I hate Ginny from the Harry Potter series. She's such a mary sue--she's popular for no good reason, somehow attracts the opposite sex as if by magic, and ends up with the main character. And she's just so... GUWAH. I hate her. I hate her. I hate her. *storms off in a rage*

...I could probably make a veeeeery long post about this, but I don't think I'm going to just because it would take too long and I need to go to sleep soon. So bah. Just know that my hatred for Ginny is immense.

I cannot remember her name, but she was in Jeffrey Archer's "As the Crow Flies".
She was the mother of Guy (I forgot his last name).
I do know that I hate her.
Also Guy.
It's a nice book, really.


And I looove Archer's international bestseller "Kane and Abel". it's one of the books I'll never forget.
It's really nice.
I recommend it to all of you.

Sirius Black is one of my favorite and most loved characters in Harry Potter!
I didn't read the Harry Potter series until lately, but that doesn't matter because I love it!
I've seen the Order of the Phoenix movie before I started reading the series, but I do know that Sirius Black died.
And while reading the third book, I knew all about Sirius Black, and I got sad because I knew all along that he was going to die in the fifth book.
I cried soo much in the third book.
It's one of my favorites, only second to book seven.
I don't really care much about Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, or Ron Weasley.
The character I like the most is Luna Lovegood.
She's really funny and weird.
I guess the character I hate the most in Harry Potter is uh.. I can't think of someone..

But I do love the seventh book!
I always cry when I read books.
(I always cry whenever I've finished a book, especially if the ending is happy. I still cry because of the fact that I've finished reading that book, which I consider to be an achievement.)

Anyway, back to book seven.
My favorite part is, if I remember it correctly, Chapter 33, the Prince's tale. I sooo cried a river.

Yeah, I know I'm not supposed to talk about these things in this thread since it asks for the most loathed character in books.

I do not hate anyone in Harry Potter books. ^_^

As for characters that I hate. . .

Nightshade from the Chronicles of Elantra by Michelle Sagara.
Umbridge from Harry Potter.

From time to time I want to string up every single self-righteous Gryffindor, of whom Ron Weasly and Harry Potter head the list. Maybe it is just that we see more of them than of any other house, but they so frequently take the attitude of being the best house that it is truly painful.

Similarly, on the obnoxious and self-centered character list, is Mr Toad of Toad Hall. Admittedly, I haven't read the book, but in the animated Wind in the Willows movie he is almost tolerable at best and at worst he is more than deserving of the fast forward button.

I have always absolutely LOATHED Raoul from The Phantom of the Opera. He does nothing but whine, and practically forces Christine to like him(Maybe she did, even at the beginning, but that wasn't the impression I was under.), and stalks her down. o-o;. Then he goes out of his way to try to get rid of Erik, just because Erik just so happens to like the same girl. >_>;. *stabs Raoul*
I also loathe Marius from Les Miserables. I've always found him to be a giant loser- he's the perfect archetype of the male girl's manga/anime hero, which is also an archetype that I can't stand. :(. *stabs Marius as well*

Ja... Marius was a bit of a whiny turd. Good thing he got some balls near the end though, and decided that getting shot and killed alongside his buddies was more important than obsessing over a flighty ex-con's daughter.

And I rather like that point at the end of the Broadway where he kicks the shit out of Thenardier.

And speaking of despicable characters... Thenardier.

I mean, at first he's just greedy. Then he just becomes an absolutely despicable wartime profiteer and sewer wretch.

That said, I found it amusing when he did his 'master of the house' bit after he and his wife got rich, and started making fun of all the nobles.

I don't have a specific character from a specific book but I absolutely HATE when characters act completely stupid! When the answer is right in front of their faces and they just keep skirting around it... I know it's just for the suspense but it really bothers me. ^^;
