Weren't the colored blocks indicating where the time zone lines were? Because some states were split between time zones. While they basically followed the same zone as the states around them, some had parts in one and parts in another. And that explains Arizona. It doesn't know what the hell time zone it's in. It can't decide if it wants to join California or hang out with the rest of the mountain clan. *sigh*

Yeah the black and decker ones. And another little book about yard art...like painting the rocks and stuff. It was cute. I want to make caterpillar borders for our butterfly garden. xD It would be so cute!!

I think that a non professional made the map I went searching for one that showed the indecisive states though lol... I thought there were more then two though *shrugs* I am pretty sure that they do follow state lines other then that though... Lemme see... Nope your right... The part of SD that my cousins live in is part of our time zone and the other is part of it is in Central? I looked at 5 different maps they all said the same... That is stupid ><

Ohhh I wanna see what a catapiller border looks like ^^

I sooo want to shoot the cats in our area who keep crapping in our yard... The ground is frozen so they are just shitting in plain sight and it is RIGHT in front of the door... I am a bit pissy about that atm.. Sean and Michael stepped in it cause neither one of them can stay on the cement >.> not to mention that it will cause problems with growing grass as well... Stupid cats...

Stupid other people's cats...

You're making a scarf mellie? o: I have one that's in progress. It's called plum wine, but it just looks like a pretty rose color to me. someone's pic... XD I matched up the yarn, hook, pattern so there's no reason for me to abandon the idea. That happened a couple times before. I've managed a good bit so far 23 rows out of...several more. XD It's actually relaxing once I get into crochet mode. I ought to do a few rows tonight while I'm thinking of it. Are you knitting or crocheting?

crocheting. (:

I've made 3 scarves so far. I'm still learning. One is horrible and I never want to see it again. I started and stopped it at least 6 times and I think that's why it turned out so bad. xD I lost stitches and gained them so randomly...yeah. The first one I made turned out really well though. It's a mixture of blues and purples. Then I made a purple one for my daughter right after Christmas. It only took a couple of weeks. Which made me happy. So I need to start the rainbow one for Kura since I want it finished by her birthday. and OMG when we picked up the yarn today, I picked up one of the "simply soft" ones as well. I touched it and had to have it. I got the grape. It looks neon purple though. xD
I find it pretty relaxing too. Scott always says that I look annoyed/pissed off when I crochet though. But it's just my concentration face! xD He gets the same way when he drums or plays the piano. I'm scared to talk to him because he looks so angry...but he's just focused! haha.

I kinda want to learn to knit though. It seems...interesting. More difficult though...but still, it would be a nifty skill to have me thinks!

Someone recommended Vanna's but I picked the simply soft for the same reason. XD I like how bernat(sp?) feels too. I wonder if it's a big deal using baby yarn for a project...not for a baby.

I don't know how to knit either. I'd like to learn at some point. I gained a couple (2-3) stitches and I'm in the process of dropping 1 in each row until it's back to the pattern. I was tempted to undo it...but then thought since it would be my first piece. I'll just be careful working on the rest of it and counting stitches. The next scarf/whatever will come out better. :3

I started to get the grape too! But it was the same color as my last failed attempt and I wanted to work on my first successful(as in I will finish this no matter what!) scarf with a different color. XD:

xD My first successful attempt was a blue/purple mix color. I really liked it.
So this rainbow yarn...SO not soft. It's veryt hink yarn. I wish I could find the package that it came in to find out what kind it is...I remember the other yarns being softer, or at least not driving me crazy because they wouldn't flop a bit when I was working in the middle of a row to get it done. Oh well. I've got about a foot and a half done. If I can keep it up I'll finish by Kuras birthday. Gotta keep it up! and I've been counting stitches (it's so much easier to count them when your yarn isn't all the same color. So I think from now on when I do a project the first couple of times it will be with multi colored yarn since it's so much easier to keep track of! O.o) I haven't screwed up on it yet and I'm SOOOO excited! haha.

It is very nice and very soft yarn...but I think I've benefited learning wise by using a heavier yarn. *shrugs* that and the soft yarns didn't have patterns or multi colors, and I wanted something rainbow. xD

I wish I had a Joanns here. ^^;; We don't have any free patterns that I'm aware of. xD Though I guess I could do an online search for them? haha. I'm just super lazy for it...though I do want to learn how to do those pretty kinda circular stitches. O.o

Nice. We have a sewing shop down where Kura went to school last year that had some free patterns...I picked up a couple of beanie patterns but never did them. I didn't understand what it was asking me to do. lol. I only know... 4 basic stitches and they wanted some fancy ones...and I Don't know fancy stitches. Yet. ;D It's one of the things I'm hoping to learn this year. (:

I...hadn't thought to do that. I should though. That would be cool. But it's going to wait until after I finish kuras scarf. (simple 10 lines of single stitches, 10 lines of double) It gives me good practice and it gets her a scarf!

I think my hand positioning is wrong. In any case, I can't do it with the yarn wrapped around a finger on my hand not holding hte needle. It just doesn't work for me...I do it my own way. >.<

I have trouble with a triple, but I LOVE how fast things build with them. lol.

I got mad at the kids during bathtime for splashing and fighting with each other so I yelled at them. After bath time Kura wrote me a note that said "Sore mom tat I ma u mad" It's so friggan cute. xD I feel bad for yelling at them now...but seriously...I dread bath time becasue of how horrible they are to each other. ;-; But they refuse to take baths alone. I think they like driving me crazy.

Maybe start enforcing baths alone? Mikes likes bathing alone... Sean does too... But it doesn't happen all that often...

I think tomorrow I'm going to do separate showers for each of them. We just got our water bill... $20 more than last month. And I KNOW it's because they turn the water back on during bath time after we've turned it off because they splash out so much of it. No more. Momma is putting her foot down now.

Mine hate the shower. I don't know what to do about that really, but I'm tired of body wash being squirt into the tub and made into bubble bath, because bubble bath is A LOT cheaper than baby wash. >.<

Haha, Sakura mentioned Miss Viola Swamp yesterday and the first thing that came into my head was Miss Nelson is missing... Miss Nelson is gone! I had to google it to make sure I wasn't crazy though. ahah. I loved the book too. It amused me. Then I read some Amazon reviews of it...and it made me laugh. Some people gave it a one star rating because it made their kid scared to go to school. Srsly? xD Some parents need to learn to put their foot down and tell their children what's what. I would NOT allow my child to not go to school just because they were afraid of their teacher getting them in line. Nu-uh. If I heard stories I didn't approve of, I'd sit in on the class, but seriously? These parents just let their kids stay home because of a book... wtf? Those pansies are worse than me!

Michael and Sean (Michael in particular) use to shower with me from the time they were baby babies... It was the only way I could get a shower in without worrying that someone was killing someone or that the baby would start crying in the middle of my shower etc... Michael stopped taking showers with me when he was about 3... I had to force them to stop! I would get up at 4AM to get a shower and he would PLOW though his room and lunge for the bathtub... I'd wake up earlier and try he'd still wake up... At one point Dillon had to hold him back and tell him to go back to bed it was "mama's shower"

Sean didn't really like showers but he did them a LOT less then Michael... Though he does them now ok.... We had to take him in the shower a couple of times when we were fixing the bathtub upstairs and he would screeeeeam... It was terrible..

Isn't there a series of books about the teachers? Yeah that is a little ridiculous <.< parents now a days are retarded... Yesterday I was reading about vaccination cause "natural parenting" had posted a link to a "new" study about there being no link between Vaccinations and Autism... One woman had boasted about how she had 3 children "insert ages here" and that two of them were in the school system. None of them ever got so much as a sniffle... And when they did she took them to the Chiropractor? WTF!!! No No and no... You are worried about being taken by a shot that MIGHT cause a disability at the cost of saving your child from life threatening disease but you will let your child be snapped and cracked by some quack for the freaking SNIFFLES!!! WTF!!! How is cracking a child's body going to help with that!!! Then they tried saying that there was antifreeze in the shot... Ok I might give them that there is a FORM of antifreeze so that the bacteria or virus doesn't die... (if it isn't already dead) but I SERIOUSLY doubt that it is what we put in our cars... Some people just don't use their heads... Antifreeze is toxic even is small doses... WHY IN THE HELL WOULD THEY PUT IT IN SOMETHING BEING INJECTED IN YOUR BLOOD...

/end rant sorry that crap annoyed me... yesterday...

But yeah... Some parents need to pull their heads out... Helicopter parenting isn't helping your child... It is hindering... I am not saying leave them to their own devices... You and I both know we would probably be left with only one child if we did that lol

Ohhhhhh man Mellie... Make the anger go away.... I knew better but I read it anyway... One of the things I "liked" on facebook put up a post about women who do egg donations... >.>;; They were talking about it in a very BAD light of course... Just makes me mad... My eggs my decision... then they decided to try to make it more from a medical since saying that the hormones that women take before the eggs can be harvested have "side effects" but so does EVERY drug you put in your body right? Err.. Sorry... /pissy..

Only the strongest survive! haha. Helicopter parents make me want to hit their heads against a wall. There is one Coastie wife. Scott works with her husband...actually I think they're getting divorced now. Anyway, their son is almost 4, and still ONLY using a sippy cup. Not the hard tipped sippy either, the squishy one by that brand that I'm sure only has 3 letters in it but can't remember right now. I don't think it's Nuk...but it might be. Anyway, a 4 year old. No real cups, no hard tipped sippys...just those almost bottle ones. D: wtf?

When she said school system, was she talking about the public or the private? xD I'm sure if she has them going to a private school where there are maybe 10 kids per class, yeah my kids wouldn't get sick either.

Link to the egg donor thing? I didn't see it on your page. xD

All hormones have side effects. You know what's awesome, a side effect of the hormone you use to create breast milk, deters breast cancer from starting. Not all side effects are bad. xD Egg donation has it's own draw backs, just like anything, the worst part is probably that your set amount of eggs gets depleted, so you hit menopause faster. *shrugs* I know the hormones I took for the surrogacy increased my chances of breast cancer -if taken over large periods of time, we're talking YEARS- and I'm sure it's the same for egg donation.

RE: showers, sakura would take showers with me when she was a baby. It got really bad when I decided to stop breast feeding her though. If I decided to take a bath or a shower and had her in the bathroom with me, she would go after my boobs non-stop. It was kinda scary. Child saw a boob and she wanted it.

Nubby is the name brand of those... I hates them...

She was referring to public cause it was a response to someone elses comment...

I didn't link it on my account I'll see if I can find it again.... But right now I am cleaning and irritating my husband about sitting here typing when I was suppose to be seeing what my Domo Flash Drive's capacity was...

Yeah I hate those cups too. They were cool for transitioning from bottle to sippy...but after that, I was soooo done with those!

Well I still think that womans an idiot. Not vaccinating your child is idiotic imo. I'd hate for her children to die of something that there are vaccinations against. Like whooping cough. which can quickly progress to things like oh I don't know...pnemonia? (I think I'm remembering that correctly anyway. xD) But yeah, why take the chance?

I should be doing laundry. And I'm about to try shower time. ;D This better work the way I see it in my head!
