Menewsha's a heck of a lot friendlier than Gaia has been of late. That, and I like how the age range here is just a bit higher- or at least, the people here are a great deal more mature- than they were back on Gaia.

Granted, I still frequent gaiaonline.com, but as I think I've said before in other posts, that is mostly to stay in touch with friends or to make certain an RP partner has not attempted to contact me through the PMs there.

I thought the avatars and their clothes were a bit limited here at first, but then.. I honestly don't care about how my avatar is dressed (just look at her now. Proof! XD) and I like how you can change hair color or style... as well as gender and skin color.. at any time you like. That just rocks to me.

I love it.
Gaia is boring.
I only go on sometimes and buy donation items sometimes.
That's about it.
No good people to talk/chat with on there.

I've been on Menewsha for almost 2 months now. My profile tells me I joined on March 12. I heard about it over on Zantarni on one of my twice a year log-ins over there and decided to check it out, immediately fell in love with the avatars, and decided to join and see what it was like. I was surprised to see so many familiar faces from other sites and immediately felt at home and welcome. There were only a little over a thousand members then and so it really had this small, intimate feel to it. People seemed more concerned about community and interaction than about pixels and I liked that. I was also delighted to see the mods being so friendly and interactive. They didn't really seem to place themselves on a pedestal like some mods on other sites can seem to. I've never been uncomfortable about PMing any of them when I needed to.

Now? Menewsha's changed a bit, but I still enjoy this place immensely. I do think the focus on pixels and gold can be a downside, but I admit, I love them as much as the next guy and it's so much fun acquiring that next item you've been questing for. It's also a big part of my fun seeing what others are going for and rooting them on. But it's neat to see that even though the community is so much bigger and it's a bit harder to know everyone, the overall majority of people here are really nice and supportive of each other. It makes you want to keep coming back for more.

At first I thought it was a place where I could just find cheap art.. and didn't really care about much else.. but I've really grown to love the place xDD

What did you think of Menewsha when you first got on?

It reminded me of gaia, only smaller, neater and somehow nicer. Less topics to post in, but at least there is no spam. I can tolerate spam but that is still something I hate on a site. I like how the GD is an actual GD, and the avatars and items are pretty too.

How long have you been on Menewsha?

Around 1 month. I'm a semi-newbie, lol. I could've been much more accomplished by my life is so chaotic I barely have time now to go on and make a hundred posts like I used to during break. I can't devote as much time now as I can when I started playing menewsha.

When I first came here my mind immediately responded "WTH? the avatars here are so crappy!"

anyways, I tried to brush that off ><; eventually, after 3 days, I became addicted to this site (I dunno why @[email protected]; ) but something invisible is luring me here! xP (maybe it's because of Mene's community :3)

I have pretty much abandoned all the other sites I used to be a regular at, including 3+ years at Gaia.
I fell in love with Menewsha as soon as I joined and started posting here.
I joined on 23 Mar 2007.

  I really dont remember, I thought it was pretty cool, but it was 1am and I didnt remember the name, then I coudent find it again, till my friend resended the link, and I got back on. :B But, I was pretty impressed on how new the site was, and how great it is.

It's smaller than Gaia, so it's better in that aspect. Although it does load rather slow. :l

When i first came on menewsha i thought it where very stange avaters lol ^^ but that's because the avaters on gaia are much smaller. im now on menewsha for 1 day :D yay!! and i think i like it.

I haven't been here too long, but I'm pretty meh about it.
I mean, it's a nice little community and everything, but I haven't made friends and I probably won't. I'm much better at making friends on larger forums and sites rather than small ones like this, since I'm usually into a lot of stuff that most others aren't into, and I'm fully obsessed with the things I like... so it doesn't really work out all that well with places like this. The forums are so-so... meh.

I hate to post anything here about Gaia and I don't like it when others keep comparing it to there. I really don't think anyone should be worried about what site is better and which one they don't like. This isn't Gaia, never will be Gaia, and is a lot different than Gaia.
Although if you really want to make this a contest, I do like it better there than here. It's a huge place, lots of friendly people and I've made dozens of friends that I keep in touch with regularly, and some who I've even met in real life. So it's not really a competition for me as to which I like more.
