You should wait two and a half years.

Clair- I should wait two and a half years? I have to wait 6 months after the birth before I can sign on to be a surro again, and it's about a year between signing up and getting to actually be a surro. xD So it's like a year and a half. I see no reason to wait two and a half years. The twins were a year and a half after Kura and my body handled that fine.

Jaz- One embryo from each. So if it's twins it's probably both of the embryos. If one splits into twins on it's own then they'll do the surrogacy again since they do want each of them to have a biological child. They plan on having as many children as they can afford to (comfortably) but they plan on adopting children once they have their biological ones. One is the last of his line and so we're mostly hoping it's his embryo that is giving me the numbers. If it's one from each that's great but we're hoping for one more than the other. :P That sounds mean, but it's true.

Clair...Why? Jaz is planning another baby sometime soonish... It takes approximately a year for a mommy body to fully heal from birthing but lots of mommies have babies that are way closer in age then that... I know one mom that got preggers when her baby was less then a month old O_O she didn't listen to her doctor LOL

Mellie...Oh that makes since... they sound like they are going to be wonderful daddies ^^

That's the amount of time approximatly that it takes for a woman's body to heal. (2 1/2 years) A doctor told me that. And I stick to that. I should have said "At least two and a half years."

Both my doctors (my ob and my general practice) asked if I was going to have another soon less then a year after Mikes was born. At the time I was appalled at the idea cause well I wasn't with a good man or anything... Now everytime they ask (I actually have 3 doctors on my my back now... My ob my GP and my endocrinologist) lol... My mom got pregnant with my sister at 11 months and she is doing fine!

My OB/GYN's always said to wait at least one year. :3 I've never heard it being over two years.
I've had 3 years between the twins and this baby. And I don't feel like my body is as "ready" my boobs are super sore, I can't work out my tummy at all (but that's more of an IVF thing than a baby thing) and I feel like this baby is going to be a large chore on by body.
If I have to have a c section it will be longer though, heaven knows I hate healing from that more than anything in the universe. $3000 is NOT WORTH THE PAIN!!!

Oh, I know people do fine, but really, it's healthier for your insides.

Also, can anyone PLEASE tell me what HEALTH benefits come out of KNOWING THE BABY'S GENDER BEFORE IT'S BORN!?

I hated my second pregnancy and it was three years later almost four >.> I wasn't ready to be preggers again my body hated me LOL... All my docs have told me to wait a year...

There are no health benefits that I know of... I know that there were already ENOUGH surprises in pregnancy and delivered... Mikes had a hole in his heart when he was born and I almost lost Sean so yeah knowing their gender set a peace of mind for me... Especially when Sean was born... I so very much wanted a girl that I was disappointed to find out he wasn't when I so thought he was. I couldn't imagine going though that at his birth it would have been devastating going for 9 months really believing he was a girl only to find out he wasn't.

Are there health benefits? Maybe you won't stress as much over the color of the room or the clothes you have to buy for it? I have no idea. I didn't know people thought there were health benefits.

I didn't know 100% Kura was a girl before she was born. I knew the twins genders, but with how many ultrasounds I had for them to make sure everything was still okay in there there was no real way for me not to know. xD

Yeah, all my doctors just say to wait a year. They wouldn't listen to me when I said I didn't want anymore and that I would be waiting longer. xD

Speaking of boobs.
Do they go back to their somewhat normal size somewhere down the road after nursing? Because my back hurts.

Well, some people say it's healthier... I have no idea how. It's not like you can do anything else with your pregnancy knowing the gender.

When I have children, their rooms will have themes, not colors. No pink for girl, blue for boy crap.

I guess if say there was some abnormality on the X chromosome (Like hemophilia) it might be a good idea to see if it was a boy or not? Not sure.

My kids rooms had themes, though the twins didn't really but I totally wanted Noah's Ark (they came onto the boat two by two one boy one girl...it was cute...but I couldn't find anything but a nightlight and some stuffed animals.

Panda- yes, they go back to their normal (or almost normal) size when you stop nursing. I was almost a DD with the twins and went down to a almost D C cup after I stopped with the twins. With my first daughter I went from a almost C to a full C but never lost any of that. >.>
I can already feel my "girls" growing, and I haven't even started nursing! D: I can't wait to be done with progesterone. So done with what it's doing to my body. My bras aren't fitting and I don't feel like spending more money then I have on bras that I'll only wear for 9 months! >.< [/rant rant rant]

Clair- I can't see any reason for knowing the gender to make anything healthier. Most "diseases" in a baby can be found in ultrasounds, blood tests on the mother etc. So there really shouldn't be much to worry about. :/

Yeah I know that Mellie O_o *gentle hugs* poor girlie!

Panda I breastfed both my kids both went to a DD in pregnancy further in the 1-2 ish month and then it settled down a lot I was probably a D during nursing and now I am back to a C

Clair why do you ask?

Because it was something I was trying to understand. So many people told me it's healthier, but couldn't give me a reason WHY! Ugh. It just annoyed me.

Clair's chest is quite flat because she's so petite in size. So, when she starts gaining weight and size in the future from pregnancy, I'm actually gonna look healthy. :P

Sadie's nursery has a forest theme: Green walls, dark brown furniture, deer and bird print bedding. No way I'd be able to look at pepto bismol pink walls everyday. I would have gone insane by now.

I was a rather comfortable C pre-preggo. Now I'm a busting out quadroboob DD and I don't want to spend any more money on bras. I wish I could just get by with sports bras, but I need some support=3

Meh it really doesn't seem healthier... Maybe they mean it gives peace of mind I know a lot of people who waited to find out the gender! My sister in law for one! They still do ultra sounds and blood tests on you to make sure the baby is ok they just don't tell you the gender. They ask if you want to know and if you don't they don't tell you though they keep records of it I'm sure. Cause they didn't move the picture when they told me the boys genders...

Michael was a hodge podge baby he had what I could afford... Which wasn't a lot... His bedding was teddy bears on a greenish background with a snoopy blanket my mom made him. Until he got a toddler bed then it was disney babies on a yellow background... Sean has had Whinny the Pooh as his theme cause that is Dillon's mom's favorite cartoon >.>;; The idea of never growing up appeals to her. I am sick of Pooh personally LOL... The boys have a Safari theme now ^^ Mikes had cars for a while... Because he is/ was VERY VERY into those...

Clair just wears sports bras. She doesn't have any other bras because she doesn't need other bras. xD
That's how flat chested I am. :P

Sadie's room sounds lovely. That's what I'll do for my children. Beautiful themes like that.

I had a feeling the whole time it was going to be a girl. :3

I knew Kura was a girl. I just knew it. The ultrasound wouldn't confirm it for me, but damn it when I was pushing that baby out I knew it had to be a girl. Saw she was indeed a she and I rested semi-happily for the entire time they were cleaning me and her up. It was a very pleasant surprise to be right. That and hubby and I both reeeeally wanted a girl.
With the twins I wanted a girl, it had to be a girl, because I didn't want a boy. Scott wanted a boy. >.> And we had one of each. Knew it at the earliest ultrasound I had with them though. So it wasn't a surprise at all. Though, having twins WAS a surprise. xD
It was a good thing we knew though, because I LIKE PINK so I was able to go out and get melody the pink car seat I wanted to get Kura but no one would let me since I didn't know for a fact she was a girl. I also got to get pink blankets and cute dresses for her to wear while it was still summer. It was awesome walking around hubby carrying aaron in his green car seat and me carrying Melody in her pink one. Pepto bismal pink is pretty. I hate the stuff, but I LIKE THE COLOR. hahahaha.

and tonight, I put on my big girl panties...and did my own progesterone shot. I feel bad admitting it hurt less when I do it myself. The progesterone doesn't sting going in like it does when other people do it. Maybe because I'm concentrating on trying to move the stopper down? It's hard to move. >.< But: I did my own crazy inch and a half long needle shot in the butt tonight. be proud of me. xD

Yes go you... I'll always be wearing diapers in that category I go pale whenever I see a needle much less if I have to do somthing like that too myself CONGRATS MELLIE!! YOU DONE GOOOOOOD!

I don't particularly like the color pink nor do I dislike it... In fact I am wearing pink right now... *shrugs* nothing wrong with that.... If I get my little girl I am going to douse her in the stuff! She is going to be a pink frilly little angel until she tells me not to anymore... The difference is that I am not like other people in the world... Boys can play with baby dolls (actually want to get Mikes and Sean one because Michael isn't allowed to play with his sister's dolls because they are girl toys) and girls can play with trucks... Gender rolls are a bad thing specifying that liking pink when you are a boy makes you a sissy or blue makes you a tom boy (I was called a dike in elementary for liking blue and not pink)... is WRONG! But yeah... I am going to smother my daughter in pink... My mom already bought a pink 5 foot ballerina that is hanging outside my sisters room waiting for her first granddaughter!
