I remember reading fear street, but I was never really into horror. I read mainly fantasy books as a kid, (and still do to be honest) things with Dragons, princesses, mystery creatures and other worlds. <3
I don't think they were before my time though, since Snow is a year younger then me (I think) I'm 21 ^^

my best friend was really into Fear Street and so I read those with her, I read the goosebump books that my brothers bought, but I didn't really like them. Kinda creepy to a 7/8 year old. (or was I younger?) I found one and went back over last summer and read it. I was amazed at how I used to think he was a good writer only to find out that the books were lacking to me now. :/
yeah, never go back and reread the things you read as a child and loved XD

snow- we're about 6 months apart!

Occasionally I'll reread the cinderella and sleeping beauty that my gram bought for me when I was little. The books must have cost, they have a fancy ribbon marker and just they way they're put together is nice. ^.^;

As far as kids books go, the only ones i've re-read are Roald Dahl. <3 The rest kinda got crappy. :/ Saying that, I don't even remember what I read when I was little. I preferred being out building dens and having wars with children from the next street. Such a little tomboy. xD

Oh, yes!
Pop-up books are such fun.
I also used to love those advent calendars.
The ones that counted down to a holiday.
Each day my sister or I would take a turn flipping up the day's number flap and seeing a new little holiday picture come up..
I never see those anymore.

The one that I'm thinking of wasn't purple and pink.
Though, I might have had an Easter one like that...
I'm remembering a red Christmas one.
I'm a Catholic.

O: I'm catholic too!
they still have advent calendars around. You flip up the thing and get a piece of chocolate though. I keep meaning to pick them up for the kids this year but haven't done so yet. >.< they start today too. I wanna get an advent wreath... Though I haven't been to church in a while. </3 can never find a Catholic church near to where we move. it makes me sad.

Omg Happy December!

The new contribution items are really cute too <3 I love the halo! but but but... they stole my harp idea~ D: [/sad] oh well. Looks like my set won't be chosen (big surprise? :P )

Cami- I had started the Dragons of Pern books by my sister started taking them from me and losing them after she had read them XD and I refuse to go into her room to look for them. It was such a mess. Constantly.

Yeah, I know it's that time when I watch commercials and I get teary eyed. Or I read a silly little children's book and start to cry. XD

.

I'll be 27 in 5 days :)

Goosebumps weren't around when I was reading those kind of books - they showed up for my brother.

I read a lot of fantasy and sci-fi - I've read just about every book in Mercedes Lackey's Valdemere series and I read anything I cna get my hands on by Sheri S Tepper

Cyberpunk is a lot of fun for me too . . .like Snowcrash and Neuromancer

I'm really emotional too - especially around a full moon - it's so strange- I cry more around the full moon. My parents said I was eve like that as a baby.

Chris makes fun of me because books make me cry - but I say it just means I have a more active imagination and can immerse myself better than him. (and I'm sticking to that story too!)
