing her legs (she dislikes her knees o.o ) So it's going to be long and pretty. I'll probably come up with a design and see how it looks on them. lol. I'll be bridezilla. I waited 10 years, I'm allowed to be. (:

Someone at work told me that I should have a bridal shower and the more I think about it, the better the idea sounds. Cause receiving stuff is fun.

Is a bridal shower the party people take the gifts too? Or do they bring presents to both a bridal shower and the wedding? If it's to both you might be shooting yourself in the foot, since that's a lot of money to spend in such a short amount of time for guests.

One of Scotts friends recently got married (okay it was in like October...) but we'd saved to get him the $50 present that we got him for two months because a lot was happening for us around then. It's March and you're planning the wedding for June. That's not a lot of time. (Unless ya know your friends are loaded. lolz. )

The bridal shower I went to was for the bride... She gets all kinds of pretty fancy things for the wedding night!!! At least that is as far as I understand!

The one I went to she also got a lot of cleaning supplies cause most of the people were trying to tell her her house was nasty LOL >< It is usually held by the brides mother I believe ^^

In this case, the bridal shower would be mainly the people from work who can't come to the wedding because it's way too far away for them. So in reality it's a way for me to get double the gifts.

It's just a break so I can concentrate on other things. It's mostly sad because I'll be disconnected with everyone else on staff while I'm off. But I need the time. As sad as it makes me. The new mods are awesome, the old ones are awesome, I know they'll all do a great job while I'm gone, I'm just going to miss them. ^^;;
